I'll guarandamntee you it ain't Secretary Shinseki!!
Among those 300,000 employees over there at the VA are a whole passel of career civil servants.... Grade Levels in the Senior levels of GS-16 thru GS-18. All living la dolce vita with a taxpayer paid salary in the $200,000 range, plus cars and other perks of course. They have been there for years, what ever the VA is or isn't - they created it.
It certainly isn't managed by a political appointee of a couple years..... his job is to make appearances, testify from talking points prepared by those civil servants before congress. Remain calm was the elected representatives and senators bloviate for the cameras.....and generally, stay out of the way of the worker bees.
Thus it is, firing the Secretary doesn't solve the problem -- he'd just be replaced with another political rewardee who helped the POTUS on his campaign or something.. And who would spend the first year just finding out where the bathrooms and the coffee pot were..
Nope, if you want to get to the bottom of the problem, you've got to start by firing - all those hundreds of senior civil servants.... loudly and with great fervor. If they knew about the problems and did nothing, they deserve the axe. If they didn't know about the problems, after years on the job.. the really need firing!

Quote of the day.....
Y'all recall Michelle Antoinette standing in the White House with a Tweet Hashtag sign about rescuing the missing girls in Nigeria....
Well, it had to happen:
Ain't that a sorry state of affairs we've arrived at early in this 21st Century?
By the way, one last comment on BO's West Point speech -- I was honestly (don't know why though) caught by surprise when he announced that he is gonna ask Congress for an additional $5 Billion tax dollars to fight terrorism in Syria or something? Last time I check, DOD's budget was half a Trillion dollars and the State Department's overseas spending budget was like...... large!
So why an additional $5 Billion? Maybe those Islamist Terrorists in Syria are running out of ammo.
Well, it had to happen:
"America’s toughest fighters, members of the elite Special Operations Forces, are watching with growing concern as the social-media hashtag #bringbackourgirls becomes an international campaign…
According to two well-placed defense department sources, senior Special Operations commanders — those in charge of the Navy SEALs, Delta Force and the Ranger Regiment — have told their men to be ready, assuming that eventually “the hashtag will bring us out.”
“We’re being tweeted into combat,” said a military official who spoke to NBC News but asked not to be identified."
Ain't that a sorry state of affairs we've arrived at early in this 21st Century?

Sometimes I make good decisions... today was one of those days....
When I heard that Obamanation was going to use the West Point Commencement Speech today as an outline for his last two years with his feet on the furniture in the Oval Office, I was tempted to tune in. I didn't....
And I am sure glad... I might have hurt myself or my shiny new flat screen TV. Apparently he used his teleprompter time to tell this class of brand new Army Second Lieutenants that their charge in uniform would be to control climate change... or something...
Obama made a number of references to the environment and climate change, on which the president has increasingly focused in the past few months. Obama framed climate change as a national security threat that must be combated as such. Obama also said the U.S. plans to push for an ambitious climate treaty during the negotiations of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate. "That spirit of cooperation must energize the global effort to combat climate change – a creeping national security crisis that will help shape your time in uniform, as we’re called on to respond to refugee flows, natural disasters, and conflicts over water and food," Obama said.
Ain't that a kick in the head -- our troops are being shipped out on multiple deployments to Sandland and around the world.... trying to keep Islamic Terrorism off our shores.... and the Commander in Chief wants the new generation of Army officers to keep their beady eyes trained on global warming. Give me a break!!
Moreover, give them a break!
Next thing you know, he'll be giving a new mission to NASA. Send them out to make Islamists proud of themselves or something. Forget space travel. What's that you say..... he already did that? Oh never mind!!!

Choke Points - Part II
If you scroll way down this page to my post of May 14, "Choke Points", you'll note my concern with illegal, Chicagoland type tactics used by the DOJ to shut down Payday Loan joints.. In that post, I expressed concern that this tactic could grow... and grow...
How sad to be right!!
Apparently, DOJ is using this Choke Points tactic to shut down gun shops, ammo sellers, .... even porn stars.... where does it end?
Like the attached link hints, supposing the next administration wants to shut down Planned Parenthood or abortion mills in general.... if the precedent is set -- who is to stop them. God help us if a PETA zealot gets elected, or selected --- there go the meat markets!!
Take a minute to read today's article by Ed Morrissey.

