NJ Senator Lautenberger -- Poster Boy for Anti-full time congress!!

The whole country was shocked recently when a young, gay Rutgers student committed suicide after being outed by his room mate on an Internet streaming video.

The jerk roommate and his female cohort have had several charges filed against them as investigations continue to find any other charges to lay on them. That being said, never one to waste a publicity seeking moment, Lautenberg decided to pile on.

"Colleges should adopt a code of conduct that prohibits bullying and harassment in the wake of the suicide of a Rutgers University student whose gay sexual encounter in his dorm room was streamed online, U.S. Sen. Frank Lautenberg said at a town meeting on campus.

Lautenberg, D-N.J., told the crowd gathered Wednesday night in memory of 18-year-old freshman Tyler Clementi that he would introduce such legislation. Clementi jumped off the George Washington Bridge into the Hudson River on Sept. 22 after the intimate images of him with another man were broadcast. His body was identified days later."

Now I don't know about you folks, but with unemployment skyrocketing, national debt skyrocketing, two wars being fought, the dollar value dropping like a stone ---- doesn't it seem like our congress has enough on their plate without conducting the necessary hearings and spending the weeks and money necessary to create still another bill on college 'bullying'?

Here is Texas, our state legislature only meets for six months every second year -- between creating and passing a bi-annual budget, and other laws necessary for effective state governance..... they just ain't got time for all this posturing and bovine excrement that those full time trough feeders have.

Maybe there is a message here..................??

BTW, doesn't Lautenberg's whole act in this unhappy incident seem to come out of a whole bunch of B movie plots with grandstanding politicians ....?
