The Sovereign State of Texas 'put down' an animal last night.....

.... much to the chagrin of the White House, the Attorney General, the World Court, the hand wringers of the world -- and most especially --- the government of Mexico.

Fifteen years ago, a group of young men in Houston, apparently bored with drinking and carousing, grabbed two teenagers and passed the time by gang raping them and then kicking and stomping them to death.

During the fifteen years that last night's Guest of Honor at Huntsville's Execution Cubicle sat on death row for his part in this heinous crime, he has been defended by all manner of smooth talking professional escape artists. Their argument being that he was not advised to seek counsel of the Mexican Consulate when arrested. There is no debate or doubt of his guilt!

Keep in mind, this wasn't some tourist who just stepped off the plane and didn't know that gang raping and murder was against the law in this country.... this was a man who came to this country when he was three years old, lived in this country for fifteen years, was educated here, and treats English as his first language and ghetto Tex-Mex as his second I reckon. I expect that somewhere during those fifteen years, he might have learned what is and what ain't a crime in Houston Texas.

Unfortunately, as usual those that get forgotten in these liberal, bleeding heart, headline bannered moments -- are the victims. Long buried and forgotten by all but their families and friends. Here is a picture of these two young ladies. Their fathers were able to attend the sanitary, peaceful, painless, putting down of their killer last evening in Huntsville!

"Elizabeth Pena, 16, and Jennifer Ertman, 14, both of Houston, were gang raped, beaten and strangled in June 1993. Their remains were found four days later. The brother of one of the gang members, disgusted to learn about his sibling's involvement in the attack, tipped police, leading to the arrests."

I will give the animal this much credit -- his last words to the family before being 'put to sleep' were: 'I'm sorry my actions caused you pain. I hope this brings you the closure that you seek."

The feller was even able to say it in English, without a translator from the Mexican Consulate. I will not lend any space in here for his face or his name. Like any cur dog - he should be quickly erased from our memories.
