Slavery or State's Rights?

Which of those provided the catalyst for the Civil War. I've heard both sides argued my entire life and probably will forever!

But as I watch Obamanation and his Congressional enablers turn the Constitution on it's head, sue Arizona for trying to protect it's own borders (when the Feds won't), fail to provide help to the gulf states during this horrendous oil spill.............and worse - prevent them from helping themselves... ignore rampant unemployment to shore up his union cronies, I begin to understand how the States of the Confederacy finally lost their patience and seceded from the Union.
