Congress returns, the feeding begins anew...

Well, the summer play period is over, our hard working Representatives and Senators, having suckled up all the political money they can, return to Washington to work for this great country of ours.

Will they be affected by the lowest approval rating ever in the history of this great land... I think not. Not as long as their incumbent re-election rate is 97%!

Will they work with the Bush Administration to solve our international problems and our Homeland Security difficulties with the Islamic Jihadist terrorists? I think not. Not as long as they are more concerned with next years general elections than the welfare of this country of ours.

Will they pull their snouts out of the trough filled with our hard earned tax dollars? I think not. Not while those of us in their home districts show more concern with earmark monies brought home, than the national condition.

Do I blame these curly tailed porker dudes.... no Sir and Ma'am's, I blame you and me for returning them term after term after term! As a matter of record, here is their work schedules over the past few years.

That 1995 hard working year was under that terrible task master Newt Gingrich, who held their snouts to the fire to accomplish the "Contract with America". No wonder they ran him out of town! The all time low in 2007 is under Nancy's "new Speaker in town" regime where less has been accomplished than any congress since Truman's "Do Nothing" crew met. .

Look at the bright side.... they could work full time - instead of twenty-four weeks a year!
