I really shouldn't begrudge Michelle Antoinette and the girls this zillion dollar taxpayer paid vacation to the Bahama's.....    It's been literally weeks since they were on vacation in Hawaii - they must need a break from that tough White House catered life. 

BTW, seems like George 'W' took his breaks clearing brush on his ranch in lil' ole Crawford Texas ---  Can't remember the last time Obamanation took his family and headed back to visit that mini-mansion in Chicago that his convicted felon buddy helped him buy....   Can You?

Maybe it's a Chicagoland gun thing and Rahmbo warns him away?

A new bright light is shining on gob'mint regulations and even moreso -- on gob'mint bully regulators and their impact....

Senator Ron Johnson, (R) of Wisconsin has created a new Blog in which he will tell the stories (and videos) of good American folks who have been bullied, beaten,  otherwise harassed by unelected bureaucrat bullies. 

I am surprised that somebody or some group hasn't already done this, but am delighted to see Senator Johnson initiate this one.  I understand he has already gained support from at least one senior Dim Senator in his efforts... I hope it grows....

Help me understand this 'sequester' pain thing.....

As I understand it, even under sequester, the Egyptians get million$, the Palestinians get million$, VEEP Biden spends a million dollar$ for a weekend in Paris, Michelle Antoinette, her kids, posse, and Secret Service agents go to the Bahamas for a spring vay-cay.....   

But we can't let American school kids who have worked and saved all year, tour the White House, or keep our airport control towers open --- and we have to release all of the criminal illegals into the country side 'cause we can't afford to feed 'em. 

What's wrong with this picture?

Well Golly Gee Whiz!!

It looks like I am back on line again.....  Whoop dee doo! (As Archie Bunker would say.)

All it took was a talk with a computerized lady...... and then a chat with 'Chris', a nice young lady in the Philippines, and a visit from some big dude from Time-Warner who strung a new cable from my house to the neighborhood master box....  piece of cake!

I am so tickled that I am not even going to mention that:

In spite of being so short of funds due to the sequester that they had to cancel White House tours..... while Obamanation was over making things worse in the Middle East, Michelle Antoinette and the two kids jetted off to the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas for Spring Break..... with their usual posse, Secret Service agents and servants.  Wonder how much that will cost the tax payers - and how many American kids could have had a White House tour on their planned Spring trip to Washington? 

Nope, ain't gonna mention that -- nor will I mention:

The hilarity in the New York State legislature passing Cuomo's bill banning all gun magazines that hold more than seven cartridges --- and then finding out there is no seven cartridge mags around...   Whoops, guess they didn't read it before they voted on it. 

And I thought Pelosi was from California....  

Nope, I'm too happy to discuss any of this stuff today!! 

The last thing I ain't gonna mention today is the other shoe that fell in the electric car and solar panel battery industry recently...   It appears that the EPA has unilaterally tightened the regulations on recycling batteries in this country to the point where all of the state of the art companies have closed shop and moved to Mexico where they are a tad more friendly to bid'ness.     

I even read that in 2011, the equivalent of 18,000 tractor truckloads of batteries were shipped to Mexican factories to be recycled, recovered and rebuilt....  Ain't that a kick?

But I ain't gonna mention that or all the brouhaha's in the recent reports about Bite Me Bidens Half Million Dollar visits to Paris Hotels, neither....

Automatic federal cuts are bringing staffers to the brink of starvation, suggested Debbie Wasserman Schultz, at a recent House Legislative Branch Appropriations Subcommittee hearing.

Restaurants on the House side of Congress are increasing in cost so much that aides are being “priced out” of a good meal, she said, as Fox News reported. The comments came by way of a discussion about the impacts of the sequester on lawmakers’ office budgets. Rep. Jim Moran said he may be forced to lay off a staffer — and then Ms. Wasserman Schultz weighed in with her tale of hard times.

Just to clarify: An 8-ounce bowl of Ham and Bean soup at the Cannon Office Building’s carry-out café costs $2. A gourmet wrap or sliced bread sandwich sells for about $5. And in the Longworth Building’s sit-down cafeteria, a serving of stuffed chicken, asparagus and mashed potatoes sells for about $7, Fox News finds.

Marine's motto of the month: It never rains but it pours....

