Nanny of the Month!!

With local, state and the federal gob'mint electo-nazis and bureauro-rats trying to take over every aspect of our lives -- Reason TV has developed a Nanny State action of the month.... here is their nomination for June, 2012.

What should I think about this.........?

While reading an NBC report (that network famed for it's accuracy in reporting) this morning, I came across this lead paragraph:

"CAIRO – There is a local advertisement in the arrivals hall at Cairo International Airport. The ad shows a picture of Egypt's iconic Tahrir Square, packed during the revolution, with a quote from U.S. President Barack Obama: "We should raise our children to be like Egyptian youth.”

The quote from Obama was shortly after Egyptians had revolted and toppled long-time dictator and American ally Hosni Mubarak."

I don't recall a single Obama - State of the Union Address, or even a weekly Saturday radio speech - when he was encouraging American children to be 'more like Egyptian youth'. Do you?

And if so, what attributes and characteristics should they ape?

Stoning Christians? Beating their wives? Burning Churches? Revolting against the sitting government? Discriminating against women, gays, non-Muslims, rioting in the streets?

I'm stumped -- what do you reckon he meant? The Egyptians are sure proud of him saying it.....

Do you Twitter?

I'll be honest, I don't 'Twitter' and don't pretend to understand the motivation or benefit in communicating in 140 or fewer character bytes...

Having said that - I passed through the Obama-Biden campaign site this morning and discovered that the President of the United States, the current occupant of the Oval Office, the leader of the free world -- sent this twitter to his followers last evening:

Calling a spade - a spade!

Obamanation wanted, and got, a trillion greenbacks ($1,000,000,000,000) for 'shovel ready' projects to stimulate employment and in turn, the economy.

He got the Trillion $$ and bought hisself Gob'mint Motors and sent many of it's jobs to China. He passed the rest among his cronies, union leaders, and backers. Solyndra anyone? Now, three years later, it turns out there were no shovel ready projects. Nor spade ready. Nor trowel ready.

Then he turned the thousands of bureaucrat civil service workers loose to write the thousands of pages of law and regulation necessary for his lap dogs, Pelosi and Reid, to pass a health care bill late Christmas Eve. Oh, excuse me, they didn't pass it, they 'deemed it passed.

"Americans making less than $250,000 per year will NOT have see one dime -- not one dime -- in tax increases!" Spoken by our Dear Leader in the State of the Union, TV interviews, and probably in his pillow talk with Michelle Antoinette between giggles.

So now that we know a 'spade is not a spade' in Liberal Washington speak, and are just now learning when a 'mandate is really a tax'.

The only remaining question -- are we passing through the looking glass into 'Alice's Wonderland' with everything backwards - or George Orwell's 'World of 1984' with gob'mint double speak??

Chief Justice John Roberts...... closet liberal or brilliant?

Now that I've had a couple of hours to get over the shock of the day's events with regard to Obamacare.... I'm feeling much better.

This Chief Justice, who everybody knows is one of the sharpest knives in the drawer, saw four dedicated liberals determined to approve Obamacare. He saw four dedicated constitutional conservatives equally determined to bury it.

If he sides with the Lib's the bill becomes the law of the land.... if he sides with the Right -- the court get's pilloried much like it did during the Renquist 'Bush-Gore' years. So, statesman that he is, what does he do?

He agrees to vote with the Libs as long as they'll let him argue that the law should be passed on the basis of a tax law - but NOT allowed by the Interstate Commerce Clause. The wise Latina and the other three liberal knee jerkers jump at the chance to win! Viola!! They win!

But did they? And did Obamanation? Let's see now, he stood in the well of the House giving his state of the union message and repeated (ala GHW Bush) NO NEW TAXES, not one dime increase on anybody making less than $250K per year.

But but, Sir, the court just decided that Obamacare is a tax increase, not a gob'mint mandate (which would be illegal).

Hmmm Hmmm Is there an election coming up in four months?

