Ain't it Amazin!!!

... what happens to the attitudes and votes when public opinion makes itself heard? Do you remember how Hellary and Obamanation and Kennedy and the rest of those nattering nabobs of the left wing of the Senate piled on General Petraeus when he testified before them last year? And the Moveon.BS ad calling him "General Betrayus"?

Seems like Hellary was casting doubt on the 'truthiness' of his testimony... the words "suspension of belief' come to mind.

Guess what happened in the Senate yesterday? Here's the story as told by AP:

Senate OKs promotion of Petraeus
Gen. Petraeus confirmed on 95-2 vote
The Associated Press

WASHINGTON - The Senate has confirmed Gen. David Petraeus as the top commander in the Middle East and Lt. Gen. Raymond Odierno to replace Petraeus as the chief military officer in Iraq.
The Senate voted 95-2 in favor of Petraeus and 96-1 for Odierno.
Last year, Petraeus helped to tame growing opposition to the Iraq
war in Congress by providing measured assessments of progress and warning that an exodus of U.S. troops would result in chaos. In the meantime, he advocated a buildup of some 30,000 troops in Baghdad and other hot spots, which eventually proved vital in tamping down violence.
Odierno, who implemented much of the strategy as Petraeus' deputy in Iraq, is slated to receive a fourth star and will report to Petraeus in his new job.

Sooooo... after twenty-five left limpin' Dem Libs refused to join the rest of the Senate and condemn the ugly 'Betrayus' ads just last September, all of 'em except 'Sheets' Byrd and 'Harpin' Harkin voted for his promotion to this higher post yesterday!! Obamanation was AWOL agin'!
