The answer (as you 'spected it would be) is - 'When the US Gob'mint says it is."
Apparently 28 migratory birds have died as a result of trying to land or swim in an oil runoff pit in a North Dakota oil field. The Feds, in the person of US Attorney Timothy Purdon, is pressing forward for prosecution of the officials with the oil companies. Penalties can amount to six months in prison and $15,000 fine for each avian death.
Meanwhile, the wind turbines scattered across the fruited plains of the USA have killed about 400,000 birds (including eagles, hawks, herons and songbirds), but no gob'mint action is being initiated.
Isn't it nice to know that in these here United States, 'Justice is blind' and everybody is equal under the law --- no matter what Obamanation's green policies are?
