Timmie the Tax Dodger Briefs Congress....

Yesterday, Timmy Geithner, Obamanation's chief tax cheat - was sent to Congress to present BO's opening offer to prevent the the fiscal cliff trigger mechanism. It included, no spending cuts, tax increases, a new huge stimulus bill and............and....... granting authority to the POTUS to unilaterally raise the nation debt ceiling with out consulting congress.

Here is what one little Congressman did with Timmy's Talking papers!

Some random thoughts for 'Hump' day.....

Wimpy Obama?
- I see that Obamanation proposes to solve the national deficit (debt) crisis by raising taxes on the rich today and perhaps talking about cutting gob'mint spending next year.

Am I the only guy in the room that remembers when Wimpy used to plead with Popeye, "I will gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today!"

But alas, Tuesday never comes....

- I am reminded of that old expression, "Take care of the small stuff and the big stuff will take care of itself!" I reckon that applies to our Federal Gobmint as well.

A report was just released which points out that Washington DC high schools have the worst drop out rate in the NATION!  A little less than six out of ten high school freshmen complete high school in this District that is owned and operated by the Federal Gob'mint.

But not in D.C.!
I ain't gonna mention that the homes state of that illustrious Senate Majority Leader, Dingy Harry Reid, Nevada - is the second worst in the Nation. Click here for the report.  I have to admit, I am plumb proud that a my home state of Texas - with all of it's immigration problems - legal and illegal - and language problems - is rated in the Top Ten!

Back to my point - if the Federal Gob'mint can't even manage it's own little district with success, how can we possibly think they are able to manage this entire country with any degree of success..   Print money and spend it --- that's it. That's all! Keep them sheeple pushing that 'Dem' button at the voting booths ...   don't look behind the curtain.

There's a new product being hustled.......

If you'll swallow this - you'll swallow anything...!

There is an old Scottish saying.......

"From ghoulies and ghosties And long-leggedy beasties And things that go bump in the night, Good Lord, deliver us!"

It has been  just a few days since the presidential election and this old expression is already coming to mind! I reckon it was originally intended for Halloween season - but early November events seem to bring them out as well.

I read two days ago that Jeb Bush is 'thinking' about 2016 !!  Save us please. I have no doubt that Jeb is one of the brighter bulbs on the Bush's porch, but at 60+ years, ten years out of office, and that Bush name hanging over his head .... please - No Mas!!

Besides, Jeb, you've got George coming up --   leave headline room for him.

Then this morning I read that the sanctimonious spoiler, Santorum is 'thinking' about 2016!

Just what the GOP needs, a repeat performance from a failed senator, 'social conservative' who is more worried about what Dick & Jane & John do in their bedroom than he is in the State of the Union.

I'll keep this short - lest it be a long four years -- but somebody needs to rattle the GOP cage and stuff some smelling salts under their collective noses....   yee gads!

'Tis the season to be jolly.......

Ain't gonna be any HO HO HO's from these ex-employees this Christmas ..  and no Hostess HoHo's on the shelf......

(Thanks and a Tip O' the Stetson to my pal Al, up in the Peoples Republic of Maryland)

A few words about Warren Buffett....

First of all, I would be less than honest if I didn't say up front that I have always had the greatest respect for Mr. Warren Buffett.... investor billionaire extraordinaire.  He has always done well, managed his companies well, lived modestly (for a billionaire), been philanthropic and wise with his money - and probably goes to church on Sunday.

But the last couple of years, his holier than thou attitude pleading for Obamanation to raise his taxes is wearing a little thin. I find myself often reminded of Brer Rabbit pleading, 'Please don't throw me in that brier patch!"

C'mon - let's face it - if Warren Buffett was truly conscience stricken by his wealth and tax avoidance -- all he needs to do is tell on of his many degreed accountants, "When you have figured my final tax bill on this years Form 1040, double the number due and remit that amount."  Period, end of discussion.

But nope, he has to bear his breast, go public, pontificate, verbocitate and finally, just sends in that amount that those expensive accountants can't protect!  Give me a break.

What brings this to mind today is a new, oiler, improved version of the Buffett Hair Shirt Syndrome Op-Ed in Sunday's NY Times. Here are his first two paragraphs:

"SUPPOSE that an investor you admire and trust comes to you with an investment idea. “This is a good one,” he says enthusiastically. “I’m in it, and I think you should be, too.”

