If two Dimocrats; Queen Nancy Pelosi of the House and evil little Prince Dingy Harry Reid of the Senate would hold a joint press conference today and announce that in concert with President Bush, the United States was going to make an immediate, emergency type, all out effort to take advantage of all of our natural fossil fuel resources - - to include;- coal shale oil production (we have more shale oil reserves than the Arabs have liquid oil)
- oil drilling in Alaska and off shore
- further use of our 2000 year supply of coal for energy plants
- fast track approvals of nuclear plants and refineries with financing guarantees from the Feds
you can bet your best Stetson that oil prices would plummet around the world immediately!! Prices at the gas pump would be back in the $3.00 per gallon range by Labor Day and $2.50 by Christmas.
But they won't --- don't ya' kinda wonder why Pilgrims? Shouldn't folks be askin' 'em why not?