As I opened the Drudge Report this morning and saw the headline reporting on the double murder plus suicide in the Marine's officer training school at Quantico, Virginia...  the first thought that came to my mind was that old expression that has become logo: "It never rains but it pours!"

The echos of the mortar that blew up and killed seven Marines at Hawthorne Army Depot in Nevada have barely faded.... and now this. The Snidely Reid of the Senate has just finished walking on the bodies of those young Marines with his sequester B.S. --   I wonder how he will try to turn this unhappy incident into a political personification of smarmy.

Was it another result of Sequester? Were the officer candidates overworked and underpaid? Were they too closely quartered in their co-ed barracks because of budget shortfalls?  

By the way Partners, did you ever notice that Dingy Harry always makes his ringing, dinging speeches from the well of the Senate -- not out on the front steps or in a news interview? Remember his; "I know Romney hasn't paid his taxes in ten years but I can't tell you how I know." statement ---- from the well of the Senate?

Our Constitution says he can't be sued for any, ANY, statement he makes on the Senate Floor.  But across the street -- that's another story.  Cowardice in politics, that's our Dingy Harry.

For the Marines, I only hope that they are not hit hit shortly with that other old saw: 'Bad things come in threes.'

I'm not big on Social Conservative issues...... but....

I don't reckon I'm against 'day after' abortion pills, and God knows, I'm not against birth control pills and condoms (aren't they the same thing?) if the promiscuous folks that use them buy their own.....     BUT--

When a fetus becomes viable, becomes able to suffer pain, becomes a young human being and NOT just a piece of tissue.... then I have a problem.

A murder trial started Monday in Philadelphia in which an abortionist and his unlicensed assistant is accused of multiple murders:

"ABC, CBS, and NBC's morning and evening newscasts have yet to cover the trial of Dr. Kermit Gosnell, which began on Monday. Gosnell is charged with murdering seven babies who were born after viability in his rundown abortion facility. The Big Three also gave the story minimal coverage back in January 2011, after the Philadelphia physician was arrested. ABC completely ignored it, CBS Evening News aired one full story, and NBC gave just 50 words on Today.
Even the New York Times covered the trial in a Tuesday article, though it appeared on page A-17. Writer Jon Hurdle documented how Gosnell is charged with killing the babies by "plunging scissors into their necks and 'snipping' their spinal cords."

Partners, I ask you, if this story was about some crazed skin head, right wing, gun clinging, bible thumping member of the Tea Party -- killing seven young defenseless children -- just how much ink and air time do you think ABC, NBC, and ABC would give it. Do you think the NY Times would run it on page A-17?   

Neither do I!! As my grandson would say: WTH? or maybe even WTF?

Last week when Obamanation treated twelve GOP Senators (well, six Republicans and six Rinos) to dinner on the taxpayers dime....  He went first class with lobster, champagne and blue berry pie..  

Alas, poor BO couldn't eat a thing however, and not because he was afraid of getting a blueberry skin stuck in his pearly whites....  Nope! It seems that for the first time since our leader was King George, our POTUS has a staff of food tasters...  to protect Him from all manner of mysterious poisons, I reckon...  Anyway, his taster didn't show up, so - no food for the BO man....  

"Oh, the pain of being paranoid, proud, and peculiar in the head?"

Finally, a TSA report that gives me hope.....

Interesting report today in the Chicago news...  

Apparently last evening in the 5 PM rush hour, TSA squads swarmed a train in search of a possible nuclear danger. Even with the hoards of folks boarding, their sensors picked up on some bad vibes.  

They narrowed it down to one car, and then one seat --- and then.....

Best one line quote of this week's CPAC convention......

There were many great lines from many great speakers at this weeks CPAC meeting just outside Washington DC.

But I think the best one I heard was Sarah Palin's comment regarding the growth of crony capitalism in the federal government. 

"If you are in business in this country and you don't have a paid lobbyist walking the halls of Congress with a pocket full of campaign contribution checks, then you not only don't get a seat at the table --- you will be on the menu!!"  **

Overall, I thought it was a great meeting and a great set of speechifying.... I just hope all that enthusiasm doesn't wane on the trip home...  Lot's of young folks there, maybe there is hope for this country yet!!!!!!!!

