More on "Idle Hands" in Congress.....

A few days ago, last Friday (scroll down to Idle Hands), I commented on Congress not having enough to do --- or at least not concentrating their efforts where they should be.....

Here it is only a few days later and I am reading headlines that:

- the US Senate just passed a Bill to make 'Violence on Women a new federal offense or something... Word is out that it was strictly a Dem ploy to get a negative vote from some of the brighter bulbs in Congress who realize that States and Communities already have such laws. Well Duh, it's an election year and we want to be able to tell those voters that Senator X, Republican voted against a law to protect women!

- Two senators (small 's' is purposeful) want to pass a federal law removing the word 'lunatic' from all laws and regulations. How much will that cost - and what purpose does it serve? I dunno, ask the two senator lunatics who are proposing it.

- Just announced Congress wants to pass a law making it illegal to use a cell phone while driving a vehicle in the United States. Say what -- do you reckon the 50 States don't have such laws? As well as the communities?

So, our GNP is DOWN, unemployment is UP, housing values are SINKING, the National Debt is ROCKETING, Durable goods orders are DROPPING.........and as the picture gets worse, 535 little Nero's in Washington, along with his BO'ness --- want to fiddle around and micro-manage the country both for political purposes and because they don't want to address the big issues.

TERM LIMITS...... Now there's where there ought to be a law!!!!
