A few words of frustration..........

The U.S. Congress, 2007
The Congressional House is a bubbling brew with honor exchanged for dissent
an unruly mob shirking its job just to dishonor our president
The stew-pot is tended by egos of lust with eyes focused squarely on SELF
gleefully adding their cupfuls of bile from the partisan condiment shelf
Others are charged with stirring the pot and constantly raising the heat
for it does take a village to get it all right, when you’re brewing the brew of defeat
I could name every name of these brewers of shame, but they lodge like foul words in my throat
so don’t take it from me, simply watch your TV, and you’ll see what you got for your vote
Where are such leaders who brought us so far, and where are the statesmen of old?
my country is crying for some to step forth; DEAR GOD, have You broken the mold?