Would your reply possibly be this? “Well, it all depends on what my tax rate will be on the gain you’re saying we’re going to make. If the taxes are too high, I would rather leave the money in my savings account, earning a quarter of 1 percent.” Only in Grover Norquist’s imagination does such a response exist."

Down here in Texas we have words to describe such absolute drivel. Some of these descriptions include male bovines and others end up with 'ca-ca'.....

The man would have us believe that he has NEVER considered the tax ramifications of his his bid'ness ventures...     HAH!

A little research would bring out a multitude of contradictions, but he has done it in his own books, as pointed out succinctly and well by Adam J White, in yesterday's Weekly Standard Blog.   I'm not gonna try to impress you by quoting Adam White - I'm just going to refer you to his great (and short) article.  It's a good read.

And the next time one of these self serving billionaires publicly pull their hair and cry because they don't pay more taxes -- think of this article.

Scary times at San Antonio High School....

Orwell was a piker! In San Antonio Texas, the times are scary at Ridgemont John Jay High School.  A young lady and her father protested the school districts new command that all students would wear an ID badge with a radio frequency Tracking Chip implanted in it.  With the chip, the students can be tracked every school hour.

After registering their complaints that several freedoms were involved, including religious freedom.... the school district relented and condescended to allow her to remove the radio frequency chip, but must wear the badge to blend in with the crowd or ..... or prevent the other 4200 sheeple from arising?

Many are seeing these actions as just the start of a long term design to track every citizen from adolescence to the grave....  I can't speak to that - but I can agree this is scary.

The young lady refused the offer to wear the neutered tag, and has now been notified that she is being summarily 'kicked out of the school' and must attend a much further school in the same district.  Which, by the way, intends to expand the program to all 112 district schools from K through 12 !!!   Where will she attend then?

And all of her friends, with whom she has attended school all these years....  they are left behind....

What a great country we are becoming. And don't even start me on this trend of arresting sheeple for filming police officers making stops or arrests. Despite the fact that Supreme Court has overruled such arrests in every instance - the cops across the country continue to do it.

If you doubt me, Google simply..... "arrest, filming cops'' and watch the links unfold!!

Baaaaaa!

Oh OH, here's a late breaking story as of late today: It ain't smart to mess with hack-worthy kids....!! Click here for breaking story.....

I don't intend to be depressing as we reach the holiday...... dare I say, Christmas, Season ... but---

If it is a depressing, miserable, scary event in one's life to be laid off without notice at any time -- how depressing, miserable and scary must it be when it happens just before Christmas....

Like Obamanation likes to say, 'Elections have consequences!'  And this last election on November 6th surely has --- If you google 'layoffs, 2012', you'll come up with some real horror stories .. but if you want to save all that effort, click on this link, 'Daily Jobs Cut' and scroll down the list of the thousands of layoffs across the country in just the last thirty days.

Are they all a result of BO's re-election? I doubt it. Are they enhanced by that event? I'd bet on it.   Avoiding tax increases, Obamacare fiscal demands and more.

Yessir, elections have consequences. I hope those fine, deep thinking limousine liberals have to look out through their limo  windows at some of these thousands of new unemployed.....

Merry Christmas - the joke is on the Obamaphone voters.....  Oh, I'm sorry, they weren't working before the election, were they?

Pravda: "Recently, Obama has been re-elected for a 2nd term by an illiterate society .."

Pravda said that?  Yee Gads... what else did they say ---?  In his Op-Ed piece, Xavier Lerma said in this weeks issue of PRAVDA:

Putin in 2009 outlined his strategy for economic success. Alas, poor Obama did the opposite but nevertheless was re-elected. Bye, bye Miss American Pie. The Communists have won in America with Obama but failed miserably in Russia with Zyuganov who only received 17% of the vote. Vladimir Putin was re-elected as President keeping the NWO order out of Russia while America continues to repeat the Soviet mistake.

After Obama was elected in his first term as president the then Prime Minister of Russia, Vladimir Putin gave a speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland in January of 2009. Ignored by the West as usual, Putin gave insightful and helpful advice to help the world economy and saying the world should avoid the Soviet mistake.