Did I hear that Speaker Boehner has already scheduled a Repeal Vote to make all the members of the House go on record before the election?

Hmm, I don't think Mrs Roberts little boy is unaware of the results of this Court finding... do you?

A lesson in irony..............

The Food Stamp Program, administered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, is proud to be distributing the greatest amount of free meals and food stamps ever, to 46 million people.

Meanwhile, the National Park Service, administered by the U.S. Department of the Interior, asks us "Please Do Not Feed the Animals." Their stated reason for the policy is because the animals will grow dependent on handouts and will not learn to take care of themselves.

This ends today's lesson.

(Thanx and a Tip O' the Stetson to fellow retired Vet, Bill, in Hephzibah, GA)

While I gather my thoughts, and reach for the Kool-Aid......

I'll share a quote from that statesman like person who is the Executive Director of the Democrat National Committee (DNC) in his first Twitter this morning after THE decision was announced:

"'it's constitutional. Bitches.'"
Patrick Gaspard, Executive Director, DNC

Who is the most powerful man in the United States of America?

That's your question for today, Pilgrims. I'll share my opinion in a minute, but think about the possibilities.... Obamanation hisself? Holder? Maybe Panetta over at DOD?

How about Speaker of the House Boehner? Even dingy little Harry Reid, the Senate Majority leader.

In the media, it might be Chris Matthews, but I doubt if the only two people who watch him regularly would agree....... right Mr & Mrs Matthews? In entertainment it used to be Oprah, but unfortunately her power went down the toilet with her ratings after her 2008 presidential endorsement (which I note is lacking this year). Sean Penn? Maybe in Venezuela, but not here.

No friends..... I submit the most powerful man in America today sits on the Supreme Court...... and not at the head of the table -- nope, not Chief Justice John Roberts!

The most powerful man in America is Associate Justice Anthony Kennedy!

Think about it, each day for nine months a year, Justice Kennedy decides the fate of this nation by which side of the bed he rolls out of. With the Court evenly tied between four lock step, unthinking, left wing liberal robots and four lock step, right wing constitutionalist justices - the Ninth Justice rules the roost.

Does he climb out of bed on the left side and vote with Sotomayor, Kagan, Ginsburg and Breyer --- or does he swing out of bed on the right side and vote with Alito, Roberts, Thomas and Scalia?

On most issues, their votes are a given -- predictable: one side admits that they see the constitution as old and outdated and subject to modern changing interpretation in accordance with the best of modern European traditions... and the others read the case presented - refer to the Constitution of the United States which they took an oath to support and protect (along with those others) and vote accordingly.

My, My - what power. The fate of the nation rests in the hands of a 'moderate' California lawyer who rose from the ranks of the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.

How scary is that? Do you really think that our brilliant forefathers ever saw this turn of events? (BTW, he's the second from the right, seated next to Ginsburg. Picture doesn't show his scepter and crown - does it???)

Speaking of body language - does Ruthie Ginsburg look like she even wants to be associated with this group?

I don't know why the Dim's are so concerned......

..... about being short of money for their convention in Charlotte this September. Everyday I read about another Congressman or Senator who has developed 'scheduling conflicts' and won't be able to attend Obamanation's coronation.

Isn't amazing, this convention date has been scheduled for four years -- and all of a sudden, these scheduling conflicts are raising their pointy little heads.

How much could it cost to host a political convention in a telephone booth anyway?

Well, well, we had a little equipment failure yesterday - my modem did a half gainer, if it had taken a full dive I could have identified the problem and replaced it quicker...

All's well now............. (knocking on pressed sawdust - that is as close to wood as we get in the 21st Century) . and I can try to catch up with all the stirring events in the DC Beltway Swamp....

Glad to be back.....

And you don't even get kissed ......

.... when the welfare momma's ***** you.

