Now here is an assortment of late bulletins.....

WEIRD BUT TRUE

December 10, 2007 -- A South Dakota woman had an unwanted companion while relaxing in a backyard hot tub - a mountain lion.
Marlene Todd was enjoying a morning soak outside her Deadwood home when she noticed "this big, tan, hairy body."
Said Todd. "I didn't realize what it was until it took a leap and jumped up on the side of my hot tub."
Fortunately, the cougar retreated.
Still, she said, "Now I know what a goldfish feels like when the cat is staring in its bowl."

First came SatNav for lost drivers. Now there's SatLav, a toilet-finding service to help people caught short in central London.
The Westminster City Council has launched a new cellphone text service that will guide people to the nearest public lavatory.
Anyone who sends the word "Toilet" to 80097 will receive a reply giving details of the nearest public convenience.
Now there an invention that is long overdue ('course I didn't realize it until I reached an age where my prostate doth protest too often!)

A Swiss man drove to Indonesia - and didn't use a drop of gas during the nearly 9,000-mile trip.
Louis Palmer, who began his trip in July, steered his solar car through more than 15 countries before arriving in Bali last week.
Solar panels on a trailer connected to Palmer's car feed electricity to a battery, which enables the car to travel 62 miles a day.
If he could only travel 62 miles per day, ya' gotta wonder if his hotel costs weren't just a tad more than gasoline woulda' been.....