.... "they doth protest too loudly"
There has been a whole lot of screaming in Washington this week by the various Veterans Service Organizations (VSO's), like the VFW, American Legion, DAV, ... The disappointing surprise is that the loud complaints aren't about Obamanation, Shinseki, or the Veterans Administration's poor service criminally poor service of military veterans over the last few years...
Unbelievably, these VSO's and their leadership have been venting their anger at Senator Richard Burr (R-NC), who had the temerity to point out that these self same VSO leadership teams have been very quiet in the face of this most recent scandal. Yep, they are madder at Burr and his utterances then they are at the VA and it's failures...
As reported in Politico, com, the VFW chief said Monday that Burr should be ashamed of his conduct. And also reported on by Redstate.com, they pointed out that it appears likely that the senior career staffers of these VSO's are more concerned with their status and access in DC then they are about the dues paying vets of their organization.
Kinda reminds yer ole' host here - of the modern day union hierarchy in this country, who are less concerned with member's benefits.... and more concerned with numbers of members and dues income for the unions.
Every time I hear a high ranking member of a volunteer organization verbalizing their altruistic bullshit, I pray for somebody to release the travel, lodging, food and entertainment expense accounts of these folks. There are the no benefits volunteers (usually at the local level) and then there are the other volunteers.
These VSO officers and careerists fall in the latter category.
I could rant on here, this is not a new topic for me - but if you'll click on those two links above, you'll get the picture!!
Any time you think are looking at a totally caring and volunteer outfit -- think AARP, and the billion$ they are making off their sweetheart deal with the current POTUS by supporting Obamacare..... then think again!

More smoke & mirrors..... or a step in the right direction?
The headline on the article in TheHill.com reads, "Pentagon to close 21 facilities in Europe"
Finally, sez I! And a long time coming.... then I read the first paragraph which states:
"The Pentagon announced Friday it was closing down 21 military facilities in Europe, a move the Department said would save $60 million annually."
$60 Million --- SIXTY MILLION? Hell, the DOD spends $60 million on yard maintenance at the Pentagon... that's chump change, so what's up wit dat?

The truth outs itself in paragraph #3....:
"The closures are comprised mostly of recreational and housing facilities
at U.S. and NATO military bases across Europe, such as a skeet shooting
range, a hotel and a golf course. But some munitions storage facilities
will also be shuttered."
Ahh so! (my Oriental friends would say) or The Penny Drops (my Brit friends would say).... DOD is gonna shut down a couple rec areas. screw the troops and take the credit for saving us money while forcing the troops to spend those Greenbacks in the local economy!!

Gift Shop in the 9/11 Memorial??
I had heard that the new 9/11 Memorial/Museum had a gift shop, but found it hard to believe -- even for NYC.... but now, alas - I believe!
The inmates have taken over 'Prison, USA'.....
There is a very disturbing headline on the Internet this weekend:
"45 senators, including vulnerable Dems, are asking the EPA to delay incoming emissions regulations" (my emphasis)
Take a minute folks, and concentrate on that headline - Okay? Now then, let your attention be drawn to Article 1, Section 8, Para 18 - which clearly places all law making authority within the province of the US Congress:
18: To make all Laws which shall be necessary and proper for carrying into Execution the foregoing Powers, and all other Powers vested by this Constitution in the Government of the United States, or in any Department or Officer thereof.
Now then, about that headline... apparently 45 United States Senators fear for their perk laden lives and are asking a federal department (EPA) whose total authority and charter was enacted by Congress... to put off screwing the voting public until after the November elections.
Aside from the obvious sin there, merely postponing the pain till these self serving losers regain their seats ....... the bigger sin is the abrogation of their Congressional Authority and placing themselves in the position where they have to go, hat in hand, and say 'Mother may I' to a building full of unelected federal employees at the EPA!!
Congress has been delegating their Constitutional authority to the POTUS and the millions of federal employees for 70 years now... in an effort to maintain their three day work week and lighten their load. Do you hear that crowing????
That's the chickens coming home to roost!
Do you reckon they will ever man up and regain control of this country? Link here for the rest of the story.