Ex-Detroit Councilwoman and convicted felon Monica Conyers is spending her work days filling out paperwork and answering phones.
A manager at Metro Tech Collision in Detroit told WWJ Newsradio 950 Conyers is a very hard worker and has been humble in her new role. She was hired two months ago when she left a halfway house.
Conyers entered prison in 2010 after pleading guilty in 2009 to taking bribes while on the Detroit council. She was released in late December after serving 27 months at Alderson Federal Prison Camp, often referred to as “Camp Cupcake.”
Conyers remains under house arrest and her boss said she’s not allowed to talk to the media. 

What's my point? Here are a few facts missing from this report.

Monica Conyers was a Democrat president of the Detroit city council.

Monica Conyers is the wife of Rep John Conyers, (D), ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee, and a man involved in investigations as well.

Monica Conyers was the Council's staunchest and firmest defender  of now convicted former Detroit  Democrat Mayor Kilpatrick.

And I could go on.  I ask you, Partners, do you reckon if there was an 'R' after her name, and she was married to the Republican Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee --- that these facts would go UNMENTIONED in this report.

When I was a lad.... there was an expression.......

Obamanation's habit of always blaming his failures and lack of success on others, George Bush, Japanese Tsunamis, European perfidy,  the Congress..... was totally brought to the fore in a recent interview with George Snuffleupalous.

Regarding closing the White House tours to all the children across the country who had been saving and planning for literally years ... he said:

“You know, I have to say this was not — a decision that went up to the White House,” he claimed in an interview broadcast Wednesday by ABC News. "What the Secret Service explained to us was that they’re gonna have to furlough some folks,”

His claim clashes with a March 7 statement by his press secretary, Jay Carney, who declared that “the White House made the decision that we would, unfortunately, have to temporarily suspend these tours.”

How lame is that?  The POTUS, throwing a tantrum and trying to inflict the maximum public pain because the annual increase was decreased by 2.5% --- as a result of his own sequester plan..... is now trying to blame the Secret Service for his actions...  They, of course, can't fight back!

End White House Tours, delay aircraft at airports.......hmm what else?

The "Washingtonn Monument' Syndrome....

I know y'all are aware of the 'Washington Monument' syndrome..  That's the name of the game being played in Washington right now over sequestration.  Our esteemed CEO, Obamanation, has opted to make American citizens live that syndrome.

I reckon I ought to mention that the Washington Monument syndrome is the ploy by Presidents, Gob'nors, and Mayors to wield the ax of most public hurt when faced with budget cuts they fought against.   At the federal level, closing the Washington Monument to tourists is usually first, but in this instance our dear leader has decided to close down the White House tours to all the kids across that land that saved and planned for a year to come to see The People's House.  

At the state level, gob'nors tend to close State Parks or  limit DMV office hours.  And as you are all well aware, at the local level, mayors tend to bluster and threaten to close libraries, fire stations and reduce cops on the beat when their budgets are cut. 

So here we are, with a Sequester proposed by Obamanation himself, which reduces the GROWTH (not the budget) by 2%!  Further, it appears he has issued orders to every Cabinet Member and Department Chief, not to find ways to live with the lesser increase... but to inflict pain on the public. 

Byron York, national columnist, spells it out much better than I.  Please take a few minutes to read his column.... when you hear the talking heads of the MSM or your neighbors, you can 'splain that old 'put it where the sun don't shine' with a much greater degree of alacrity!

When our newest party hack, Secretary of Defense, Chuckles Hagle, (replacement for that other party hack Leon Panetta) arrived in Kabul to meet with Afghan party hack (and crook) President Hamid Karzai in Kabul --- the Taliban decided to make a point and killed 19 of their fellow Afghans with suicide bombs.....

How did the leader of the Afghan gob'mint treat it? In a national TV speech Sunday,  he said:

KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) -- Afghan President Hamid Karzai on Sunday accused the Taliban and the U.S. of working in concert to convince Afghans that violence will worsen if most foreign troops leave - an allegation the top American commander in Afghanistan rejected as "categorically false."

Karzai said two suicide bombings that killed 19 people on Saturday - one outside the Afghan Defense Ministry and the other near a police checkpoint in eastern Khost province - show the insurgent group is conducting attacks to demonstrate that international forces will still be needed to keep the peace after their current combat mission ends in 2014.

"The explosions in Kabul and Khost yesterday showed that they are at the service of America and at the service of this phrase: 2014. They are trying to frighten us into thinking that if the foreigners are not in Afghanistan, we would be facing these sorts of incidents," he said during a nationally televised speech about the state of Afghan women."