Recently, Obama has been re-elected for a 2nd term by an illiterate society and he is ready to continue his lies of less taxes while he raises them. He gives speeches of peace and love in the world while he promotes wars as he did in Egypt, Libya and Syria. He plans his next war is with Iran as he fires or demotes his generals who get in the way.

He went on to say --- and sing:
Drove my Chevy to the levee, but the levee was dry......

For those of you who are curious about this Xavier Lerma fella that writes these columns, here is one explanation.....   Who is Xavier Lerma?

Anybody doubt that our young American warriors are able to maintain their sense of humor.....?

This photo was submitted by TSgt Mike Holzworth who said he took this photo while the Wounded Warriors were practicing the 100-meter dash for the trials competition that determine the Navy-Coast Guard Team for the 2013 Warrior Games. “I think it says I’m alive and even though my leg is gone it isn’t going to slow me down. Having the right attitude can help you overcome anything life throws at you,” Holzworth said.

(Caveat - I lifted this photo from one of my favorite blogs,  'Floppingaces.net' not as a matter of theft, but just to ensure that as many folks see it as possible. My thanks to them - if you haven't visited them, click on the link - Pecozbill)

Timmie the Tax Dodger --

...AKA - our Treasurer of the United States of America......

This would be funny if it didn't reflect what this flack flake actually said......

All you guys out there, do you remember back in grade school where there was always one obnoxious kid in the class -- sucking up to the teacher -- volunteering for hall monitor so he could turn in the other kids ..... you remember - the one you used to chase home from school on afternoons you were bored....

You remember him? Now look again at the man in this picture -- doesn't he look familiar?

On Thanksgiving Day.......

On this day of Thanksgiving, even backsliding Methodists like ole' Pecozbill gets to thinking about thanking ......

In a Nation where the loud mouthed few... have run Christ out of Christmas,  the Ten Commandments and nativity scenes  off of courthouse lawns, and prayers and even Pledges out of the schools; it seems appropriate to remember how we got to be the great nation we are.

After the Pilgrims survived the cold and hunger, after years of living under King George's thumb, and after years of the cold bloody revolutionary war - we became a Nation.  And on 3 October, 1789, the President of this new nation, George Washington, issued this proclamation:

Whereas it is the duty of all nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey His will, to be grateful for His benefits, and humbly to implore His protection and favor; and Whereas both Houses of Congress have, by their joint committee, requested me to “recommend to the people of the United States a day of public thanksgiving and prayer, to be observed by acknowledging with grateful hearts the many and signal favors of Almighty God, especially by affording them an opportunity peaceably to establish a form of government for their safety and happiness:”
Now, therefore, I do recommend and assign Thursday, the 26th day of November next, to be devoted by the people of these States to the service of that great and glorious Being who is the beneficent author of all the good that was, that is, or that will be; that we may then all unite in rendering unto Him our sincere and humble thanks for His kind care and protection of the people of this country previous to their becoming a nation; for the signal and manifold mercies and the favorable interpositions of His providence in the course and conclusion of the late war; for the great degree of tranquility, union, and plenty which we have since enjoyed; for the peaceable and rational manner in which we have been enable to establish constitutions of government for our safety and happiness, and particularly the national one now lately instituted for the civil and religious liberty with which we are blessed, and the means we have of acquiring and diffusing useful knowledge; and, in general, for all the great and various favors which He has been pleased to confer upon us.
And also that we may then unite in most humbly offering our prayers and supplications to the great Lord and Ruler of Nations and beseech Him to pardon our national and other transgressions; to enable us all, whether in public or private stations, to perform our several and relative duties properly and punctually; to render our National Government a blessing to all the people by constantly being a Government of wise, just, and constitutional laws, discreetly and faithfully executed and obeyed; to protect and guide all sovereigns and nations (especially such as have shown kindness to us), and to bless them with good governments, peace, and concord; to promote the knowledge and practice of true religion and virtue, and the increase of science among them and us; and, generally to grant unto all mankind such a degree of temporal prosperity as He alone knows to be best.
Given under my hand, at the city of New York, the 3d day of October, A.D. 1789.
And signed of course by George Washington

Happy Day of Thanksgiving to you all.............

Life is full of questions....

Unfortunately, more questions than answers ......  as I read through the news today, I wonder to myself.....

