Heard an interesting quote this morning......

....on Bill Bennett's 'Morning in America' radio show. His guest had just returned from a seven month tour of Afghanistan and said something like:

"With a lot of work, Afghanistan is only one generation away from moving ahead and becoming a Third World Country!"

Now there is a scary thought -- and we are gonna send in 30,000 troops and pacify the place? I don't think so. Hope somebody in the Pentagon has read the Russian Battle Summaries from twenty years ago. We better learn something from the past before we repeat it (as some wise man almost said) and end up in the same pot!!
