Maybe ALL the voters in this country aren't brain-dead after all. Maybe there IS hope for conservative candidates after all.

Breaking news....   a Californian working farmer, who happens to be white, just won the State senate seat for his district by a vote of 54% to 46%.

And the winner is..... THE PEOPLE!!

Not remarkable you say? Sit up and take notes, sez I!  This 16th California Senate District is 60% Hispanic and Dimmocrats enjoy a 22 point advantage!   

And this white working class farmer's opponent was a Dim, Latina county supervisor with a broad base of financial support and name recognition!

Apparently, folks were just plumb tired of the West Coast city elites getting in their way in the agriculture oriented once fertile (now water starved) valley of California....   

Chalk up one point for hope. Could this be a dove carrying a twig to the Ark drifting at sea?
