It's been reported that the LiUNA (Laborer's International Union of North America) has just awarded a $28 MILLION dollar contract for massive renovations to their Washington DC offices to....... (are you ready for this?) Davis Construction. Davis Construction is having it's own dispute with it's carpenter's union members.
The contract does NOT REQUIRE THE USE OF ANY UNION MEMBERS!
As a matter of additional interest, that same Davis Construction company (scabs and all) got the renovation contracts for the DC offices of SEIU, American Federation of Teachers, the United Food and Commercial Works, and even that self same Carpenters Union..
