What's missing this election year? The disappeared!!

Who are the disappeared? You thought they were just the victims of those South American countries?  Not hardly, friends!

If you recall the year that President Ronald Reagan ran for re-election..... every night on every channel, we were flamed with pictures of Ronald Reagan's homeless people'....

Every evening Brokaw, Rather and Jennings forced the sad pictures and sorry stories of the thousands of homeless people sleeping on the streets, in cardboard boxes or on park benches....  All because of Reagan's policies! 

Guess what folks?   There are by gob'mint count - more than twice as many homeless folks out there this year..... some 650,000 of them.  These would be those 47 million not lucky enough to get food stamps I guess...

When was the last time you saw one on your evening news??  Bite my tongue --- these are Obamanation's homeless people -- we don't talk about them --- they're disappeared!

Who knew.... it would come true?

I don't know if Hellary woulda' done any better, but I guess on September 11th, the good folks in the American Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, sure learned what would happen if Obamanation is President....

"So sorry, nobody here is willing to take your call. Please leave a message and we'll get back to you in six weeks after the election!"

Our greatest nightmare!!!!

No, this isn't a Halloween fright picture.  This is a picture that you should show to every undecided voter, or every potential voter who 'won't bother to vote because both candidates are the same'!

Forget Obamacare, forget rampant inflation, forget feckless leading from behind and apology tours.  Here is the reason why this election matters:

As a matter fact, here are five reasons:

1. Justice Scalia is 78.

2. Justice Kennedy will turn 78 later this year.

3. Justice Breyer will be 76 in August.

4. Justice Ginsburg is 81. She also has pancreatic cancer.

5. Justice Stephens has already said he would retire and is just waiting for Obama to be re-elected.

The next POTUS could get to appoint FIVE NEW justices during his term. For LIFE terms.   And this doesn't count the hundreds of other LIFE Tenured federal judges. They all have a heck of a lot more impact on our lives in this land - than does the POTUS.....

There is NO excuse for not voting --- but there are all these reasons for going to the voting booth for VOTING NEXT TUESDAY --- please share this with an uninspired friend.... if that doesn't move him/her into action, whisper in their ears:  Sonia Sotomayor - 'the wise latina Justice' & Elena Kagan, the liberal law professor straight to Supreme Court Justice.....

So, you put 12 Somali immigrants into an apartment, each month you put the electricity or the water in a different occupants name...... Viole!! I six months, you have 12 potential voters to register.  

Then as soon as early voting starts, you pile 'em on buses and take them to the polls.

$64.00 Question:  Do you still wonder why the Democrats are so violently against picture ID, voting laws?

How come there ain't more good Americans getting mad about having their country stolen from them -- and the purity of their vote?

Electoral College vs Popular Vote.....

Every four years, the talking heads, the vacuous eyed intellectual wannabe's with big hair, no hair, or nose hair, and the otherwise unimportant folks in our public lives, get on the rant that the Electoral College system is antiquated.

Anybody who truly cares can easily enough Google and find the arguments in nano-seconds. I'll simply say this ---

In my not-so-humble opinion,  "Abolition of the Electoral College, and establishment of a popular vote to determine our President and Vice President would be the last blow to our Republic!! 

We were created by the Founding Fathers as a Democratic Republic and the day we forget that, we will follow every true democracy in history down into the abyss of failed countries."

 Pure democracies NEVER last - ask any Greek..... or for that matter, ask any Californian!

I have been pondering what fuzzy world an airhead U.S. Citizen must live in to be 'undecided' about their choice for their election ballot November 6th.   After years of bombardment, months of headlines and stories, hundreds of hours of debates, pundits talking about the debates, .......... they are still undecided?

The “SNL” parody of so-called undecideds has characters saying things like: “Before you get our vote, you’re going to have to answer some questions. Questions like, When is the election? When do we have to decide? What are the names of the two people running? And, be specific.”

During that final presidential debate last night -- we had a perfect picture of the difference between the two candidates:

- Smugging Chicago street hustler vs accomplished CEO and former gob'ner.

