Naw, Pilgrims, I ain't talking about being nice to the enemy --- I'm talking about a new Gob'mint policy to bring gay sensitivity training to Afghanistan. A platoon comes in off patrol, and those that don't need immediate medical care -- WILL sit down and listen to a lecture about loving their brother soldiers---- but only figuratively, not literally!!
In their usual cowardly way, some Perfumed Prince in the Pentagon decided it would be better to have this massive policy change announced by the enlisted Army Command SGT Major instead of a fellow Prince with stars on his shoulder. So much more down to earth.... doncha know!!
When was the last time you heard the Command Sgt Major in Kabul, Afghanistan, hold a teleconference Pentagon press briefing with reporters instead of a general or Army PR Flack? Hmmm?
Among his words when he announced that this sensitivity training will begin on the battlefield 'forthwith', was also said:
“While we own those soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines, we’re going to execute that training on the ground. We hope that it will have little impact on their combat and security operations here.”
As you read the linked article, if you wish, read between the lines and ask yourself why the news was released in this manner.
