I don't need to repeat it here --- It never occurred to him to endorse Jimmy Carter, Walter Mondale, Michale Dukakis, Bubba Clinton, Al Gore, or John Kerry during all those very conservative years of the Republican Party ---- but now -- with John McCain. the most centrist Republican seeking the office of President in thirty years, now all of a sudden he has had an epiphany and 'must' support Obamanation........ !!! And to add insult to injury, adds as one of his reasons, McCain picked a mere woman Governor to be his Veep!
Racist, sexist, misogynist and several other mean spirited phrases that I won't share here come to mind --- and he finished his unsolicited soul bearing with that paragon of unbiased reporting , Tom Brokaw, with a serious frown and opining that he 'sure hopes voters don't take race into consideration when they go into the voting booth!"
Give me a break!!!!!!!!!! What a sorry final chapter to a storied career!
He could have at least had the cajones to sit there and say, "I never thought I'd get to see a black president in my lifetime - here is my one shot - and I'm gonna help him all I can!" But he didn't even have the courage to say that.
