It's Friday morning.....

Finishing up another week.... a three day weekend staring you in the face.....  if you happen to be a gob'mint or bank employee...  'cept maybe for those troops over in Sandland ... they probably won't get Monday off to picnic and remember their KIA friends...

A couple of questions I'll be thinking about this weekend... maybe I'll explore them in here next week... or maybe not.

Worker's unions were invented to provide the solidarity needed for overworked, underpaid workers to have a voice at the boardroom tables of those millionaire corporate owners trying to extract every last dollars worth of value from their souls and bodies.  The union bosses sat on one side of the table and the owners sat on the other.  And they worked out their agreements..
Who's missing from this picture? YOU!

Here's my point to ponder on this: When the gob'mint employee's union bosses sit across the table from the gob'mint employees who are paid to administer the gob'mint departments.... who is representing  the interests of the American taxpayers -- the true owners of the company? Nobody, that's who! Am I the only guy who sees a conflict of interest there?

Taking it a step further, when the union president of your local police department sits across from your mayor and city council and offers the support of his union members in their next election in exchange for a pay and perk increase for the union members now... isn't there a conflict of interest there?

And finally (on this subject at least), when your school district places a ginormous bond issue on the ballot for approval -- with the local public participation in such off month elections, should teacher's unions and their members and families be allowed to vote? ... isn't there a conflict of interest here as well?

Think about this while you are grilling that steak on Monday....  you know, that steak that costs three times as much as it did before the corn lobby and your elected representatives decided that corn should be used to make Ethanol instead of fat cows, pigs and chickens..... and reasonable prices at the grocery store....
