GOLF CHANNEL Suspends Anchor for Remark

The GOLF CHANNEL regrets the poorly chosen remarks made by Kelly Tilghman on a recent broadcast and, again, extends our apologies to anyone who was offended. There is simply no place on our network for offensive language like this. While we believe that Kelly's choice of words were inadvertent and that she did not intend them in an offensive manner, the words were hurtful and grossly inappropriate. Consequently, we have decided to suspend Kelly for two weeks, effective immediately.
Having read that, you'd think Ms Tilghman had told a dirty joke, made a skivvy comment, used one of the seven "no no" words, or at least made some terribly racist remark. In fact, what she is guilty of is giving Al (Twana Brawley's mentor) Sharpton a chance to leap in front of a mike again. That's her only offense ... Hmmm, maybe that should be punishable.
Last week during the wind up of the golf tournement, she and her British booth partner Nick Faldo, after he commented that the pro-golfers ought to pile on Tiger Woods (because he is playing so well) and she replied words to the effect; "A gang of them ought to take him out in an alley and lynch him" or something like that.
She quickly realized that some might take offense and apologised to Tiger who immediately accept it because they are old friends, to the network and the public. End of story? Oh no.... like all bottom feeders, Sharpton smelled the blood and started frothin' at the mouth. Demanded she be fired!
So, like most white CEO's nowadays, the Golf Channel muckety mucks, either reached over and grabbed their ankles or rolled back on their heels depending on their sex, and suspended her for two weeks and issued that vacuous statement above.
I don't know about you Pilgrims, but her comments make me think she was so totally free of mean spirited racism. she never thought of her comments being interpreted the wrong way!
When does this bendin' over for these rabble rousin', race baiting loud mouths end?