$80,000,000,0000 (Billion) dollars worth of food stamp money is doled out and spent every year - and your gob'mint says it ain't any of your bid'ness what it's spent on, where it's spent, who's trade them for money! No! Just ain't your bid'ness. You just pay your taxes, keep feeding your family with hamburger helper and chicken, and let those lobster and steak eating good folks alone! Or maybe Big Macs, and Ding Dongs..

The Mayor of New York cares about how large that cup of soda is that you paid hard earned cash money for --- but neither he, nor your state gob'mint nor the Feds care what folks buy with those SNAP gob'mint issued credit cards.

Want to know what else they don't wanna know? They don't wanna know if that little corner store with one old man clerk and no aisles is doing $4 million in SNAP 'sales' every year.... And your congressman just keeps voting to renew the program with no questions asked. What's in his wallet???

Take that sucka!!!

Click here to go to the Washington Examiner's story of frustration but don't sit near anything you can throw at this monitor screen!

Ho Hum - just another quiet summer's week in Washington ... Yawn.....

It's the last week of the Supreme's 2011/2012 session - so finally -- they will release the vote they took months ago regarding Obamanation's Health Care Extortion Bill and the Justice Department's (read Eric Holder) lawsuit against the Sovereign (?) State of Arizona for enforcing the immigration laws that the Feds refuse to enforce.

At the same time, over in the do nothing Capital Building on the other end of Pennsylvania Avenue -- the congress has let another year of three day work weeks slip by and pressure build to to the point where they only have a week to create, vote on, and forward to the One, a renewed federal highway bill... of course it's only a matter of $109 BILLION dollars - so why spend much time on it... why not use it for political leverage instead, 'eh guys?

Oh Yeah, that same seven day window is staring them in the face regarding the interest rate on those billions of dollars of student loans outstanding! Does the rate double next week, July 1st, or remain the same? With tens of thousands of unemployed Sociology and Musical History grads out there in Mickey D stands across the country waiting - Congress has to do something....

So, our Dear Leader is struggling to help them 'just get along' and come to some agreements. No? What's that you say -- he's stirring the pot and threatening vetoes on almost anything they agree to unless it raises taxes and borrows money? Say it ain't so......

And these 535 elected reps and 1 elected community organizer are the best this Nation of 300 million free men and women can come up with? No wonder Abraham Lincoln famously sits in that chair with his head in his hands.

The last great hope for mankind....... morphing into the ruins of Greece and Rome.... in the 21st Century..... I overstate the case you say --- go to the internet anywhere and look at the pictures of the President's White House Gay Pride party last week with everybody 'flipping off' the pictures of Presidents past. Four more years of this slide and we'll probably have Calves gilded with gold to offer our prayers to.

That patient Russian sitting in the leader's chair in Moscow waiting for revenge since Reagan broke the back of the Soviet Union, and the even more patient Islamic Extremist Clerics who have been waiting for generations, must be quietly getting out the silver chalices for toasts.....

But then, His BO'ness did get in his 101st round of golf this week.....

The evil Mr Snidely of fiction fame ..... lives among us...

...... and is employed by that monument to 'fair & balanced' news reporting, NBC via MSNBC.

LinkBy now you and everybody else that isn't sniffing glue in this country has seen replays of Lawrence O'Donnell's snide report on the fact that Mrs. Ann Romney, mother, grandmother, and Multiple sclerosis (MS) patient, owns and rides horses. My My!! How evil can she get?

Everybody should hate her -- she owns and rides horses! A side benefit is the treatment that riding does for her MS. But not to let that get in his way, Snide Larry just sneers with contempt as he tries to anger the American voter who doesn't happen to be rich and own horses.

In his report, with ham emoting of the two bit actor that he is -- obviously not a newsman or journalist -- he somehow forgets to mention that he is paid literally MILLION$ each year to mouth this class warfare baiting drivel. I think it's like Obamanation's job stimulus, O'Donnell gets a million per viewer. He has been heard to say in an interview once that he wears $88 socks..... Yes $88 socks!!! Don't you just hate him! My God $88 socks..... my trousers don't cost that much.

