I don't know which of the two posted pictures most fits your childhood recollection of Mayday -- little girls dancing around a Maypole or communists around the world celebrating the communist revolution in Russia early in the 20th Century ---
But of two things I am certain.... we will probably not see a return of the maidens skipping around the May Pole, but sure as God made little green apples, we are going to see Mad Vlad Putin revisit the May Day parades in beautiful downtown Moscow - across Kremlin Square.... and encourage it's celebration by workers around the world......Might have a problem growing the brand here in the States though, with Obamanation's ministrations, there just ain't that many folks that can call themselves workers any more. Maybe BHO will institute some kind of, Cash The Gob'mints Checks Day.... or something?