1. Why is nobody asking asking why the US Ambassador to Libya, the late Chris Stevens, left the safety of the American fortress US Embassy in Tripoli..... to travel to the ill guarded and unprotected consulate building in Benghazi on September 11th - of all days?

He had been warning of the danger in country, and asking for additional protection. I haven't heard anybody from either party ask "Why was this trip necessary?" during their hand wringing sessions

2. If Hamas and Israel reached an accord for a cease fire yesterday, 20 November, why was it not announced and enacted until Hellary Clinton arrived on the scene today, the 21st? People died during those 24 hours.  How many American tax dollars will find their way to Egypt, Hamas and Israel for enacting this cease fire?

3. If a human being is in this country illegally - his very being is breaking the law. How than can States like Washington, New Mexico and now Illinois issue a valid State Driver's License to a person who is breaking the law just standing there?

4. And finally fact four, for the fun of alliteration -- How do so many fat forty year olds find and finesse physicians to finalize Handicapped Car tags for their unfit trips to the supermarket. And are these morbidly obese Twinkies twits part of the thousands of new Social Security disabled worker set that I hear so much about? Seems like a little walk to those electric store carts might be healthy in some instances.

Just wonderin' out loud....  I was just kidding about final four!  Here is:

5. Why in God's name would any rational American think that Obamanation would argue against going over the 'Fiscal Cliff'?  Let's see now -- all taxes would be raised, Defense spending would be cut -- any changes to that new status would have to be negotiated by the GOP from his grasping hands... what's not to like?  It's a dream come true!!

Marco Rubio, one of our brightest stars proves it again.... or - what a strange world we've become!.

For the December issue of GQ magazine (the 'Gentlemen' in the name of the magazine is misleading) a fella named Hainey interviewed Marco Rubio, a rising star and new face in the GOP.

The interview went about like you would expect, politics, family, personal life experiences, political experiences and then....... out of the blue --- right after a question about his feelings about his grandfather's  and his father's dignity came this eleventh question:

GQ: How old do you think the Earth (sic) is?

Marco Rubio:  "I'm not a scientist, man. I can tell you what recorded history says, I can tell you what the Bible says, but I think that's a dispute amongst theologians and I think it has nothing to do with the gross domestic product or economic growth of the United States. I think the age of the universe has zero to do with how our economy is going to grow. I'm not a scientist. I don't think I'm qualified to answer a question like that. At the end of the day, I think there are multiple theories out there on how the universe was created and I think this is a country where people should have the opportunity to teach them all. I think parents should be able to teach their kids what their faith says, what science says. Whether the Earth was created in 7 days, or 7 actual eras, I'm not sure we'll ever be able to answer that. It's one of the great mysteries."

Personally I thought it was a brilliant, extemporaneous response to a weird question. But then I got to wondering --- where the hell did the question come from --  and I saw Liberal M18 Claymore Anti-Personnel Landmine written all over it. (of course the makers of the Claymore mine at least print the words "Front Toward Enemy" across their face)

It was completely out of context, had nothing to do with the previous question nor the following question. To me it was an obvious attempt to get Rubio to make some idiotic, not carefully crafted answer that would either offend the Bible crowd, or insult the beliefs of the elitist scientific crowd.   Either way, Rubio loses and the clever Mr Hainey and GQ salt the audio tape away for 2016 or whenever it would be helpful to their cause...

Like I said up above - I think Marco Rubio's answer was brilliant - and offended no one.

If Republican Senator Wannabe's Akins and  Mourdock were half as smart - or half as prepared for the groin-kick questions they were asked - they'd be on their way to the US Senate now instead of back in their home states of Missouri and Indiana.... thinking of what might have been.

Pigeon Shooters shoot down Pigeon Shooter Spy helicopter......

Interesting series of events up in Berks County, Pennsylvania. A privately owned hunting club on privately owned land, is conducting legal pigeon shoots --- when an animal rights group takes umbrage and attacks from the air.

So like, Vegans, animal rights folks, and others who want to press their way of thinking on the rest of the world...... the animal rights group, laughingly called SHARK, started spying with radio controlled 'octicopters' carrying hi-tech TV cameras. Film on You Tube at 11,  I reckon....

Now then, you run a hunting club for your members. All shooters.  What do shooters do to spy Octicopters when they fly over your private club property with spy cameras?  ........ BAM - BAM!!

Of course!!

This picture is worth a zillion words......