I wonder how much he writes off for them when they get a hole in the toe and he donates them to good will??? Bubba Clinton used to list $2 bucks for his old underwear shorts..... BTW, I reckoned I ought to show his picture in case you ain't one of his two regular viewers and din't know him... I couldn't place it any Lefter or Lower than this......

Would someone please call Attorney General Holder and his people....

The word is out!! Obamanation demands Photo ID for Rally Entrances!!

At a recent Obama rally in Ohio, prospective attendees were told to brandish their photo IDs if they expected admittance to the rally. No word yet on whether Attorney General Eric Holder plans to file suit against the Obama campaign for infringing upon Ohioans' right of peaceful assembly by way of a racist photo ID rule.

Jessica Kershaw, the Obama campaign's Ohio Press Secretary, confirmed in a statement to BuzzFeed that the campaign checked every supporter's identification at the door.

"We checked every ID at the door to make sure it matched with the name on the ticket that supporters filled out," she said. "We did this for every person who came in."

Since President Obama sides with Holder in thinking it's Racist™ for states to require photo identification to vote, he must be apoplectic at himself for discriminating against those who don't get state-issued photo IDs. By asking for rally-goers to provide photo ID before entry, the Obama campaign is silently sanctioning the effectiveness of photo identification.

What makes a rally different from voter integrity? What makes buying cigarettes, alcohol, renting a car, a hotel room, cashing a check, opening a bank account, membership at the Y, buying cold medicine, or entering a club any different? You check photo identification to protect the thing which such an exchange accesses and to confirm that you are the age you claim. Is a person's vote less unworthy of protection than buying Sudafed -- or attending an Obama rally?

Click here for whole story - but click on your copy of the Constitution for the rest of the story as you try to board a plane, cash a check, or borrow a book from your local library!!!!!

Some effort went into this, least I could do is share it! Right Charlie Brown??

Had a paranoid thought this morning.... duh....

Are the twelve million 'illegal aliens' residing in the United States allowed (not permitted but allowed) to reside here to provide the political equivalent for our politicians of both parties - that the Palestinian population in the Middle East provides the Arab and the Jewish politicians?

A group of folks used every four years as a political weapon against the other party, while at the same time, keeping all the eyes of the American sheeple off the real ball..... the state of our economy, unemployment, our deteriorating infrastructure and the growing size of our government?

I'll do some serious cogitating on this and maybe a little homework - I'll get back to you - but meantime.... why don't y'all think on it too!

Keep in mind, I'm not saying that Obamanation and Romney (or their people) sit down at the table together and figure out how to use this huge problem as a political pawn - but on the other hand, I don't see either party much interested in solving the problem or even closing the spigot along our Southern border.... do you?

The most arrogant man in the world..... needs no introduction...

Can't you just feel the LOVE every time he steps up to a microphone?

Definition of ARROGANCE
: an attitude of superiority manifested in an overbearing manner or in presumptuous claims or assumptions

FORWARD????

The smartest man on the planet, the 'One' -- is beginning to look more and more like the farmer watching his chickens come home to roost.... all at one time.

Big quadrennial convention coronation coming up in September in North Carolina:

- In a state with a Dem sex scandal
- In a city without unions
- In a stadium named Bank of America
- In the absence of delegates who are hiding
- In the face of a contempt of congress citation
- In the presence of a Supreme Court decision nullifying the only major bill of his first term
- And with the ghost of Brian Terry reflected in his mirrors and teleprompters

What could go wrong?????

Hopefully the styrofoam Greek pillars He so loves, will prove to be stronger than the Greek gob'mint and his other Euro solutions....

Man bites dog? Bank bites bureaucrats?

Finally, FINALLY, someone is striking back at the unGodly Dodd-Frank Reform & 'Take over the country' act....

And it took a little ole' National Bank of Big Spring Texas, with a city population of just 25,000 good Texans, to bring the first lawsuit to the bench of the U.S. District Court. The suit challenges the constitutionality of the Act.

