All I've heard the last few weeks is the whining and gnashing of teeth from the Republicans on how they are losing their base. They have just lost three special elections in 'safe' districts that have been Republican for years. Even "W" swept 'em in the last election.

Now they wonder out loud -- "Oh woe -- what shall we do?" I wonder if they ever consider going back to their conservative roots and put a big WHOA on this slippery slope trying to out-Democrat the Democrats.... Look at the last few elections back to big Ronnie!

Take another look at those bottom two maps again! Now then Students --- where do Republicans find success? In wussy 'compassionate conservatism', in "Can't we all just get along?" moderacy? Hell no - Republicans win when they stay true to their roots -- Red, White and Blue Conservatism. A strong military, a strong economy, and a federal government concerned with only the big picture -- not micro-managing school lunches and other local problems.

So what are they doing this year --- ? Nominating the biggest RINO (Republican in Name Only) in the party. Hell, just last night he gave another speech describing how he's gonna get everybody inside the beltway to sit inn a circle, drink kool-aid and sing Kumbaya for four years. Like the cowardly lion in Oz, no one wants to look behind the curtain and see that Islamic Terrorist Elephant sitting there! No one wants to strip off the band aids and seriously address the oil issues. I guess Conyers and Leahy will hold hearings and supena Osama and al-Sadr. That'll scare the bejusus out of 'em!

My prediction? Because the Dem's are stupid enough to run an ultra-liberal empty suit with big ears against him, McCain wins (one term!). At the same time -- the Dems in congress get a veto proof majority in both houses and this country slides further and further down the European style socialist slope.

Hopefully not beyond redemption for 2012 when Hellary gets her chance and the Republicans actually find a good solid conservative Republican to run!

Keep smilin' and for crying out loud, if you happen to have a conservative congressman or senator running for reelection this year -- get off that hoss and help 'em! We need every one we can get (or keep)!