If only she'd say that to the next in line......

Just cogitatin' about the state of the USA.......

.... thinking about events, elections, the 47%, the 1% ....  etc.

As I understand it, the current Gross Domestic Income is about $9.8 trillion buckaroos.

The Federal Gobmint has a budget of about $3 Trillion (and growing automatically) bucks.

Wonder what would happen in this country if these figures were banged together -- and the tax code was thrown out ---   and every citizen, from Welfare Annie to Bill Gates, were assessed their flat pro-rata share of that federal expense based on whatever income they have ....   looks to be about 30% to me.

No deficits allowed, no borrowing from the Chinese. Pay as you go....

So whether you is a billionaire, or getting $1, 000 per month on welfare, social security, or unemployment - you would be assessed 30% of your income to pay for your share of the gov'mints operating expenses......   no exceptions, no deductibles... no arguments!!

I wonder how long it would take for the good citizens of this country to turn our gob'mint growth around and start some serious shrinkage....

and I ain't even talking about the cost of schools, city, county and state gob'mints..... hmmmm

Best One-Liners of the week...........

“Both parties in Washington now agree that our country is headed toward a ‘fiscal cliff.’ The bad news: We just elected a guy whose campaign slogan was ‘Forward.’” –Jay Leno

                                               *************
“According to poll data, President Obama’s victory on Tuesday was due largely to his popularity with both college students and the unemployed. So basically Obama became President the same way Budweiser became the King of Beers.” –Seth Meyers

******************
“Arizona has elected the first openly bisexual congresswoman. Apparently she did very well with swing voters.” –Conan O’Brien

*******************

“Today a rare 76-carat diamond went up for auction in Switzerland. The jeweler called it ‘a priceless stone’ while David Petraeus’ wife called it ‘a start.’” –Jimmy Fallon

...........and so it goes!!!!!!

There is some light in all this political darkness...

....... in this dark year of 2012, when Americans across the land (well, admittedly mostly on the left and right coasts) decided that Greece, Spain, France & England were role models we should emulate; politically and economically,

A ray of sunshine burst out here and there though..... on of them being a Texan named Ted Cruz, who was handily elected to fill the seat of the departing cup of tepid tea known as Kaye Bailey Hutchinson..

Cruz is as refreshing on the blah political scene as Senator Rand Paul -- and between them, they ought to give the whiny, mean spirited Dingy Harry an even more pursed mouth look.

Ted Cruz's latest statement? “I’m pretty certain Mitt Romney actually French-kissed Barack Obama,” Cruz said in a speech at the Federalist Society’s annual conference Friday. (more here)

He went on to 'splain that although Romney had Obamanation backed up against the wall in the first debate - he took some bad advice and got all wobbly in the subsequent debates.

Ain't no telling what he's gonna say once he gets sworn in as a Senator - but I hope they don't make him drink any of the DC Kool-Ade when he takes the oath......

Speaking of Sarah Palin..............

Nobody is..........................?

I don't for a minute believe that her 'Fifteen minutes of fame' are up. She has too much star power and too much patriotism to go sit in the corner ---  I actually Googled her name to see if I've missed any headlines....  apparently not..

Although she does have a Tweet (twitter?) site.

So.... that begs the question... Wither thou goest, Sister Sarah?

We miss that smile AND that enthusiasm...

PETA to the rescue.....

Once again PETA has come to the rescue of the poor mistreated animals of the world.

Apparently every New Years Eve, while millions celebrate in Times Square by dropping a ball, and billions celebrate the event around the world in their own way, in the little town of Brasstown, North Carolina,  the possum capital of the world, they have a 'Opossum Drop'

No, they don't literally drop a possum on it's head.  They put a possum in a little plastic cage, lower the cage twenty feet - and then set the possum free.

PETA sued on behalf of the possum.......  and North Carolina Senior Administrative Law Judge Fred Morrison Jr., ordered: "Hunters must afford wild animals the same right Patrick Henry yearned for, 'Give me liberty, or give me death!’”

Between tasting the bear stew, and the musket shoots, I wonder if some North Carolinians are thinking about having a 'Law Judge Drop' or a 'PETA Lawyer cook-off'?

By the way, it would be legal to shoot and kill the possum, but illegal to cage it, lower it and set it free...... Click here...

A really great discussion on the state of the state....and Obamanomics..