The Competitive Enterprise Institute and the 60 Plus Association (a young new hard charging association of seasoned citizens that was formed when AARP was co-opted by Obamanation's cabal on Health Care) have joined the Bank in this law suit.

“No other federal agency or commission operates in such a way that one person can essentially determine who gets a home loan, who can get a credit card and who can get a loan for college,” said Jim Purcell, CEO of State National Bank. “Dodd-Frank effectively gives unlimited regulatory power to this so-called Consumer Financial Protection Board, also known as CFPB, with a director who is not accountable to Congress, the President or the Courts. That is simply unconstitutional.” …

There is a lot of this going around lately, and not all of it in Washington!!!!

Quick quiz: What is a Progressive Politician’s favorite form of energy?

A. Cold Fusion
B. Pixie Dust
C. Unicorn Farts
D. Cellulosic Biofuel
E. All of the Above

Careful. It’s kind of a trick question. Answer below the fold.

For the answer to that question up there, click here, and go to Steve Maley's article for the rest of the facts....

Don't get mad -- get even!!! It's a screwed up world there inside that Washington Beltway --- Alice didn't know the half of it!!

Keep Movin' Folks, nothing here to see....

This game that the Administration has been playing these last three years used to be called 'the old shell game' when I was a tad. Try to keep your eye on the pea as the man shuffled the shells around... No matter how hard you concentrate - - you lose.

For the past two years, we have had one flag after another to keep our eyes off of the Pea in this country -- the Pea being the failed economy, the rising unemployment numbers, the dropping housing values, the mismanaged foreign affairs programs, the loss of control of our borders, the losing drug war, and on and on.

So now, with an election coming up, and even the deepest former supporters of Obamanation zipping up their wallets, the polls dropping, the POTUS decides to stonewall Congress on the equally failed and in fact, deadly - Fast & Furious DOJ/ATF scandal.

While many say that he exercised his right of Executive Privilege yesterday simply because he was read into the program and wants that kept silent... and I don't disagree --- I also think this is just one more red herring thrown across our path to keep our attention off all those conditions I mentioned above.

I reckon he'd rather have us focused on whether he knew about gun running to the Mexicans than notice that our neighbors aren't working, Gob'mint Motors is moving their jobs to China, and our former great country is turning into a socialist state ready to follow Greece down the toilet.

Why do you suppose he took this broad step? If you can name one National benefit of this latest constitutional face-off, I'd be plumb pleased if you'd share it in a comment........

About all those 'shovel ready' American jobs....

No one would ever accuse ABC News of being some right wing, biased, anti-Obamanation TV broadcast outfit... to the contrary, they join NBC and CBS as Obama apologists.. but sometimes even they are forced to admit the obvious. I offer the following video without comment:

Those 'cans' that they been kickin' down the street are gonna stop rolling during this coming Lame Duck Congressional session.........

After the smoke clears on Wednesday morning, November 7th, and we know (hopefully) which party will be leading Congress and occupying the White House effective 21 January of next year.... the Lame Duck Congress and current President are facing monumental questions that MUST be settled.

But will they?? -- the Dems are holding all major bills hostage to increasing revenue - read: raising taxes. The GOP is holding all major bills hostage to cutting gob'mint spending = read: reducing size of gob'mint and reducing entitlements. Here are just a few of the major questions that CANNOT be put off:

  • Expiration of the Bush tax cuts,
  • Increasing the debt ceiling,
  • Expiration of the temporary payroll tax relief holiday,
  • Expiration of the annual "tax extenders" break,
  • Transportation and farm bill reauthorizations,
  • Medicare "Doc Fix,"
  • Fiscal 2013 appropriations bills, and
  • Sequestration.
They are all major bills for a lame duck congress to face (their own fault) but that last innocent looking little euphemism, 'sequestration' is the killer..... I don't have enough space in this little space to discuss it, Atomic Bomb though it might be... but will link you to a couple of succinct articles that may help.

