Heck, everybody else is doing it -- why shouldn't ole' Pecozbill!!
I know that now that you are on the campaign trail, you probably only get to read this blog once a week - instead of first thing every morning before turning to Drudge. So I'll get my bite in early.About that VEEP thing... I been ponderin' on it and have come up with a real dark horse. Might not have been your first choice but..... Governor John Kasich, Republican, Ohio...... of course you recognize him from his picture. Here he is discussing the current Veep, Bite-me's brain.
There are several reasons why I think he should be at the top of your short list.... if he would take the demotion for the sake of he Country;
- He could run without losing his seat as governor
- Has 18 years experience in Congress and knows his way around, where the skeletons are buried, and how things get done there.
- Is serving as Governor of a swing state
- Conservative to the gut! In action (congress & state), word (author 4 books) and deed (helped congress to welfare reform and a balanced budget)
- Graduated from Ohio State, not Hawvawrd
- Is 59 years old and won't just be watching the clock run out for the next eight years.
- Proved by leaving Congress after 18 years that he ain't 'married' to DC like Clinton, Dole, et al...... and remembers where the states are.
- Rumor has it that Ohio Dims are polling 90% agin' him -- so he must be doing something right!
I'd be very comfortable with him a heartbeat from the Oval Office, I can't say that about many of the rest.
