California, the land of flakes and progressive nuts, passed yet another flaky, nutty election Bill last year.
Simply stated: Primaries shall be open - not by parties. Thus, ergo, and hence - when a Primary election is conducted, the top two vote getters, regardless of party affiliation, shall compete in the run-off election.
In California's 31st Congressional District - a predominately Democratic district - because of the split vote among the four Democrats in the primary election - two Republicans ended up receiving the highest and second highest number of votes.
Thus, by the law of the land, they shall be the only two candidates on the Ballot in November - guaranteeing that a GOP Congressman will win this former Dim's solid seat.
Ain't life and politics funny. And in Nancy Pelosi's back yard too!
Hmm, maybe instead of the title that I used above, I should have labeled this, "The Law of Unintended Consequences - Again!!"
