The point the E-mailer made was that David Muir, Pretender to the ABC Anchor throne and Dianne Sawyer sidekick.... while making these reports apparently doesn't practice what he preaches. The fact being that Euro ties run their tie stripes from the wearer's high left side to low right side, while Made in America ties are just the opposite. Stripes run from wearers high right side t lower left side...
Here is how Wikipedia puts it: Typically, American striped ties have the stripes running downward from the wearer's right (the opposite of the European style).[10]
Now yours truly, Ole' Pecoz doesn't often wear a tie - so I'll let you be the judge.... but as you read Stossel's very well written column immediately below this item. think about Mr Muir's ties and stripes...
Another limousine liberal 'Do as I say but not as I do,' moment? Comments anybody?

Stossel's article would make sense if it weren't for the fact that the "buy American" series highlights where buying American IS CHEAPER than buying foreign made.
The Made in America series even highlighted that trying to buy American clothing and encourage production of products that aren't currently made in America would not be a useful effort in creating jobs (in essence, making the point that Stossel makes).
