Global Warming Swindle - a more inconvenient truth....

Ole' Pecoz recently received a snail mail copy of the lecture that Dr S Fred Singer presented at Hillsdale College on June 30th. It was titled "Global Warming: Man-Made or Natural?" But before I comment on his talk, let me share just one or two of his long list of bona fides. Dr Singer is professor emeritus of environmental sciences at the University of Virginia, a distinguished research professor at George Mason University and president of several scientific groups and projects. He was founding director of of the U.S. National Weather Satellite Service and served for five years as Vice Chairman of the U.S. National Advisory Committee on Oceans and Atmosphere.
What I am saying folks, is this isn't some charlatan that fell off a turnip truck, nor is he some Hollywoody who played a part on TV and now thinks he is an expert. Nor a losing presidential wannabe that now has found a new horse to ride and let him circle the globe on somebody else's money.

The talk is too long to quote here, but I hope I pique y'alls interest enough to do a little Googling of Dr Singer and the topic. At the end I'll post a couple of helpful links. In a word, he calls Gorebot's movie "Inconvenient Truth" an onslaught of propaganda that benefits tens of thousands of people with a financial interest in public panic over global warming. He specifically addresses the billions of dollars that Greenpeace, Sierra Club and others have raked in from governments and the people who believe this junk science. He calls the battle to bring the truth to the forefront a battle of "Science vs Hysteria".

After reminding us that the earth has been going through warming and cooling periods for millions of years. And that during the time that humans inhabited this globe, we have adjusted very well thank you. And then, with a verbal wink, he points out that if we are entering a warming period (which cannot be controlled or stopped by man) the results won't be all bad. Our northern continents will become the bread baskets of the world, and the rest of us won't have to move to Florida to get out of the snow and cold...

Here are a couple of links you might want to read... there are many more:

Now why don't you go out into the shade of that tree in your back yard and have a cool one!!