- Sarcastic Oval office bully loosed without his handlers vs adult national leader. 

I reckon it all culminated with Obamanation's smarmy and sarcastic retort to Romney's comments regarding the decreasing strength of our US Navy. His little zinger some staff weenie prepared for him. 

"Governor, we also have fewer horses and bayonets,  the nature of our military has changed. We have these things called aircraft carriers where planes land on them. We have ships that go under water: nuclear submarines."

I realize that BO has only found enough non-golf course time to visit the Tomb of the Unknown in Washington, mebbe once in the last four years --- but if he had looked around, he would have seen those guards with those pointy things at the end of their rifles.  Those are called bayonets, Mr POTUS. I doubt that there is an active, retired or buried Army or Marine grunt that hasn't fixed his bayonet at least once as he served in Iraq, Afghanistan, 'Nam, Korea, and all of the other places they were sent into harms way by US Presidents in the last 235 years.... 

And now, apparently, also in the embassies and consulates in troubled countries as they try to save lives with no help from 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. 

BTW, I may be an Air Force vet..... but even I know that a ship that goes under water is called 'sunk' .........  submarines are called boats!    

It's gone past arrogance and embarrassment, like Michelle Antoinette says in the post right below this one..... it's time to get out and vote -- the toilets are overflowing......

Lucie Collins, RIP

During my years in the Air Force, I lived for four enjoyable years in the Town of Bedford, England.  We enjoyed our stay there - larger than a town really, more of a small city. 

That little cutie over there on the right didn't get to live in Bedford for four years. She only got to live there for two years..... for October 5th, she developed an infection and fever. Her dad rushed her to the nearest 'Surgery', Medical offices, where he sat with her for an hour. When her lips started turning blue, he made his fourth trip up to the window to ask them to call an ambulance if they wouldn't see to her.

They finally relented and took her into the 'nurses' room --- where she died before the ambulance arrived....

I have no point to make here -- as the bumper sticker says, 'S**T HAPPENS'...  but I'm not sure little Lucie or her Mom and twin brother would vote for Obamacare.....  You can go here for the rest of the story if you wish.

Did I mention that our oldest son was born in Bedford Hospital - the hospital Lucie didn't make it to before she died?

Keep your friends close - but your 'frenemies' even closer....

Now, this begs the question Pilgrims....  if you were in that audience, at that rally, and your wife had been laid off two years ago, you were laid off last year and are now working two part time jobs just to hang on to your house and car.....

And some former goat roper from Arkansas, who lost his law license as well as the dignity of the Oval Office,  who is now  making $80 million a year making speeches around the world, and was trying to get you to vote for a former community organizer who is now making millions of dollars per year and who is guaranteed to make more for the rest of his life........  

How impressed would you be with this admonition to 'quit demanding that the economy be turned around, jobs created, the national debt slowed' by 'the day before yesterday'????

I mean to tell ya' folks -- how can you argue with solid down to earth endorsements like that .....?  

Hugo Chavez says: “Obama is a good guy” and that if Obama was from Caracas, he’d surely return the favor by voting for Chavez.

To be honest, my home town newspaper, the San Antonio Excuse-News also feels that Obama 'deserves another four years' ......

But then, I do to - and don't care if it's in Leavenworth,  Gitmo, or that second term home for Illinois Gob'ners, ...   US Prison - in Marion,  Illinois....!!!!

Thinking of these presidential debates as the SUPERBOWL of politics -- what a gift the MSM is handing Obamanation and the Dims..

Debate #1 - Obama was given an extra three minutes, fourteen seconds to speak. 

Debate #2 - Biden was given an extra one minute, twenty-two seconds to grin on camera.

Debate #3 - (Too much) Candy Crowley gifted Obama  a full four minutes and eighteen seconds to stutter ...

Now then, with audiences in the 60 million range - the only comparable is Super Bowl numbers....   Last February 5th - NBC charged $3.5 Million smackeroos for a 30-second commercial spot...

