A word about Pearl Harbor and December 7th...

Citified news columnists will write acres of copy about today being the anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor. Although I'll add one more Howdy to remind folks of the date, I'll leave the fancy prose to the wordsmiths.
I will pose a question for you Boomers and Gen-Xer's though..... If your parents generation, living in the slow moving communications era that they did, could recognise Pearl Harbor as a significant, life changing event..... how come in this modern instant televised world y'all can't seem to get your arms around "9/11" and the attack on the Twin Towers?

If ever a wake-up call, and declaration of war was made on a nation, the Islamic-Fascists sure did one on us on "9/11"! Where is the anger, the determination, the willingness to sacrifice in this great country of ours?

It would be easy to blame the national leadership who encouraged business as usual and go shop at the malls.... ! Crap!!!

Don't blame them for our individual inaction! Starting with the first primary, each of us should demand a detailed answer regarding our borders, illegals, national defense initiatives, and homeland security from every candidate running for office.... and I'm talking Congressmen, Senators and Presidents! Take a long hard look at those candidates who want to serve in all of these positions - not just the president wannabees!

When you go to the primary polls, think about the little old ladies who have to take off their shoes in the airport, while because of fear of 'profiling' some pretty dangerous lookin' fellers are waved through...

Get mad! Get angry! Get involved! Get knowledge! Get pushy!
