We can tighten our belts a little now - and put away our Chinese Bank credit card -- or we can face this in the near future. Some have tried, but look at how they are pillorying Governor Walker in Wisconsin... all of these unions, politicians and advocate groups have no sense of tomorrow, all they have is a 'hand full of gimme's and mouth full of I wants' ............. and an attitude of screw the kids and their kids.... let the good times roll......

An American hero -- you'll probably never hear of...

While our media trumpet the mistakes, errors and yes, the evils that our troops do - they rarely mention the good guys, the heroes that risk their lives every day in the 'office'.. Here is such a story this week:

His name is Dennis Weichel, his rank was 'Specialist' last week, this week he was posthumously promoted to Sergeant.

According to the Rhode Island National Guard and the U.S. Army, Weichel was in a convoy a week ago with his unit in Laghman Province, in northeast Afghanistan. Some children were in the road in front of the convoy, and Weichel and other troops got out to move them out of the way.

Most of the children moved, but one little girl went back to pick up some brass shell casings in the road. Afghan civilians often recycle the casings, and the girl appeared to aim to do that.

But a Mine-Resistant Ambush-Protected vehicle was moving toward her, according to Lt. Col. Denis Riel of the Rhode Island National Guard. MRAPs, as they are known, usually weigh more than 16 tons. Weichel saw the massive truck bearing down on the girl and grabbed her out of the way. But in the process, the armored truck ran him over, Riel said. The little girl is fine. Weichel died a short time later of his injuries.

“He was a big kid at heart. He always had a smile on his face, and he made everyone laugh,” 1st Sgt. Nicky Peppe, who served with Weichel in Iraq, is quoted as saying in an Army story. “But as much as Weichel was funny, he was also a professional. When it was time to go outside the wire for a combat patrol, he was all business.”

Rhode Island Gov. Lincoln Chafee has ordered flags in the state lowered to half-staff until Weichel, who was posthumously promoted to sergeant, is laid to rest Monday. Weichel is survived by his parents, his fiancee and three children. His family will be awarded a Bronze Star and other awards for his sacrifice.

Bad news: The IRS commissioner, Digger .... oops 'scuse me, Dougie Shulman testified before Congress that he needed 4,000 new agents and and additional $303,000,000 (million) dollars to build a system to oversee Obamacare........

The Good news: Yestiddy -- the House of the Congress of United States defeated Obamanation's proposed annual budget by a margin of .................. 414 - 0 !! Yep, not even one yellow dog, leash trained, suck-up Democrat voted for it - much less any Republican that hoped to get re-elected this fall.

Oh, in case you wondered, BO's Budget was to spend $3,600,000,000,000 (Trillion) bucks..... or mostly Chinese Yuan, I reckon......

I received an e-mail from Madiline Albright overnight......

... in it she solicited three bucks on behalf of the DCCC, to help fight the evil Republicans who are trying to prevent her and her 'good friend Nancy Pelosi' from exercising their God given reproductive rights as women.

I replied that I couldn't spare the $3.00 just now but if she and Nancy would strip and look in their bathroom full length mirrors, they could probably figure out that it isn't the GOP that's holding them back from getting pregnant!

Yep, that's right! The American G.I.'s favorite galfriend, Jane Fonda will be getting paid to play the role of the patriotic and loyal wife of one of America's all time popular Presidents....

Only in Hollywood! She'll probably get her Oscar handed to her by Meryl Streep, who they picked to play Maggie Thatcher.

You have to wonder if those Hollywood elitists are really that insensitive to American feeling or just hate America and the American way that much........?

I have just watched a new two minute commercial that Martin Sheen has hammed up for Obamanation and the DNC.

Hopefully he doesn't think that Mr & Mrs America will be swayed by this Hollywoody millionaire that disowned his heritage, never worked at a rea; kpb or even raised his kids -- believe the lies and half truths they wrote for him to lip sync......

A flashback in time.............

As I saw this Obamanation Tee Shirt being offered for sale on the Obama re-election campaign site this weekend...... I had a flashback.

But before I get to that -- let me point out that BO and his no class Chicagoland gangsta buddies aren't the only ones guilty of denigrating our society as of late.

Is the use of "WTF" any different than spelling it out? Is newspaper and TV's new use of the word 'f**k' instead of the 'expletive deleted' that we had seen for years any different than printing the word out itself?

IMHO, Pilgrims -- no! It's not a bit different, any more that being cute with the 'C' word or the "N" word is... Or spelling them out with a couple of asterisks.. It's sensationalism and yellow journalism at it's worst!

Now as far as Obamanation using that profane Tee shirt's 'BFD' to raise money --- I can only replay what I flashed back to when I first saw it...........

'Wait & See' - works better than 'lynching mobs' of any ilk...

As the race hustlers like Sharpton, the agitators like the Black Panthers, et al., descend on Orlando Florida to make sure they don't miss out on a chance to wail and rant in front of a microphone, the investigation moves slowly on. Like a life raft in a swirling whirlpool of hate, hate mongering, race baiting and worse - the investigation moves slowly on.

