Ole' Pecoz was plumb proud of 'Iron Hair' Boehner as he stood up on his hind legs and walked the House (and us tax payers) through that 300 page amendment to the Cap & Tax Bill before they voted the other day. Did him self proud at last, I thought....
The righteous indignation that the Speaker, and her cabal of Henry (The Nose) Waxman would drop this 300 page document on them at 3:09 am before the vote was palpable He perp walked them from page to page to page, hitting all the highlights....... we thought.....
Guess it's all just show biz or business as usual folks..... for while he hit a few important points and a few amusing peculiarities - I never heard the word 'pork', and 'vote buying' pass his lips.
And yet now, after the fact we are hearing dribbles of BILLIONS OF DOLLARS of tax payers money being doled out to some of the Dem Congressional hold outs to buy their yes votes. Best case example is the Congressette from Ohio, who claimed she couldn't vote for it 'cause it would her coal using district. No problem lady, we'll just plug in $3.5 Billion (#3,500,000,000) for her to dole out in her area of Ohio as she sees fit...... to get re-elected I reckon.
The little lady voted yes! There are a billions of dollars worth of stories in those 300 pages and yet Mr Boehner failed to mention one of them. Is that called 'professional courtesy' on the House Floor, or --- more likely, "I won't tell on you if you won't tell on me."