Hope you take the time to check 'em out, because come November -- the Duck's is gonna be squawking big time --- and you'll be the only guys on the block who know why!

Click here for AOL Defense article on sequestration.

Click here for The Hill Blog - Perils of sequestration.

Or Google 'sequestration', of course.

Oh my! OH My!! OH MY!!!

When a sitting president becomes SO TOXIC that the sitting Governor, Senator, and Representative from the same Democrat party have declined to attend the quadrennial Dem Convention in September to re-nominate said sitting president .... how big a message is that?

Those opting out of appearing at the gathering of Democrats from across the country to officially re-nominate Obama for president include Sen. Joe Manchin, Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin and Rep. Nick Rahall, all of West 'By God' Virginia.

“I intend to spend this fall focused on the people of West Virginia, whether that’s representing them in my official U.S. Senate duties or here at home, where I can hear about their concerns and ideas to solve the problems of this great nation,” Manchin said in a statement.

Manchin is running for re-election and has been trying to distance himself from Obama in a state where the president is deeply unpopular.

Under pressure from Republicans trying to tie him to Obama, Manchin has refused to commit to voting for Obama in 2012.

I don't recall this EVER happening before, do y'all?

My high hopes dashed.... for Biden Jr.....

Young Beau Biden seemed so unlike his infamous Dad. He didn't dodge the draft through five deferments before he discovered he had asthma as a child, he served his time in uniform in an all volunteer force (even if it was as a REMF lawyer) and he apparently is doing a fairly good job in Delaware in his state attorney general seat.

However, genes will out, I reckon.

Beau Biden, the son of the Democratic vice president, went "off script," as he called it, to fire a shot a Republican Mitt Romney but hit North Carolina Dim Gov. Bev Perdue at the same time.

At the N.C. Democratic Party's annual fundraising dinner, Biden mentioned that Romney didn't seek a second term as Massachusetts governor, suggesting his failed economic policies hurt him. "I've never met a successful politician who didn't run again," said Biden, the Delaware attorney general.

The crowd collectively groaned. Biden's line sounded similar to what Republicans say about another governor who isn't seeking re-election: the Dem's convention hostess, North Carolina Democrat Governor Bev Perdue.

I hope Joe's Beau doesn't wear a size 12 EEE shoe!! It will be hard to remove.

Father's Day Read......

For a good Father's Day gift and a fun fiction read - I naturally recommend "The Judge...Is Not The Jury" by Will Chapman.... (Google it or click here) A modern Texas crime story - with a whole lotta - widowed Air Force Dad - twin sons relationship involved

But for a great non-fiction read for Dad, I recommend Edward Klein's new book on Barack Obama, "The Amateur: Barack Obama in the White House".

I find it fascinating (but not surprising) that Klein, the author, despite being on the NY Times non-fiction best seller list for four weeks, has not been reviewed in the Times, nor interviewed on NBC, ABC, CBS, CNN, or that fairly imbalanced MSNBC!

What a surprise!

For a full and eye-opening preview of the book, click here to go to American Thinker and read Ed Lasky's column. If it doesn't move you to action - you ain't got a political bone in your body!!

Happy Fathers Day to all you Dads out there!

Key To The City in order, perhaps? Or an essay: "What I did on my vacation!"

Gus Hertz, from Roanoke Va, was vacationing in St Petersburg Florida this week. Just a quiet week away from the daily routine.....

Oh, BTW, on Wednesday, he helped save a driver who drove his BMW off the Pinella Bayway Bridge and submerged into the water. Hertz saw the accident from his condo window......

Oh yeah, then on Thursday, while out fishing in his boat, he spotted an ultra-light aircraft spin in to the water and was able to motor to them in time to pull the 74 year old pilot to safety, as well as his 55 year old passenger, Gina, to safety as well.

Two days, two heroic saves...three lives! Roanoke is gonna be pretty boring when he gets home.

Here's a link to the whole story.

No Lifeguard? Close beach, says family of drowned teenager.