What manner of man is this?  More important........

Why isn't the USA, who have lost over two thousand ( 2179) of America's finest young folks as KIA casualties and thousands more maimed, lamed and wounded, ..... flipping him off and getting the hell outta there.  Packing up every APC, weapon, Quonset hut, tent, and porta potty -- and heading home or elsewhere else?

Let them go back to throwing rocks at each other ----  let them live like they deserve!

A conservative awakening in the GOP?

As the Republican party slowly drifted rudderlessly along. losing votes, losing seats in the House & Senate --letting the Dems and Obamanation wash them along,  somebody needed to put gas in the engine and a spark in the cylinder chamber......

With RINO-in-Chief, Johnny Mac and his feckless Sancho Panza (aka.. Lindy Grahamnesty) speaking on behalf of the Party on every Sunday talk show and any time they could beat Chuck-you Schumer or Turban Durbin to a microphone --- the public sighed and remembered better days..

THIS WEEK, however, Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) stood up on his hind legs on the floor of the US Senate and filibustered for 13 hours in a simple effort to get Obamation to firmly state his position on drone attacks on unarmed American citizens in the USA.

Hardly, a complicated question - and one which should have been obvious to a fourth grader reading the 5th Amendment to the Constitution of the USA with regards to the right of all citizens to 'due process'.  

THIS SAME WEEK, with a tenacity not normally witnessed in the gentleman's club we know as the US Senate... Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) spent a half hour grilling the man with the lawyer's lips and the dancing toes, attorney general Eric Holder, before he finally got him to say the words out loud --- 'No, it would not be legal for the POTUS to order a drone attack on an unarmed American on American soil."

Sooo, what do the Good Old Boys do? Do they heap praise upon these two freshmen senators for shining the spotlight on the administration's lack of frankness?  Hell no!

Johnnie Mac, exhibiting his usual lack of literal or intellectual acumen -- called them both, "Wacko birds".   Grahamnesty chimed in with his usual ditto remarks....  

Now keep, in mind, both of these silver haired denizens of the Senate cloak room were still wiping their chins from dining on the expensive, tax payer paid for dinner that Obamanation set before them in a DC hotel the evening before.   A repast, I might add, that they shared with ten other old GOP bulls at the very time that Rand Paul was facing the late hours of his filibuster. 

Ole' Pecoz ain't got a word for those two that I can print in here --  but hopefully, this weeks act will wake up the rest of the sleeping conservatives in the GOP and cause them to grab their pitchforks and scythes --- and rebuild the party before it goes the way of the Bull Moose Party, Whigs, and the rest..  

I reckon our first indication will be at the upcoming CPAC convention in DC next week!

I just can't make up my mind......

Did Fox News and Chris Wallace do us a serious disservice this last Sunday with their great interview with Mitt Romney and his lovely wife Ann, by reminding us what might have been? 

Two fine, accomplished Americans, parents, and grandparents whose love for each other and this country exudes from every smile and nuance, gave us a glimpse of their real selves. Full of humor and good cheer, self-deprecating, modest in spite of their great personal and business success.....  Oh My!

And then the program ends and we are returned to real life.... a Potus and Flotus who  are self centered, mean spirited, and uncaring except for those programs and changes that might enhance their power. Politics first, America second!

One is constantly campaigning and golfing instead of governing, the other is constantly vacationing and posing.  

Oh my ---- maybe Fox didn't do a disservice -- maybe they unconsciously reminded us of the error of our ways.....   As a politician so accurately said: "Elections have consequences!"

I wonder --- can we survive this error and come out intact?

We've had great presidents, mediocre presidents, and sorry presidents over the last 200+ years.....  but I do believe that this is the first president we ever had that actually wished harm on our Nation and it's citizens.....

I received the following story from two different folks over the week-end. So I'll call it a Monday morning smiler......

Ted Nugent, rock star and avid bow hunter from Michigan, was being interviewed by a liberal journalist, an animal rights activist. The discussion came around to deer hunting. The journalist asked, 'What do you think is the last thought in the head of a deer before you shoot him? Is it, 'Are you my friend?' or is it 'Are you the one who killed my brother?
Nugent replied, 'Deer aren't capable of that kind of thinking. All they care about is, what am I going to eat next, who am I going to screw next, and can I run fast enough to get away. They are very much like the Democrats in Congress.'

