Like many others, I have been watching the political antics up in Alaska, as EX Senator Murkowski (daughter of EX Senator Murkowski) fights to keep her seat in the US Senate!
Her own party turned her away in the primaries, she was then spurned by the Libertarians, and finally was forced to run as a 'Write in". Falling in the polls, she found a friendly judge that ruled that any voter who asked how to spell her name would be give a 'printed list of write in candidates". Is this voting booth electioneering..........or what?
So an Anchorage radio talk show host who felt that this was totally illegal -- encouraged folks to run, not walk, and sign up as a write in candidate. Murkowski responded the way all such political bullies do, she sicced her Washington ambulance chasers on the radio station and got Dan Fagan, the talk show host, summarily pulled off the air. Not fired mind you, just pulled off the air until after the 'free election'!
There is no good news in this story -- it's a sad reflection on American politics -- but I'd be lying if I didn't say that I am plumb tickled to announce that today when a voter in the election booth asks for a list of the write-in candidates, he/she will be hand an EIGHT PAGE DOCUMENT with more than 100 names will be handed to them for their cheat sheet!
Sometimes things do work out --- I only hope those great proud Alaskans turn their votes into the wooden stake necessary to end this walking dead candidate.
May she join all the other dead RINO's in the bone pile at the feet of Wussy the Moderate!!!
