T Boone Pickens, Oil man, Neo-windmill man....

Ole T. Boone Pickens was on Glenn Beck's program yesterday - and he opined that the PROVEN natural gas resources of the United States is "Two Thousand Trillion Cubic Feet", or as he modestly put it, enough natural gas to provide the energy for this country for a hundred years.!!!

We get so many 'trillions' thrown at us since Obamanation was moved into the White House by his minders, that we tend to glaze over them... So I thought I'd rethink this number he threw out!

And I said to my self, Man, that is a passel of gas... is it possible..? Well, if my figgerin' is right, what this means is that we have gas pockets under this country that if piled on top of Rhode Island, would cover that lil' state's 1,547 square miles of area by a gas cloud reaching straight up -- 8.8 miles! Now put in perspective, that's one hell of a lot of gas. More even than comes out of the Congress each legislative session!

When pressed as to why we aren't exploiting it instead of importing oil from our terrorist friends in South America and the Middle East, he just smiled, and said "Oil is still just too cheap. But when the prices go up, be prepared to see a whole mess of semi trucks and energy plants switching over to natural gas!"

Just for fun, one day when you are bored, why don't you e-mail your congressman or congressette, and your Senators and ask a big 'How Come?" on this.....
