About those evil people at big oil.......

First some boring numbers --

Take a minute and look at those numbers. Professor Mark Perry brings them to our attention to make a very important point.

You'll note that Apple paid half as much income taxes as did ExxonMobil on a higher profit number. This is just the first quarter, 2012.

This would be a good time to ponder the question; Why is our Big Gob'mint so down on ExxonMobile but we aren't hearing a word about big profit making companies like Apple?

And the answer that Mark Perry provides to keep us from hurting our heads with all this thinking is simply:

"The answer is that the left wants to control our energy. Energy, in a modern economy, is freedom given that just about everything we do is dependent on some form of fossil fuel energy. The left wants to control that energy, either to enrich their friends in the green industry or just to control society in general, and so they’ve run a hate campaign against fossil fuel companies for decades now."