I got to thinking about it, and decided that the quote was just too good to be true -- and spent some time sourcing it before I shared it with y'all.  Apparently way back in 2006, when Nugent was in his anti-French mood because they wouldn't assist in Iraq,  he did make that statement ... sorta:

I read with growing disappointment this morning that yet another California based bid'ness is pulling up roots and moving to Texas.  Now. Y'all might think that is good news --- but I fear that every time some ingrained Blue stater and his employees moved to Texas, they will be bringing their progressive, nanny state, ways with 'em.

The Good News is that this company that's moving, Shield Tactical,  a California retailer and firearms training provider --- is owned an operated by a former Texan.

The owner, John Harrington said it was finally "time to go home."

Maybe we could call this exodus "From Taxes to Texas!!"  Catchy enough?

So tell me, with probably 50,000,000 eligible, patriotic Americans - with these job benefits, why do we hire the loser lawyers, the charlatans, crooks and whores that we do every two years?   

No, they're not all bad, but it appears that they are soooo bad that the good men and women give up after a term or so and come home in disgust!

For two hundred years they have been abrogating their duties and responsibilities as outlined in the Constitution to the POTUS...... so they can whittle down their work week to three days.   

During this same period, the POTUS's have been abrogating and delegating their responsibilities to the multi-billion dollar bureaucrat fat agencies, so the POTUS can spend the four years campaigning or golfing or glad handing. 

The civil service bureaucrats just lap it up -- and regulate and regulate and regulate! Way back in DD Eisenhower's day, he was quoted as saying, "At least in the Army- when I wanted a toilet fixed, I just ordered it done. Now I couldn't get a toilet fixed if the GSA boss was my friend."  Or words to that effect.

Why have we let this happened ---- Will we ever tighten the reins?

California fights to gain back their #1 position,......... in taxes that is!

I note with interest this morning that California has discovered that because their citizens are fleeing the state, those that remain are driving less because they are tax poor and the rest are buying more frugal gas using cars....... that the state is receiving less gas tax money! Duh...

Thus, they have decided to resolve the problem.  How?  Silly you to ask. They are going to RAISE taxes on gasoline. by ten percent. What other recourse could they have? Thinking? Planning? Cutting back on gob'mint? (bite yer tongue)

Besides, they discovered that they were #2 to New York in their gas tax amounts and #2 to Hawaii in their average overall price of gasoline...   This will solve that problem. Now they will be #1 once more.   What brilliance.

The average driver (15,000 miles per year) will see an increase in their annual gas taxes of $26.25 on top of the $478 dollars per year they are already paying.....  

No need to mention that the vote was three Dems - YES, two Republicans - NO.

(Just twixt you and me, I hope all those U-Hauls streaming East out of California either stop before they get to Texas or head straight on thru to Florida and one of them other nice east coast states.. I ain't being inhospitable you know, it's just them Blue State ex-pats have a way of demanding their new states go down the same rat hole with hand outs.)

Well, here we are... March First:  The first day of the end of the world as we know it. Our gob'mint has actually decreased the amount of annual increase in gob'mint spending for the first time since President Dwight David Eisenhower played golf in Washington!

That's right, Clinton and a couple others worked at it but the last time the US Budget showed a surplus instead of a deficit was -------1956 & 1957 !!  Look it up! I'll help you out here.

Of course, we're not talking about having a surplus here, we are merely talking about reducing the blood flow by two cents on the dollar... We'll still go a Trillion dollars in debt this year!

So this morning, now that the Titanic has already hit the iceberg, the Chairman of the Board of the ship line (Obamanation) and several senior executives (Boehner, Pelosi, Mitchell, and Reid) are going to munch White House gourmet snacks and decide how to make sure the Titanic has no accidents......

Good grief... 300,000,000 folks in this country - and we pick these five wizards to run our ship line!

Even Maxine (the Moron) Waters of California, (Rep-D) understands the problem. According to her, 170 million Americans are going to lose their jobs today. I reckon that would be the 134 million that have jobs, plus 36 million more who don't???

I think a great start would be for 537 folks in Washington to lose their jobs. Congress, plus the POTUS plus Bite-Me the VEEP!
