Double Standards From France? Say it ain't so!

Back on August 21st, Ole Pecoz tole you folks about how about the French Gub'mint, with all their urbane wisdom and cultivated taste, advised the Governor that Texas should not execute a convicted murderer because it just wasn't civilized. The Governor politely thanked them for their advice and pointed out that Texans have been governing Texans since the Battle of San Jacinto , so butt out. Or words to that effect.
I read with interest yesterday that Iran hanged 21 folks in one day the other day. Four of them in a mass public hanging in front of crowds of men and boys. Not one of them were accused of, nor convicted of murder.

Now you got to wonder, if the French got their knickers in a twist over the possible execution (by painless lethal injection) in a hospital like atmosphere of a convicted murderer after 12 years of appeals..... how apoplectic were they over these mass hangings in Iran? I say 'you have to wonder' 'cause I ain't read one damn word of condemnation from the entire European community, much less France.