Lets see - rounding off those overtimes granted in these debates to Eight minutes ---  It would appear that the MSM moderators made a tax free gift to the Dems of  $28,000,000 (million) dollars worth of air face time.

Not a bad deal ...........................  if you are a Dim!!!

At the debate Tuesday night, the two first ladies both appeared in pink, I assume in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. 

Makes sense.

Ann Romney's dress is a little simpler and a little pinker -- but then she is an actual breast cancer survivor.

US Magazine ran this picture with the following headline news: 'Ann Romney's frock cost $1.690'.   Some how they forgot to mention that Michelle Antoinette's outfit cost twice that much @ $3,3290.

Now then, this left leaning liberal cabal in the main-stream-media are in a frothing frenzy!  Polls are swinging faster than they can discount them.  Uncontrollable events like the Benghazi atrocity are actually sinking into peoples heads as they read the headlines at the grocery store check out counters, SNAP cards in hand. 

Despite the finest efforts of the debate moderators, Romney is still getting his message out. Even (Too Much) Candy Crowley's heavy thumb pushing down on the scales with her instant (and erroneous) fact checking and constant interruptions haven't helped the hapless Obamanation.

Poor fella, in 2008 he had "Hope & Change" as his mantra --- now he has an indefensible four year record to defend.  And Romney can reasonably shout - "Hope for change!"

So, Monday night in the JournoList-2012 goal line defense.  Bob Schieffer, the feisty seventy-five year old news curmudgeon of CBS will be brought in off the bench to stave off Romney's charge.

The question for the sixty million fans in the stands.....  who will show up? An old fashioned, take no prisoners, newsman...   or just another wussy pimp for the JournoList crowd.

Being the eternal optimist that I am --- I am hoping that Bob Schieffer wakes up Monday morning and realizes that this is probably his swan song -- and may well be the TV journalist performance for which he is eternally remembered. 

Besides, he couldn't possibly outscore Martha Raddatz and Crowley for JournoList bias points -- so why not play it straight.....

But I'll keep my fingers crossed as well.....

Only one problem with this picture --- it implies that Obamanation gives a damn about Big Bird -- when in truth, his only concern is reelection.

He'd throw Big Bird under the bus with Reverend Wright and all the other strange birds, in a Chicagoland minute if he thought it would help on November 6th......

'Dilbert' for Romney?

I came across this short item by Scott Adams, the creator of the Dilbert (bid'ness) cartoon strip. 

I found it to be thought provoking on several levels --- (beyond Marijuana laws) and am linking it here for your review--- if you wish. 

I am not arguing the pros and cons - although I have an opinion....  which I may add as a comment to this post - later.

A Nation of Sheeple? And Dumb to boot?

Stand back Partners, I'm about to get wordy here--

As I watched the debate Tuesday night, after I got by my absolute shock that the moderator would not only be biased, she would be running interference for Obamanation and throwing flags mindlessly --- (she interrupted Romney 28 times in full stride)....  but once I got past that, I got to thinking of one of BO's most specific (if not profound) statements:

He said: "That's why we doubled fuel efficiency standards on cars, that means that in the middle of the next decade, any car you buy, you're going to end up going twice as far on a gallon of gas."

This statement begs so many questions - and I have so little space. 

1. Who is the 'we' in 'we doubled efficiency standards'. Is their a passel of auto engineers in the West Wing or the EPA -- or just some pencil necked, tree hugging lawyers that decided 'we will raise the MPG (gasoline) standards arbitrarily?

2. They have already raised average MPG requirements to 35.5 MPG by 2016. That's just four years from now and as of last month -  the average MPG is 23.2. What's the scam (besides political BS) in these standards?  It's spelled ETHANOL and lobbyists! Follow the money -- In Obama-speak MPG is an acronym for MILES PER GALLON OF GASOLINE (not ethanol or alternative fuels)  and if labeled honestly would be MPGG!

3. Here is the biggie -- How many of you folks lay awake at night dreaming of the day in 2025 when you can pay four times as much for a car and four times as much for a gallon of gasoline so that you can go twice as far on one gallon? Somehow that math just doesn't work -- in must be in the D.C. drinking water. That's how they budget too!