It's Friday morning.....
Finishing up another week.... a three day weekend staring you in the face..... if you happen to be a gob'mint or bank employee... 'cept maybe for those troops over in Sandland ... they probably won't get Monday off to picnic and remember their KIA friends...
A couple of questions I'll be thinking about this weekend... maybe I'll explore them in here next week... or maybe not.
Worker's unions were invented to provide the solidarity needed for overworked, underpaid workers to have a voice at the boardroom tables of those millionaire corporate owners trying to extract every last dollars worth of value from their souls and bodies. The union bosses sat on one side of the table and the owners sat on the other. And they worked out their agreements..
Here's my point to ponder on this: When the gob'mint employee's union bosses sit across the table from the gob'mint employees who are paid to administer the gob'mint departments.... who is representing the interests of the American taxpayers -- the true owners of the company? Nobody, that's who! Am I the only guy who sees a conflict of interest there?
Taking it a step further, when the union president of your local police department sits across from your mayor and city council and offers the support of his union members in their next election in exchange for a pay and perk increase for the union members now... isn't there a conflict of interest there?
And finally (on this subject at least), when your school district places a ginormous bond issue on the ballot for approval -- with the local public participation in such off month elections, should teacher's unions and their members and families be allowed to vote? ... isn't there a conflict of interest here as well?
Think about this while you are grilling that steak on Monday.... you know, that steak that costs three times as much as it did before the corn lobby and your elected representatives decided that corn should be used to make Ethanol instead of fat cows, pigs and chickens..... and reasonable prices at the grocery store....

Pssst! Hey you -- yeah you, Schumer and the rest....
All you Dim's that hang around outside the Lame Stream Channels hoping to get your thirty minutes of whine on Sunday morning talking head shows....
If I've heard you once, I've heard you speak to the evils of demanding photo ID's at the voting booth for years. In your fixated, tunnel visioned minds --- it's all part of an evil plot designed by Republicans to disenfranchise minority folks and poor Dims from their constitutionally guaranteed right to vote....... right?
Well, well! Just the other day - you saw it on the news, the infamous Alec Baldwin of NYC & Long Island was arrested, handcuffed and taken to the station for two reasons: He was riding the wrong way on his bicycle on a public street .....and (get this now) BECAUSE HE COULDN'T PRODUCE A PHOTO ID FOR THE OFFICER TO WRITE A SUMMONS!
Yep, gotta love it! In this bastion of liberal Dimmocrats (like Schumer, Deblasio et al) you MUST produce a photo ID on demand. Not having one, no matter how famous, infamous or unknown you are - empowers the police officer to arrest, cuff you and haul your butt to jail.
A dirty little secret is that more than twenty of our sovereign states have such a 'Stop & Identify' law on the books.... they all specify that the officer may request, or may demand identification! Gee, I wonder what color those states are .... Blue or Red?
How about them apples?
Now, apparently we can add to the list of cashing checks, boarding aircraft, and dozens of other actions requiring ID's to be presented --- when stopped by a law enforcement officer.
But apparently not - when presenting oneself as a US Citizen eligible and registered to vote on election day... Go figure!!
Can you tell I love it when Dims pick on Dims with rules they scream are wrong?

