Flesh-eating ' bacteria strain is spreading
A new, highly drug-resistant strain of the 'flesh-eating' MRSA (Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus) bacteria is being spread among gay men in San Francisco and Boston it was reported Monday.

The study, published online by the journal, Annals of Internal Medicine, said the bacteria seems to be spread most easily throught anal intercourse but also through casual skin-to-skin contact and touching contaminated surfaces.
The authors warned that unless researchers are able to identify the strain and doctors prescribe the proper antibiotic therapy, the infection soon could spread among other groups.
Now going back to my original question; I didn't refer to gay sexual activity and am darn sure not moralizing -- just askin' the question -- which would be appear more important; casual sex or having your body parts eaten by a treatment resistant bacteria?
Thirty years ago, when the Aids crisis began.... folks were warned.....!!!!!!! Billions of dollars and tens of thousands of deaths later...... we still haven't learned any lessons?
