Don't know if you caught it, but in case you missed it, the Manager of the upscale restaurant in the Borgata Hotel Casino in Atlantic City set up a special menu for MLK Day. The menu, which she, the African-American Manager, decided on was the purported favorites of Dr King. To wit: Fried Chicken Mac & Cheese, Collard greens, Sweet Potato Casserole and Pecan Pie..The P.C, zealots fell on it in force!! Racist!, they cried. Stereotyping!, they shouted.
They were silent on Cinco de Mayo when a special Mexican menu was offered, a Chinese menu on the Chinese New Year, and Corned Beef & Cabbage on St Paddies day.....
Some folks reached out to the local NAACLP Chapter for a comment - but none was forthcoming.... I imagine they are waiting for a advice from Fat Al!!