Mayo Clinic regrets 40 paitient deaths due to neglect....
Today the Mayo Clinic admitted to the deaths of 40 unnecessary deaths among it's patients -- due to excessive wait times. Accepting apology from it's Director - the Board of Directors authorized a bonus of $8,500 to the Administrator for a job well done!
This bonus, on top of her base $169,000 salary, was topped only by her salary and bonuses of last year. Her Chief of Staff, was paid a generous $233,00 last year... his associate received a mere pittance of $131,000 plus perks...
Oh, and the Associate DIRECTOR OF PATIENT CARE was paid $141,000 last year.....
My My, how does the Mayo Clinic stay in the health bid'ness if they pay this kind of money to administrators who oversee so many patient deaths?
Oooops, my bad... this wasn't the Mayo Clinic (forgive me folks), these are the tax payer payola numbers for senior staff at the Phoenix Vet's Hospital.......
There isn't a one among us that would think for a New York minute that the Mayo Clinic, the Sloan Kettering, or any other private medical facility would pay these hundreds of thousands of dollars to uncaring, incompetent managers... Not if they wanted to stay in business for another day!
But then, these are federal employees, receiving taxpayer dollars, and being supervised by other highly paid federal employees receiving taxpayer dollars. Go along - to get along?
Meanwhile, those mounds behind the hospitals across the land are the bodies of military veterans who kept their oath! Are we keeping ours?
Why am I reminded of the 1980 movie, 'Brubaker' with it's systemic course of evil? Except of course, there are no liberal heroes in this epic.
The shoes keep dropping - but if the stories get big enough - that feller in the White House and his lackeys in the MSM just keep hiding the pea and telling us that there is no there, there!
Is there? No DOJ investigation? No criminal charges? Nobody held responsible? Hello -- anybody home?

Best (hot topic) or Worst (coldest) Cartoon of the Week?
I haven't decided which category to place this weeks Jarlsberg editorial cartoon in... what do you think? It's certainly well timed for Memorial Day Weekend!
"Despite White House spokesweasel Jay Carney's claim that Barack Obama only learned about the scandalous conditions of the VA medical system by watching recent TV news reports, there is evidence the he was actually fully informed of the problem over five years ago...and did nothing, repeat nothing, to improve conditions for those who have served our nation.
During that period, the ever-busy president has managed to find time to go golfing over 160 times, at approximately five hours per round of golf. That adds up to an awful lot of time which could have been better spent kicking asses in the VA and repairing our veterans' medical system.
But nooOOooo. The president who arrogantly boasted on the campaign trail of being able to "do two things at once" put all of his attention on ruining the healthcare system of the private sector, rather than repairing the damage already being done by an existing government-mismanaged medical system.
He partied, vacationed, and campaigned while our veterans suffered and died. And despite reports that he is "mad as hell" about this growing tsunami of scandal, no one - on either side of the political aisle - seriously expects him to do a damn thing to clean up the mess.
As commander-in-chief, Barack Obama should take full responsibility for the failings of the VA system. He should stand and face our nation's veterans, apologize, and take 100% of the blame.
Our sick and injured veterans will have to wait a long, long time for that to happen. But sadly, waiting a long, long time is nothing new to them."