Apparently an unfortunate Minneapolis 16 year old girl drowned this last Sunday afternoon while swimming with a couple of friends at a unguarded public beach. I'll link you to the rest of the story in a minute, but first my point.

Her family is now screaming for all public beaches to be closed unless there is an official, professional life guard on duty. Taking that to the 'nth degree, why not demand all swimming pools, hot tubs, and water ways be patrolled by law enforcement officers to ensure that nobody is swimming or sitting in them absent an official life guard.

I am told that Minnesota has over 4,500 lakes and waterways alone -- not counting those swimming pools..... that would solve the unemployment problem wouldn't it?

Bad things happen, accidents happen, people fall out of bed and break their neck, they slip in the bathtub and drown. Where does Bloomberg's nanny state begin and where does personal responsibility begin.

Here's a thought -- let's ban all water -- I can state for a fact that every person that touches, swims in, drinks, or bathes in water will die someday. It's a 100% fact!!

Oh yeah, I promised to link you to the Twin Cities StarTribune article.

What's in a word???

I was reading the comments of some of those who passed by to view one of Glenn McCoy's editorial cartoons. I thought the cartoon was on the mark (see to the left) because it pointed out the bias of the press, the predicament of the public and the answer to the question; "Where do all these favorable polls about Obamanation come from?" all in one cartoon.

But then as I read the comments I came across one that said simply: "Obama is ineffable."

Several following commenters had choice words aimed at he who wrote that.

For me, 'ineffable' had always meant indescribable, as in indescribably beautiful, or incapable of being expressed, beyond words. Using Obama and ineffable in the same sentence seemed like the oxymoron of all oxymorons...

Fortunately, with the world at my fingertips, I surfed 'ineffable' and found 'unspeakable', as in ineffable disgust. And then, 'insufferable', 'ineffectual' and 'indefinable'.

Then I relaxed.... and smiled.

Ramirez nails it again.................

Heads should roll..........

HBO has a new series called 'Game of Thrones'. Okay, so what?

In one episode they displayed a decapitated head on top of a pole. Okay, so what?

Of the three billion people on this planet, HBO decided that the decapitated head stuck on the top of the pike should be that of former President George W Bush.
That's what!!

I have cancelled my HBO connect - some how their excuse about "inadvertent careless mistake" a little too much of a stretch to believe.

Dear God, when does November 6th come this year?

It ain't bad enough that Obamanation 'stacked' the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) with questionable 'recess' appointments. Union members and supporters all!

Now that self same group in unilaterally taking it upon itself to invent (create, paint, dream-up - choose your word) a whole 'nuther animal called 'MICRO-UNIONS'!!

What is a 'micro-union' you ask? Picture a department store full of happy workers, but with Al Bundy in the shoe department, or Roseanne Barr in the Deli!!! They aren't happy in their work -- they can't convince the happy employees to be unhappy....... so --- in their own little mini-department, they form a "Micro-union" for shoe salesmen or Deli workers only, and only in that store ---

As I understand it, the store management would then have to deal with them like they were the UAW local or the AFL-CIO itself........ like private bid'nesses ain't got enough gob'mint regulation and expenses on their backs....

Give me a break.... here is a short video .... and a link to an article about this latest 'obamation' from our Chicagoland Gangsta!

Hang 'er high!!

Today is Flag Day!!

On this date in 1777, by resolution of the Second Continental Congress adopted this as the flag of the USA....

This picture is of the house in Philly that Betsy Ross lived in when she stitched the first Old Glory.

There is some dispute about the home -- but not from me. Bless her heart!!

Private sector is doing fine.....

I know you folks have seen this picture and story tooooooo often..... but like Lawrence Welk used to say ....

A one,
and A two
and A one more time!!!!

What does VISA and AMEXCO know that the US Gob'mint & IRS doesn't know???