If I am paying more than twice as much for a gallon of 'blended' gasoline today than I was four years ago when Obamanation took the oath, and am getting two more miles per gallon of gasoline because I'm partly burning corn product... where's the gain? 

And I ain't even gonna talk about the price of pork, chicken, beef, and tortillas - all of which now compete for the same bushel of corn........  think on it and talk to your friends before November 6th, PLEASE!

It ain't no yellow brick road, honey!!!

So.... the town is going bankrupt .... so whose fault is it?

We've all read the horror stories of the overpaid mayors, cops and firemen out in California -- and the towns going bankrupt because of them.  But we shook it off - after all, it's the Left Coast -- what else can you expect?

But now comes some reporting about the East Coast -- the little town of Ramapo (Population 125K) in South East NY, just off the New York State Thruway --  has a Chief of Police whose total salary last year was $321,719!!  American dollars.  American Tax Payer Dollars.

As a matter of record, New York's 20 highest-paid local-government employees -- mostly police officers and brass outside of the city of New York all brought home at least $245,000 last year! (NYC Commissioner Kelly with 35,000 cops only gets $205K per year)

Between these exorbitant salaries, the accompanying retirement costs, Governor Cuomo (yeah that Cuomo dynasty) says "The cost of our public-employee work force in unsustainable."  

But in the next breath, when it was pointed out that repeal of a State Law providing for automatic public payroll raises would solve the problem - the same Cuomo (yeah that Cuomo dynasty) allowed as that is a "political non-starter' because of union contributions to the State legislature.....

What is it they say on Twitter or Tweeter>    YFIO!!!!

Now, about those teacher's unions, fire fighter's unions ...... oh never mind --- A magic genie will appear............ NOT!

Who greased the slippery slope?

Sometimes I begin to believe that the slippery slope toward socialism has turned into a Bob Sled Run.....

Just last week, I read that the Florida State Board of Ed (not the Feds yet)) has decided to create a tiered achievement success rated based on race. Asian students will be expected to attain a high level of educational achievement, reading and math skills for example, while white kids can pass muster with a lesser grade. Then the hispanic kids will be expected to only satisfy a level lower and the black kids will be graded successful at a much lower reading and math level. 

WTH? is a phrase that comes to mind, isn't it. 

Today I open my paper and see that the new Socialist Presidente Hollande of France,  is considering a ban on all homework in that country. The kids will probably love him in the short run -- but.....

Apparently he feels that because some of the kid's home life, environment and parental guidance is of lesser quality than others ---- well, then -  just stop assigning homework so that no kid gets an advantage by studying more than his school mates.  Make sense to you? A nation of undereducated morons is better for the Nation of France than people of different knowledge and skill levels? nes pas?

Secretary Hellary give a whole new meaning to 'Whoop-Dee-Do' !!

Whatta gal -- what a patriot - what a bunch of phony baloney!!!

Twenty-four hours before Obamanation faces his second debate tonight -- all of a sudden, Hellary Clinton calls every US TV reporter in Peru accompanying her latest tour and declares...... "The Buck Stops With Me - I Am Responsible"  

(but then quickly tosses in a few crumbs about the fog of war - bad intel - and her channel to Eleanor Roosevelt being shut down I reckon)

All that aside - the way is now cleverly cleared for BHO to look pensive and responsible tonight when the inevitable questions comes up regarding Benghazi - look his questioner right in the eye and say, "Although Secretary Clinton and the Department of State has taken full responsibility for what happened to our brave Ambassador - as President, I of course share the pain."  Or other blithering words to that effect!

Male Bovine Excrement!!!   There was no 'fog of war' two months ago when they asked for security and were refused, there was no fog when, for the last month, they have stonewalled Congress, the press and the American people on their failings...  

Here is a question. If full responsibility for these deaths and this disaster falls on Hellary's shoulders --- why is she still Secretary of State? Why did she not resign? (that's what statesmen do)  Why was she not fired? That's what Presidents do!

