Sixty-five years ago today -- D-Day !!

A hundred pound back on your back, a hundred yards of waist deep water to wade through, a hundred yards of unprotected and mined beach to cross, and a hundred machine guns and rifles aimed at your head!!

It may look crowded out there, but I'll bet these members of the 'Greatest Generation' each felt very lonesome and exposed. Three thousand of them remain there to this day......

That's why we speak English today, not because of some politico in D.C. or because of your high school English teacher ------------

Now click on the picture, and you'll almost know what it felt like to be the next one to leap off into that cold water........... almost.....

Never forget.................