This is short video, but if you are short of time, at least skip to the 3 minute mark and watch this feller's explanation of the faults of the current state of mind in this country and in the White House

My My..... elections DO have consequences, don't they???

Future Secretary of Defense? w/friend
I opened my Internet newspaper this morning and this headline hit me:
Senator John Kerry-Heinz to be new Secretary of Defense and requests his medals back

Right below that little eye opener was the following headline:
UN Ambassador (Sunday Morning) Susan Rice to be promoted to Secretary of State because she gives good talking points

And some folks question why Vets around the country were flying their American Flags upside down in distress mode on Veteran's Day the last couple of days.....

Lord luv a duck.......

All kinds of things about this coming December!!

See something strange about this month?
Looks like any other month, right?  Wrong!!   Look again, December 2012 has 5 Saturdays, 5 Sundays, and 5 Mondays.  That ain't gonna happen again for 824 years and I ain't sure I'll be around for the next one.

According to Chinese legend, and Feng Shui, if you send this to all your friends and enemies you will prosper. If you don't, tough tamales! (or is that Tough Fried Rice?)

Now then, Pilgrims, I don't believe all that stuff......  but on the other hand, one can't be too careful -- so I'll post it here for all my friends and enemies to eyeball.

After all, doesn't the Mayan Calendar predict the end of the world in December 2012..... gotta cover those bets.......     (especially after what happened November 6th)

(Thanx and a Tip-O-The-Stetson to fellow vet Bob Snyder fer the heads-up)

Them thar' Floridians are some kinda patriots!!!

I note with interest that in St Lucie County, Florida.... (the only county in his district that retired Army Lt Col Allen West  (R-FL) lost)   that they had a turnout of 141.1% on election day!

With 175,554 registered voters -- St Lucie County had 247,713 votes cast!

BTW, Obamanation won that county too!

This recount process is gonna be interesting.......

To all my vellow Veterans - Thank you for your service!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's their day.........
And of course, I speak not only of the grandpa's of my generation, but the uncles & aunts, the brothers & sisters, the dads & moms of today's generation!   Warriors all - we thank you!

Here's a couple of maps....... just for fun??????

This top map shows the outcome of Tuesday's election.  Florida was still gray at the time.... duh!

This second map shows those states which require a voter picture ID (Green), require a voter ID (Teal), those states that request (but do not require) an ID (Yellow) and of course those that require neither an ID, nor proof of a pulse or citizenship -- (Gray)

Anybody see a pattern here? And folks actually wonder why the Dimmocrats fight so vehemently against voter ID's at the polling place.....   Hah!

And this picture shows nothing, there is nothing to see here folks, move along please......

(Thanks to the folks at American Third Position for these maps)

So...... anybody got any facts out there????

Forgive me God, I didn't really mean it.....

...as I woke up this morning in the bright sun of a cool November morning in Texas,  looking forward to a moderate 80° day - I opened my PC newspapers and see that the Nor'easter hit Staten Island last night.

Six inches of snow, barely above freezing, all that misery piled on top of the misery and havoc created by Sandy.  I had been reading quotes from MSNBC's Chris Matthews, 'I'm glad that that storm, Sandy, hit!', he opined as he grinned at Obamanation's reelection.

I had been reading all of the day after headlines pointing out that his 'magnificent' performance during Sandy had put him over the hump on election day. I recall he showed up once on his way to a rally ......  magnificent!

Then I read this morning, that thousands are still with out heat, electricity, gasoline, food, water, or the presence of the POTUS!!   FEMA offices are locked up - "Closed because of Weather" the signs say.

I smiled smugly -- and then I remembered some experiences my family and I suffered in strange lands during my years in the military .. and rethought.    I wouldn't wish that on anybody -- not even Obama voters.    I'm sorry for even thinking those thoughts.....

I truly hope things will turn around for those folks .... and soon!

But I'll admit that I hope they remember these few days with clarity and sharpness, just as I remember our troubled times in similar incompetant environments!

Thought I'd said my last words on Tuesday's election, but........

This graph of exit poll results so graphically 'splains what I was frothin' about in my comments yesterday about the Generation Y (and the millennials) that I thought I ought to post it.

(for you folks with grapholitis -- Blue was a Dem vote - Red was a GOP vote.