In an interview, Michelle (the million dollar vacation FLOTUS) proclaimed that because of Obamanation's efforts -- the recession is over, everybody is working and life is good! Apparently even her $102,000 per year tax payer paid dog handler doesn't complain.

Doesn't that just warm the cockles of your heart?

Four years ago, Mr & Ms Obamanation made a big show of voting and handing over their ballots on election day.  The usual pics that almost every POTUS or POTUS candidate does quadrennially. 

This is my sincere smile dammit, snap the photo!

Funny thing happened on the way to the election this week --- as the polls for Obamanation keep plummeting -- now all of a sudden, the pictures are of Michelle Antoinette voting EARLY and encouraging her tweet followers, "I couldn't wait for Election Day"   Vote now, quick, at once, don't wait for debates, news, and info, run to the nearest early ballot box......

Even BO got into the act:

Minutes later, the president said on Twitter that he was following Mrs. Obama's example and intended to vote early in person in Illinois on Oct. 25 — three days after the final presidential debate. “If your state has early voting, join me,” Obama said on Twitter, directing followers to a link with more information about early voting.

Any of you got any doubts why they are trying to rush voters to the polls..... you reckon their inside pollsters are finding disturbing trends out their in flyover land......????

 

Or maybe Michelle Antoinette is going on another Million dollar vacation to La La Land .....? That would make a nice round 18 vacations this term -- how many have you had?

Smirkin' Joe -- No Brains - All Show!

Now Partners, I ain't gonna pretend that I was ever a Joe Biden fan and that I was surprised by last weeks debate.  Nope, I've seen a hundred Joe Bidens in my life time.... the smiling bullies, the ones who would pat you on the back at a cocktail party and then cut you to ribbons when he's in charge.... or behind your back.

I've watched him sit up on high in the safety of his Senate Judiciary Seat during committee hearings, grinning, smirking, and besmirching folks he ain't qualified to clerk for ... good ole' Joe.

Frankly, I've always thought Joe was a 60 watt bulb in a room full of 100 watt Senators. But unfortunately, the seniority rules of the Senate let him rise WAY above his skill sets. 

Now the Peter Principle has really started to glow.....  I think Sean Hannity said it best last week when he described him at that 'Uncle Joe' he used to see at every wedding party. Starts of looking distinguished and quiet, but then after tipping a few, is laughing to loud, telling risque stories, slapping men on the back and young women on their behinds... but everybody forgives him because after all, he is 'Ole' Uncle Joe'... 

Well, Uncle Joe sure showed his true self last week in that debate......

So I looked elsewhere -- when what to my wondering eyes should appear? But loud mouth Eddie Schultz (of MSNBC) and his claim that Republicans are afraid to come on his show --.......

The poor sick waddle-stick just can't get it through his head that politicians running for public office want more than two people watching a TV  program they appear on. Especially when those only two viewers are Schultz's mother and closest friend.


 

Bless his heart - his Momma probably doesn't even watch. Don't believe they even show his ratings... maybe the meter doesn't move? Or just a pity-party move?

A lot of 'debate' editorial cartoons this week, but this one wins 1st Prize for being on target in this foolish Big Bird vs Benghazi week.....

Timing is everything..... and sometimes repeats itself!

Four years ago, Obamanation won the Nobel Prize, not for anything he had done, but for the things he bragged he was going to do; bring peace to the Muslim world, stifle the Islamist terrorists, save the American taxpayers.  Oh yes, and stop the rising of the oceans.  

Well we certainly saw how that worked out...........

This morning I see these two headlines juxtapositioned on the Blogosphere....  now, I am scratching my ole' head:

 Apparently, the company, Coca-Cola Company is following the huge dairy group, FAGE out of this violent, strife torn country and "in seeking a low-tax, low-volatility haven for its corporate base — in FAGE's case Luxembourg."

It appears those Nobel Prizes make a big impact -- look at the wonders that Obamanation has performed since receiving his........ NOT! (I won't even use the Benghazi word)

Do you reckon that the chump change $1.2 million bucks that come with the piece of tin - will turn the Euro Community around?

