Is the Gray Lady 'Jumping the Shark'?

When TV programs start to lag in the rating, they sometimes go overboard, 'Jumping the Shark' to resurrect themselves. As Happy Days did years ago, when this term was first coined.

We all know that the New York Times has been losing subscribers and advertising for several years now..... not just because of the new media avenues, or the paper's occasional journalistic integrity questions..... or even their serious skew to the left...

But all that aside, when I look at this picture they ran yesterday alongside an article about Obamanation's focus on ObamaCare.... I've just got to wonder if they too, are 'Jumping the Shark'?