'Turban' Durbin, Dim Senator from the 'land of obama'....
29 years as the face of Illinois |
This is the same Senator Durbin who on the floor of the US Senate, called U.S. soldiers "Nazis" and U.S. military detention centers "Russian gulags,"
Okay, we have established this draft dodger's (?) bonafides, now what did he say on Monday?
He opined that illegal aliens should be allowed to serve in the uniform of the military of the United States of America. He even added, "On that day America will be stronger and better as a country,"
We recently watched in horror as an American citizen, educated, mature, and commissioned as an officer and a gentleman laid siege to his fellow Army members at Ft Hood Texas. Now this SFB (that would be 'S**t For Brains' for you classier folks) socialist senator from Illinois wants to arm and train illegals, who by their very title have broken US laws, and put them in an American uniform in the foxhole next to your kids, grand kids, nephews and nieces.
Don't know about you, but the first pictures in my mind are the many incidents in the last few years over in Sandland where jihadists in sheep's uniforms turned on their own brothers and our soldiers in their killing sprees. And Durbin wants to make it the law of our land as well?
Two questions come to mind -- why hasn't this man been prosecuted for breaking his oath of office?
And of course, #2 - Why do the voters of Illinois, regardless of party, keep sending this obvious American hater back to Washington.. instead of Chicagolands' west side with all the rest of the gangstas, where he belongs?
Thoughts on the upcoming Memorial Day Weekend ---
First off, let me get this Memorial Day Weekend thing off my chest! To this old vet, Memorial Day always has been and always will be May 30th! Not some damned convenient Monday toward the end of May to create yet another three day weekend for the banks and federal feather merchants to go out and play!
Okay - that's out of the way!
Secondly - folks in this country, including the majority of elected leadership that never wore the uniform by the way, seem to have forgotten that Memorial Day (formerly known as Decoration Day) was created to REMEMBER, HONOR AND OTHERWISE MEMORIALIZE THOSE UNIFORMED VETERANS WHO DIED IN THE SERVICE OF THEIR COUNTRY.
What it is not - is Veterans Day, which was created to celebrate all US military veterans.
Now then, I realize that the day has been taken prisoner by the commercial and gob'mint interests to kick start summer play time in this country - and that's just the way of it. So be it.
I reckon this particular Memorial Day might provide a window into the soul of the current occupant of the Oval Office. I'm hearing whispers around the campfires that perhaps our Teleprompter Reader in Charge might use the occasion to address the current (and growing) obscene Veteran Administration Scandal in this country. If he does.....
If he does, it will be a reflection of with just how little meaning he and his speech writing minions regard this most hallowed of Military Holidays. After all, the Veterans Administration is about serving living Veterans across the nation, not the dead. Granted, the VA administers the national cemeteries and tracks those buried in them.... but that's not where the current scandal lies (pardon the pun),
So, if Himself comes off the golf course long enough to address the Nation next Monday - it will be extremely telling to hear his message.
I may even listen for a change..... I stopped listening to him during his thousandth speech and ten thousandth lie!
I'll get back to y'all on this topic - I'm sure.
Okay - that's out of the way!

Fickle Finger of Fate Award....
... dunno how many of you folks are old enough to remember when Rowan & Martin, of 'Laugh-In' fame, used to award the Fickle Finger of Fate. But for those of you who do remember, just think how much tougher it would be to pick out one winner per week or month nowadays.
Twixt all the social media now available, plus viral YouTubes, E-mails, the Internet in general, and such like, there is no end of nominees each week. Whee Doggies!
My nominee for May would be Donald Sterling, the not so sterling owner of the San Diego Clippers. Not so much for voicing his inner thoughts regarding the company that his (much) junior main squeeze kept --- but for being smart enough to become a billionaire ..... and yet stupid enough to let her entrap him like that!!