I would expect a story like this coming out of Californiay or Taxachusetts...... but Texas? Who'da thunk?

Apparently the day after White Dove season opened in Texas, a Phlugerville, Texas life time resident was sitting on his back porch when a strong, healthy White Dove flew straight into the side of his barn and died of a broken neck.  

A life long hunter and now retired and mostly a blogger, Ryan Adams did what any sane country lad would do.... he cleaned it, grilled it and 'et it.  

But then he made a mistake, and mentioned the process on his Blog. Ooops, here comes the gob'mint in the form of Texas Parks & Wildlife agent who claims that because Mr Ryan didn't shoot the bird, he shouldn't have 'et it. He should'a chucked over the fence.....  Or something.

Self Immolation or wrongly wired suicide vests?

I haven't been able to figure out which of these two end of life experiences the Dimm's and the Obamanation campaign are trying to emulate.

Six weeks ago they were on top of the world - leading in all the polls, the media firmly in their pockets.... everything was going there way - Then the frosting on the cake came when Mitt Romney was officially tapped as the GOP candidate along with that young firebrand Paul Ryan.   Piece of cake --- game, set and match.

Just a matter of waiting until November 4th to make it official - BO could start being more flexible with our antagonists (read Putin and his Muslim relatives) around the world and life would be great - Let the redistribution begin!!!!

But a funny thing has happened along the way.

Yesterday I opened the Drudge Report before I started my daily reading and what do I see?

- Romney/Ryan leading in every poll in the country (except for the unthinking deep blue states of course) including the swing states. 

- Obama campaign managers are calling all of their liberal support bloggers, (Daily Kos, Democratic Underground, Daily Beast, et al,) 'the tin hat crowd'. Well Obama Campaign spokesman actually said: No - We've never casted our lot with the tinfoil hat crowd.  (sic)
He was of course, referring to the Tin Hat Wearing Obama support crowd that has been accusing that rascally Romney of slipping in some note on a handkerchief at that debate debacle.  

I'll bet all of those Dem supporting folks were plumb pleased with that remark!

- DNC Chair Debbie Whasserschitz was loudly protesting that 'Dim leadership releasing false statements is not wrong if their intelligence was false, or missing or something.'

- Stephanie Cutter was being Stephanocchio Cutter -- moving her lips and letting the lies fly!

For a conservative feller like myself -- it was just overwhelming -- and of course, the highlight of the day is yet to come - when the Gaffe meter -- oops, I mean the laugh meter gets plugged in at the Veep debate between Paul Ryan and Joltin' Joe Bite-me!

Who said Liberals don't pray??????????

Folks, when I was an elementary school student - we had two kinds of student 'enforcers'.  Some of us were Crossing Guards and wore our little Green & Silver Sam Brown belts  and ensured that other kids didn't run out in front of cars. 

Others, were deputized and served as Hall Monitors - to make sure other kids wandering through the hallways of junior academia had permission and weren't on some evil mission.

There was a third group, but their responsibilities were limited to erasing the chalkboards and standing outside slapping clouds of chalk out of the erasers at the end of the day. (An act the EPA probably doesn't allow now - in those two schools in the USA that still use chalk and chalkboards)

Speaking of the ever present EPA, those non-elected bureaucrats that seem to pervade every day and every aspect of our life --- are you aware that they are now encouraging a new youth militia in our schools. "Energy Patrols"!!

Apparently their role is to tip toe (or strut) around the school buildings and find out and report folks who leave lights on - windows open - thermostats set too high or too low - and any other green house emission evils.  

It can never happen here!

Thermostat set above 70° in the winter? Below 78° in the summer?  Aha!  Notes are being taken on the issued clipboards of these vest and ID tag wearing midget inspectors!

My grand kids are too old to qualify for such duties - but I wonder if one day soon, one of my cute great grand kids will be taking notes of my household energy use habits when they visit and reporting them to the Gob'mint and the EPA officials in the polished boots and black uniforms?