By large margins, the folks that are gonna be paying the bills (and their kids) - those born 1968 -1994, apparently wanted four more years of the current administration and his ways....

Bless their hearts....... 'cause their gonna need it....!

Just wondering out loud .... this came in over my tronsom last night.....

VERY GOOD QUESTION!!

Nuff Said????????

Wheee doggies.....

A few last words on yesterday's election......

I was going to move on just like yesterday's American disaster didn't happen ... but I can't. So a few parting words ... on the topic:

Good news: Paul Ryan got to keep his House seat and so we won't lose his talents despite his Veep loss....

Good news: The GOP kept control of the House, so Obamanation won't be able to run completely amok... unless he tears up the rest of the Constitution.

Bad news: Mia Love, the rising star of Utah lost her congressional bid to a liberal party hack.

Bad news: Scott Brown, a GOP Senator in the Blue state of Massachusetts lost the good fight to Faux Professor and Faux Indian but purely liberal Lizzie Warren...  it's a shame, he tried to be the best Senator that very blue state ever had....

There are more examples of Good and Bad news across the country but I'll let you sort it out....

I hope the GOP will look at the races of Johnny Mac in 2008 and Mitt Romney yesterday and the dim bulb will light up.... they can't win with moderates!!  Heck, Romney got several million votes LESS than Johnny Mac -- even if the race was closer.

And now for a few words to the young members of Generation X and you Millennials in Generation Y:

My father's generation bequeathed the greatest nation on the planet to my generation. Not by accident, I might add... but by suffering the slings and arrows of depressions, world wars, and threats of nuclear annihilation ....  My generation tried to pass it on - but I reckon we came up short.

Your generation has apparently decided that you are happy with your nation living on an overdrawn credit card...  as long as you get yours.  I am reminded in this circumstance by the cursory words of Prime Minister Sir Harold Macmillan of England...... when the USA refused to support them in their efforts to retain control of the Suez Canal in 1956 ..... in a telegram to President Eisenhower, Macmillan  simply said: "Over to you." Look at direction of the Middle East over the last fifty years and think of his telegram.

And now after yesterday's election, I reckon it's time for our generation to look y'all square in the eye and say:

"Over to you!"

In the famous words of Jimmy Duante....

"Goodnight Mrs Calabash, wherever you are!:

and now....

"Goodbye, America, Land that I loved!"

While we are killing time waiting for the election results to start coming in, let's look at another poor performance this year....

I don't follow professional basketball -- for a lot of reasons that you probably don't care to hear -- but having said that --- if we are going to discuss poor job performance this year. we can't end without discussing this attempted free throw by a ten year veteran of the NBA earlier this year.

I have no idea how much this man is paid to shoot a basketball through a hoop, but I do know that the minimum wage for an NBA pro with over ten years of play is...... are your ready for this?   ---$1,352,181 !!!   Yep $1.3 MILLION Buckaroos --

Take a gander at what the NBA Charlotte Bobcats get for that salary.....

I reckon I'm the last guy on the planet.....

.... to discover that 'MEH' is a word .... and further, I'm the last one to learn what it means.

For this past month, it seemed like every Internet page I pulled up had a picture of a tall gal in a slouched posture .... wearing only underpants and a tee shirt that read 'MEH' ... I was clueless ...... but then, I really didn't care -- you could even call me indifferent.

Heck, I've just recently learned the meaning of 'meme' and almost wished I still went to cocktail parties so I could drop it into my conversation....   Now I really have to accept an invite so I can drop both MEH and MEME on them in one evening.

How's that for the grand heights of ................. Kewl?

Being election week, a lot of editorial cartoons to choose from -- but this one really grabbed me......

'We came to bury the Benghazi story - not to report it!"..... Main Stream Media

Twenty-four little hours.......

As I sat watching the Redskins getting their heads handed to them by the Carolina Panthers yesterday -- thus - applying the 'Redskins Rule' and calling Tuesday's election ahead of time..... Romney wins! .... I got to thinking....

Down here in Texas, neither presidential candidate showed up for huge rallies... granted, they both visited Texas for fund raisers in posh houses  over the last two years, but I wasn't invited. But no visits to local TV stations, no retail selling...  Texas, big as it is, is ignored by both candidates 'cause it's still a safe Red state - at least for a while. The Blue centers of Houston, Austin, Dallas and San Antonio will soon catch up, but not yet.