She loses her Visa card and blows her cover on her alleged TWO MILLION dollar tax fraud!! ($2,000,000)

If Krystle Marie Reyes had been a little more organized, she might've gotten away with it. The 25-year-old Oregon woman's multimillion-dollar tax scam wasn't discovered until she reportedly lost not one but two prepaid Visa cards that held her fraudulent $2.1 million (!!!) refund. Reyes used TurboTax software to claim a fake $3 million in income on her tax return, scoring the eye-popping refund in the process. She'd already blown $200,000 before she was busted in what's believed to be the "largest case of fraud in the state." Reyes is currently in jail, and the Oregon Department of Revenue is scrambling to answer countless questions as to how this happened. The early answer? Human error. If I make an unusual major purchase - or an out of state purchase, VISA or AMEXCO automatically make me confirm who I am and what I am doing....

How can a twenty-five year old dolt, fill out a $3 Million tax form and it not be questioned. Maybe it's time to 'outsource' the US Treasury to Visa or Amexco? And this is just one of thousands of such scams every year, I am told!

A stake is good, but a silver bullet would be a nice safe coup de gras.....

Marco Rubio ---- SI? ..... SI !!!

It's time for the quadrennial "Choose Your Partner" dance to start in the presidential election race. This year, we already know all of them on the long list, and can pretty well guess about the names on the short list.....

At the CPAC Convention in Chicago this week, the straw poll winner by 20 lengths was Florida's Senator Marco Rubio. Not even close, he drew more than twice as many votes as the number two man.

It got me to thinking, with all the MSM pundits and Dim spokes folks disdainful of him as Veep choice... what is the message? Kinda like that ole' Brer' Rabbit and the Briar Patch parable, ain't it.

Let's see now, He's very conservative, very articulate, a great debater, an experienced legislator at the State and Federal level, he dresses well, and he has a great American family story. What's not to like? Oh, now it comes to me ..... he is also young, intelligent and has a great (and long) future in American Republican party politics. hmmm...

How many Americans are aware that he was first elected to the Florida House of Representatives in 2000 and just six years later - was elected by his peers, fellow Representatives and ambitious politicians in their own right --- as Speaker of the House. What does that tell you? Six years!!

If Mitt Romney gets elected and does even a halfway decent job (which would be ten times better than we are now getting) and serves the full eight years of two terms.... when he is term limited out, it will be 2021 and Marco Rubio will be in his prime at exactly fifty years old..... experienced and well vetted by the voters of the United States. At least seventy-five million of whom are expected to be Hispanic in 2020!

Hey, I din't bring race into this equation -- how many times have we heard '1st black president' shouted in the last four years. Well then - what's wrong with crowing about the '1st Hispanic president' of these United States. Like is so often said -- many of their ancestors were here before the rest of us came sailing in to Plymouth!!

Like the old saying goes, 'Ya takes yer choice and ya lays down yer money!'. I'll put my pile of chips on the Marco Rubio square today Pilgrims. Let's hope that Romney's country club friends don't convince him that we need another ruling elite class member as Veep!

I may not be around to see it, but Sixteen year of conservative Republicans in the White House might just help this great country survive and make it through the 21st century.

A man, even a common man, has to look his best when meeting all those rich Hollywoodies...

What goes around..... comes around........ again!!

California, the land of flakes and progressive nuts, passed yet another flaky, nutty election Bill last year.

Simply stated: Primaries shall be open - not by parties. Thus, ergo, and hence - when a Primary election is conducted, the top two vote getters, regardless of party affiliation, shall compete in the run-off election.

In California's 31st Congressional District - a predominately Democratic district - because of the split vote among the four Democrats in the primary election - two Republicans ended up receiving the highest and second highest number of votes.

Thus, by the law of the land, they shall be the only two candidates on the Ballot in November - guaranteeing that a GOP Congressman will win this former Dim's solid seat.

Ain't life and politics funny. And in Nancy Pelosi's back yard too!

Hmm, maybe instead of the title that I used above, I should have labeled this, "The Law of Unintended Consequences - Again!!"
