Artist Mows Purple Heart into New York Field
A Purple Heart medal is shown mowed into a lawn in Thomas Bull M
emorial Park on Sunday in Hamptonburgh, N.Y. The replica medal, created by Roger Baker, occupies an area of 850,000 square feet and measures more than 1,000 feet long. (Daniel Morel/AP Photo)
This Sunday is the Seventy-Fifth Anniversary of the creation and award of this medal to American Servicemen and women wounded in battle. What a grand use of a great skill in design, layout and execution.
(This is an ABC News Story.)