How about a moment on Silencers, Suppressors and Moderators?
When researching my last book, "Judgement Daze", I had occasion to do some digging into the history of that piece of weaponry that the casual observer would call a gun silencer. I think the background is interesting enough to share with y'all.... particularly since it appears that 'Silencer Sales are Booming'.
First of all, let's set the ground rule understanding -- unlike Hollywoodies like to portray them, there ain't no such thing as a gun silencer. Period! There are only sound suppressors. A handgun or rifle with a suppressor attached still sounds like a gun - and goes bang! Not silence, not phffft, not pew.... they go bang! But with much less band and flash than a weapon without such an attachment.
So, back to the topic of suppressors (we'll get to Moderators in a minute, loosen yer shorts).
Here is the curious part. I can go to my local sporting goods shop, Bob's Big Bass, Sports Academy or Acme Guns and Checkerboards -- make a gun selection, whip out my picture ID, my trusty VISA card, fill out a simple form .... and be on my way with my 9mm or 30.06 weapon of choice in less than a half hour.
However, if I'd like to be able to go to my neighborhood shooting range or to my back 40 acres and do some range practice and plinking without causing damage to my ear drums or offending my neighbors and fellow shooters - I need to pile on the ear plugs, the sound equalizing headsets or some such. Because....
If I want to buy a suppressor for my 9mm Beretta or my AR-15, I need to fill out the necessary paperwork, enclose a photo, and my fingerprints, write a check for $200 and send them to the ATF for approval. Best case scenario, I'll get my suppressor license 9 months to a year later! BTW, that's only good for the one suppressor -- if I want a second one for the rifle --- duh, guess what?
This of course begs the question - why can I buy the weapon in a half hour and yet have it take a year to get permission from my friendly ATF department to buy a suppressor for it? Well hell folks... that answer is spelled Big Gob'mint, just like so many of our woes in modern America. In 1934 (yep, exactly 80 years ago) the National Firearms Act (NFA) was passed... and in that omnibus, comprehensive bill, it was determined that only gangsters and bad guys wanted suppressors, so the law included the ban on the sale of said suppressors.
The truth of the matter was, and still is, despite what Hollywood sells, that gangstas and hoods that shoot each other and/or hold up 7/11's and liquor stores don't use or want suppressors on their handguns. They don't want them because their sheer size (see picture) make it ne'er impossible to conceal their weapon and -- they don't use them because if they do fire a shot - they want all they noise and flash they can achieve to obtain the chaos and fear that they need to inspire in the victims.
Before I leave the gangster meme, think back to the 1930's depression era, when bank robbers were doing their thing, and Chicagoland gangsters were machine gunning each other --- did you ever read anywhere that they wanted to suppress the sound of their gun fire? Nope, neither did I.
So, who were the Feds protecting us from? You ain't gonna believe this... but the evil doers that caused this ban on suppressors were American hunters trying to feed their families during the depression by hunting wild game ...... ( you are permitted to shout eeek here) --- out of season. Yessir, those varmints were going out into posted woods and national parks and harvesting meat for the dinner table. Kind of like Robin Hood did back in his day -- poaching the King's deer and birds.
Kind of gives you pause for thought doesn't it. Another example of why some of us think that every Federal law ought to be automatically sunsetted (expired) every ten years unless Congress renews it with a new vote!
I promised to get back to those Moderators. Here is the ironic part.. in the United Kingdom where some of the toughest gun control laws in the world exist, one can buy a Moderator (English terminology for suppressor) with the same ease that they can buy a long gun. No additional restrictions... Ain't that a hoot!! Yet here we stand, in the USA, and our Federal bureaucrats who cling to any vestige of power they hold over our personal lives.... refuse to relinquish their authority over this mere add-on piece of sports weaponry! Because they can.
Next time you go to the firing range with your ear plugs, sound equalizing headsets and such like, close your eyes for a minute and think just how much more enjoyable the experience would be with suppressed weaponry in that next next shooter's hands instead of the cannon sounds he is generating!

During this same period -- the Governors of the other major party have cut taxes by $36 BILLION smackeroos..
Two part question..... Identify which political party raised and which political party cut taxes
Identify which states are prospering and which are going broke
If this question stumps you --- you must be related to Schumer or Reid or Pelosi... in which case, click here for the answer!
No, friends, this is NOT an example of the new Common Core curricula being jammed down American school students throats!

The Devil made me do it....
I probably shouldn't post this entry, but as Flip Wilson, one of our more famous comedians used to say: "The Devil made me do it!"
It occurred to me yesterday when I was listening to whiny Dingy Harry off on another squeaky rant that we have a gob'mint leadership of many hues....
Our President, in the words of the Senate Majority leader, is: "light-skinned" African American "with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one." He also has good teleprompter reading skills. But little else to offer.
Our Senate Majority leader is: a pasty faced little white guy with no discernible facility for public speaking. And for whom charisma is a foreign word.
Our Speaker of the House is: a prematurely orange Ohioan who has apparently undergone a spine-ectomy under the hands of the country club Republicans.

Just in case you missed it.....
..... former Army Specialist Bradley Manning, now Private Chelsea Manning, serving out his/her conviction for stealing and sharing gob'mint top secret information, at Ft Leavenworth, Kansas.... has been granted permission to transfer from Army custody in Ft Leavenworth to a non-military federal prison by Chuck Hagel..... political hack currently serving as Secretary of Defense.
The reason? So he can become she under the knife.
Meanwhile, back at the VA hospitals across the country, military veterans are literally dying to get in for even basic heal treatment!
Go figure!!!

