I'mm back.......

I promised to let this stream of thoughts die a peaceful death --- but as Popeye so often said, "That's all I can stands, I can't stands no more!'  So like General MacArthur, I am returning - just don't have a million infantry troops covering my flanks....

What caused this reversal after all this time?

It's the morning after the day of celebration of the anniversary of the resurrection... and as I thumb thru the nations headlines this Monday morning , I see headlines from the Right & the Left that bear attention...

-In the Red State of Oklahoma crony capitalism has raised it's ugly head and the state gas & electric companies have prevailed on the State senate & house to pass a house for the Gob'nors signature which will create and charge a fee to any homeowner or business that generates enough of their own power to be able to feed some back into the grid....    Hmmm, weren't states granting tax subsidies to individual installation of solar collectors just the week before last.   If it looks like crony capitalism, smells like crony capitalism.....

-In the Alice in Wonderland world of DC, the administration's Labor Board is proposing to reverse the vote against unionizing the auto company in Tennessee because of 'outside' influence. Can you say Gob'nor?  Further, they are going to unilaterally make a rule the the companies being hit with an ambush election MUST: provide the unions with the names, home addresses, telephone numbers and shift schedule of every employee.  (why do union enforcers wear black shirts?)

Our POTUS/DOD celebrated Easter Sunday by killing at least 40 Al Qaeda suspects in different drone attacks in Yemen....   guess that broke a few eggs.....

-And on the money side: ' Rental prices on homes and apartments are at an all time high across the nation --- cause millennials can't afford to buy them -- or something.

-Finally, shades of Jimmy Carter's days - the average interest rate on credit cards for folks with 'fair' credit jumped another 2% this year to TWENTY-ONE PERCENT.    (How much interest are you getting on your savings from those same banks that are charging your friends and neighbors 21%??)

Dunno, how often I'll be back, but I hope you'll check in every now and then!
