It appears that the leaders in that bastion of left coast elitist liberals, Seattle, Washington, just stepped on their own ... uhh... tongues! When told that the folks in the hard working South Lake area wanted affordable housing.... the city Daddies and Mommies (who always know best) decided to give them a $50 Million dollar trolley system instead. Aptly named the "South Lake Union Trolley", some deep thinker advised them that they had a serious acronym problem!Quickly renamed the South Lake Union Streetcars, it was too late! The acronym S.L.U.T. had already grabbed hold! It became the neighborhood joke dujour. "I rode the SLUT this morning!, "Sorry I'm late boss, but I was stuck on that SLUT for over an hour!" Tee shirts popped up by the hundreds: "South Lake welcomes the SLUT!" I'll betcha after those folks spend another $5 Million of the tax payers money whitewashing this bureaucratic B.S., it'll still be known forever as the S.L.U.T.!!! Would you bet against it?