Dingy Harry Reid rises to the occasion......
Dingy Harry on wimmen's wages!! |
Apparently the witless Majority Leader missed the study report that shows that in fiscal year 2013, the average woman's salary on a Democrat senator's staff earned more than $5.500 LESS then the men on the staffs. And this is a repeat finding in a repeat analysis from years past.
Now, about that war on women that the evil GOP is supposed to be waging ---- according to the Gray Lady and the Dims on the Hill.... is this another game of misdirection.... ??
Say it ain't so, Harry!
Reid’s
colleagues on his side of the aisle are setting the the same example.
An analysis of Senate Democrat salary figures for the fiscal year 2013
showed that the average salary for a woman was more than $5,500 below
the average salary for a man on office staffs.
Men received the higher average salary in more than two thirds of Senate Democrat offices.
Reid’s Senate Democrats were guilty of the same thing in previous years, according to a separate analysis.

My My, the real world hits the Hollywoodies in the nose.....
After all these years of either turning a blind eye, or even supporting radical Islamists, the proverbial 'penny just fell' in Beverly Hills. It seems one of their brighter sparks read a paper there and discovered that in Brunei - they stone adulterers and homosexuals to death!!
Oh My! Who knew?
So now to make their vengeance known, they are boycotting the iconic Beverly Hills Hotel, owned by the Sultan of Brunei. By golly, that won't matter a drop of spit to the billionaire sultan, but it certainly will put the screws on the 650 American employees that work in the hotel and support their families.
Two of the loudest Hollywoodies in this effort are Jay Leno and Ellen Degenerate. Jay for reasons unspoken, and Ellen for obvious reasons.
With all the MSM and Lefties in the country keeping in step with their fearless leader in the Oval Office, .... he who would never let the words 'Islamist terrorists' cross his lips... this must be a rude awakening.
Next thing you know, them Islamist folks will stop throwing rocks and fly some huge airliners into our buildings and kill a couple of thousand of our neighbors and families. 'What's that you say, they already have and we just dedicated a memorial museum to the victims in New York yesterday? Well shucks, who knew?"
I didn't even hear the POTUS mention Islamist terrorists in his dedication speech yesterday. Hmmm.

Re-name criminal executions ----- "Very, Very Late-Term Abortions' ?
Ann Coulter, who unfortunately has been off her normal stage mark lately and fighting individual political races instead of political institutions - which is her forte`, is front and center this week.
In laying out the phony thinking of the hand-wringing, self-congratulatory liberals in the media and politics when they oppose the death penalty but support abortions - she does a handsome job. Dare I say 'adding transparency' to their thinking..
"Maybe they —[the NY Tiimes] - and MSNBC’s similarly high-minded Rachel Maddow — should comfort themselves by thinking of Lockett’s execution as a very, very, very late-term abortion. You know, the kind that liberal darling Wendy Davis filibustered for 11 hours to keep legal.
Since Rachel and the Times are such big fans of partial-birth abortion, would they mind if we took a gigantic pair of scissors, jammed them in the back of Clayton Lockett’s head and let his brain slide out? Let’s get Kermit Gosnell working again!"
Her second great point in this weeks column is to point out the Supreme Court's definition of "cruel & unusual punishment" as something that offends society's "evolving sense of decency." She then poses the question........ if Oklahoma brought back the firing squad for capital punishment and asked for volunteers to participate in instances like the recent execution of Clayton Lockett - he who after a life time of vicious crime, was convicted of raping and burying alive -- a sixteen year old girl - and received a truckload of volunteers from Oklahoma society -- wouldn't that meet the court's standard of societal acceptance?
I sure can't disagree with that position. It's a thought provoking column that will get your blood stirring, if not boiling! Welcome Back Annie!