Thus, we enjoyed a relatively sane political season  this year. The Senate race for Kay Hutchinson's seat is a foregone conclusion, the various Congressional Districts have been so Gerrymandered the last few years that there is no excitement in them.

Even so - I am tired of this election cycle that seems to have been going on for the last four years --- the GOP in their primary campaign, and heck, Obamanation has been running for four years -- he never has taken time out to be President of All The People of the United States.

If I'm tired of it, you folks in those battle-ground, contested states must be plumb worn out..... Bless your hearts.  Be of good cheer! Hopefully it will all be over about Eleven PM tomorrow night.

....and the 2016 race doesn't start until Wednesday morning ........

Just in case you lost your 'to do' list......

"Never let a good 'Voting Day' go to waste......"
(Thanx and a Tip O' the Stetson to fellow Vet Bob Snyder)

"All that Twitters..... is not Gold!!'

I have a confession to make, Pilgrims --- I am a virgin when it comes to 'Twitterin'.  I not only have never Twittered, I've never even fooled around late at night with my keyboard thinking about it.

Maybe I just don't understand it well enough, my Daddy died years before it was invented so he couldn't have told me about it ...  So what little I know about it I've learned in backroom blogs and seen written on bathroom walls.

Now however, in this age of enlightenment, there is a whole blog out there - which is solely dedicated to the collection of, categorizing and reproducing a zillion Twits (or is it twitters)? I never get it straight. If the message is a Twitter, isn't the sender a Twit.... or a Twitterite?

Is the receiver a Twittee or a Twitterette?

Anyway, I'll link you to the site; 'Twitchy.com' and you fellow virgins can judge for yerself of the value of these short, profane communications. If you decided to join the pack, don't twitter me, cause I only practice safe verbal intercourse.......... and never withdraw in mid-thought!

File this under - "They who laugh last --- laugh best!"

Poor ole' Canada, forced to share North America with it's big time neighbor, the US of A,  must be smiling today.  After years of their lesser value Canadian Dollar, and all other measures against the the mighty United States ....  the latest study comes out with the Ten Most Prosperous countries in the world --- and Ta Da!!

Canada ranks 5th in the world --

and the mighty United States of America?  Not even in the Top Ten..... it has dropped to a lowly twelfth place....   Hope we made some friends on the way up..... as it were.

Go here for full report and slide show of Top Ten

By the way - this made me curious so I thought I'd check the mighty US Dollar out in a conversion chart with those Canadian Dollars that always were ranked lower... you know, a price stated as: $12.00 (US) $13.50 (Canadian) ....

Guess what --- The two dollars are now at parity....    a dollar equals a dollar....!!!

Does any of this make me proud or happy?  - heck no -- but it does serve as a wake-up call to this nation and it's so called leaders......

With "Joltin Joe Bite-Me at the microphone, I don't need to say a word....

A time to pause - - and think......

I don't know about you folks, but since I first got caught up in this Internet Thing where anybody can say almost anything about anybody, almost anonymously - I have learned above all else....

Take what every you read in the hundreds of blogs and by the thousands of bloggers, sift it through a narrow sieve, and the cover it well with a grain of salt - before ingesting it.  I think back to the mid-Nineties -

-with Internet reports about how Commerce Secretary Ron Brown's plane was led to crash in Croatia on purpose --
-when all the reports had Bubba Clinton having Arkansas teenagers killed to hide the drug smuggling going on in the state--
-- the truth behind the faked suicide of White House counsel Vince Foster--
--and thousands more...

So, now here we are again -- and the Internet is going wild over this Benghazi mystery!  Is there a cover up? If so, what are they covering up? Weapons being sold to Syrian rebels? Ambassador Stevens a martyr or the overseer for a deadly weapons transfer? Military told to stand down? Fear of our own SAM missiles prevented sending in air assistance?

So many questions --- so little time until November 6th.  I don't believe we'll have any answers before election day -- and if Obamanation is re-elected, I don't reckon the Main Stream Media will press an investigation...... hell, I'm not sure that a thorough public investigation will be conducted if BO loses .....  blame it on international concerns ....

The only thing I'm certain of is that between FOX network, and a few conservative columnists and reporters scattered around --- if its buried - it won't be a quiet funeral.

What do you think?
