Another, of the Greatest Generation, leaves us..

Bill Millin, the Scottish Piper, forever immortalized in the movie, 'The Longest Day', as he played his bagpipes on the beach at Sword Beach, on D Day... died this week at the age of 88.

Personal Piper to the Commandant, Special Forces Brigade, Millin marched up and down the beaches, armed only with a Ceremonial knife, under heavy fire playing his pipes as his mates fell all around.him, ..
