While Al Gorbot spends his mega-buck Nobel money heating that mansion this winter....

Many others will be reading Bjorn Lomborg's new book "Cool It: A Skeptical Environmentalist's Guide to Global Warming". This is his second book, the first caused serious debate and this one should cause even more. I won't bore y'all with the numbers and the studies, although I'll give you a link to a good review of the book in a minute.
Suffice it to say that the author puts the lie to many of Gorebot's claims. Polar bear numbers are rising world wide, not becoming extinct. From some 5000 in the '60's to over 25,000 today. That if we followed Kyoto's rules to the letter, we would save .06 bears per year while 49 bears are shot every year.

On a dollar and cents basis, a group of economists (including 4 Nobelists) conclude the following: One dollar spent fighting HIV?AIDS produced $40 in social benefits. One dollar spent fighting malnutrition yields $30 in social benefits. Other efforts like establishing world wide free trade would net a $15 benefit for a one dollar investment. Cutting CO2 emissions, by contrast, yields between 2 and 25 cents per dollar invested....

How interesting..... no wonder this feller hollering from the rooftops doesn't feel any need to give up those Lear Jets and Limousines.... he has access to all this information as well. He has been challenged to formal debates by experts all around the world with big bucks awaiting his cause.... don't hold your breath until he says "Yes" the first time!

So when you hear about kids coming home crying because we're killing all the pretty white polar bears or we are going to end up in a vast swamp... point your fingers and your blame at the true cause of most of the worlds hot air -- Albert (spoiled rich kid without a job) Gore, Hell, even his hometown Tennesseans didn't vote for him back in '80 'cause they knew him. If they had, Florida wouldn't have even mattered.

Now about that link I promised..... here's one, there's more to be found - go get 'em!
