Least surprising news during this week of surprises.....

All of you that would be surprised if I told you that colleges and universities were hiring die-hard liberals as commencement speakers this year ..... raise your hand.....

What this? I don't see a single hand going up!

As a matter of fact, the Young Americans Foundation conducted it's annual study and found that only two of the top twenty-five colleges invited recognized conservatives and the other twenty-three of course, invited nationally known liberal credentialed speakers. Speakers like Oprah Winfrey, Toni Morrison, Mayor Cory Booker, Congressman John Lewis and Nancy Pelosi.

I guess that makes sense.... if these colleges and universities are going to take $100,000 to $200,000 from these grads for their liberal education... the last thing they would want would be for some bright, intelligent, successful conservative speaker to kick-start them on their way to the real world. 

More than 50% of this years grads won't find any job, whilst some will find Le Golden Arches and Wally-World as their new source of paying back those student loans. 

By the way, Partners, Obamanation has given one commencement address (Ohio) wherein he warned the grads not to believe the whispers about intrusive big gob'mint.  This of course, was just a week before the IRS scandal broke, and the DOJ admitted to seizing the home and bid'ness phone records of a hundred AP reporters.....   

Fortunately, that great quote from Winston Churchill will still hold up:

"If you are young and not liberal, then you have no heart  - but if you are old and not conservative, then you have no brain!"

Just in case you thought these numbers were selected selectively, YAF's total numbers show that of the top 100 colleges and universities - their identified liberal commencement  speakers outnumbered the conservatives by 83 - 17........