Yours truly decided early on that I wasn't going to jump into this until we knew some facts. At the beginning all we knew was that a young black man had been shot by a Peruvian-American, self appointed neighborhood watch captain. Of course the media headlines read, 'innocent black child on his way home from candy store shot to death by white man'.

Typical 21st Century unbiased reporting -- NOT!

Too much news, too few facts. I note this morning that the police had an eye-witness statement from day one, that this witness seems to reflect self-defense. But unlike the charlatans, the police are not waving this fact on the front page. One TV station now reports;

"A witness we haven't heard from before paints a much different picture than we've seen so far of what happened the night 17-year-old Trayvon Martin was shot and killed.

The night of that shooting, police say there was a witness who saw it all."

Hopefully, the cooler heads will prevail, the slow wheels of justice will grind and guilt or innocence will be determined by a Grand Jury and/or a jury of his peers. Not by a screaming headline selling media, nor by a screaming headline seeking bunch of race baiters.....

Now, if we only had a mature, responsible occupant in the Oval Office whose resume` as a community organizer knee jerks his responses into these local matters... instead of allowing him to act in a presidential, thinking manner.

The late, great Paul Harvey has a segment in which he would share a 'rest of the story' tidbit which appropriately closed out some famous or infamous story that we had heard days, weeks or months before.

This could be one of those stories...

Remember all the banner headlines regarding the poor little four-year-old who was sent to school with only a turkey & cheese sandwich, some potato chips and a boxed apple drink for her lunch? Then the evil federal site 'brown bag' inspector declared it unfit and sentenced the child to eat school issued chicken nuggets (aka - pink goo meat) for her lunch......

Well, apparently there was no Fed inspector - just an overzealous kindergarten teacher who's food Nazi armband had slipped. And who, btw, is now currently looking for work in new school district.

Here then..... is 'The Rest of the Story' that you won't read in your local newspaper or see on your evening news.....

Poor ole' Fox News, the MSM & the White House beat up on it and badmouth it every day.....

"If they are going to be a little different, we might as well stay with what we have instead of adding a risk of what may be the Etch A Sketch candidate for the future."

Say what? We'd be better off with Obamanation than Romney or some other Republican besides Santorum??

Hells Bells, we'd be better off with the Republican hotel porter where Santorum spoke than with four more years of a lame duck, unfettered BO & Biden cabal!

But in our opinion, the problem for many newspapers wasn't that the Internet could deliver news more quickly...it's that the Internet showed many people that they weren't really receiving "news" at all.

Instead, there was left-leaning propaganda picked up from the New York Times, the AP, Reuters, and - especially - the Whitehouse. And because many newspapers didn't want to write anything bad about Barack Obama (as they had about George Bush), they found that they didn't really have anything left to write about. What has happened to the newspapers is exactly the same thing that happened to the broadcast news services...... when folks could finally get the real news, and ALL the news, on the cable networks, they just stopped tuning in. With Oval Office shills like Brian Williams and Diane (Drama Queen) Sawyer playing the role of news readers.... it became a half hour each day that we choose not to waste. We were forced to listen to Cronkite's and Jennings (RIP) leftist reporting, but that's no longer the case!

Paraphrasing the FLOTUS, For the first time in years, I think I'm able to be proud of the GOP nominee this year...

I haven't run a complete Ann Coulter column in quite some time. Not because she strayed too far, but because in this GOP primary season, she seemed to be a little hysterical (ooops, that a code word for misogynists isn't it) in her support for Romney..

But now that they are coming around the far turn and headed down the home stretch - I reckon it's time to see which horse has the blood lines to stretch out for the win. Annie has all her money on Romney's patrician nose --- I'm beginning to agree with some of her logic!

Any Republican governor of a blue state who manages to balance the budget without raising taxes should be a nominee for Mount Rushmore, to say nothing of president.Mitt Romney was governor of a state so blue, it's North Korea with more Irish people, and he balanced the budget without raising taxes.

Even Ronald Reagan raised taxes as governor of California, imposing a $1 billion tax increase his first year in office. It was the largest tax hike by a governor in the nation's history, raising income, corporate, sales and inheritance taxes. Five years later, Reagan raised taxes again by another $1.5 billion.To be fair, unlike liberals, he also provided tax rebates that, over his tenure in office, totaled $5.7 billion, including $4 billion in property tax rebates.

But even Reagan didn't stop the growth of state government: While he was governor of California, the budget increased from $4.6 billion to $10.2 billion. Republicans are able to contextualize Reagan's record -– it was California! -- but seem unable to contextualize Mitt Romney's record, even though he had to govern a state far more liberal than California was half a century ago.

When Reagan was governor, the California Assembly was majority Democrat, but the Senate was evenly split between Republicans and Democrats.Gov. Romney had to contend with a 200-person state Legislature that included only 29 Republicans.As Reagan tax guru Arthur Laffer has admitted, Reagan's specialty was cutting taxes, not spending. Reagan, he said, found "it hard to say no" and cutting spending is a "green-eyeshade budget thing," that requires poring over budgets, whereas cutting taxes can be done in the abstract.

Romney is a green-eyeshade guy.Like Reagan, Romney inherited a huge, Democrat-created budget deficit. The existing Massachusetts deficit was already more than half a billion dollars when Romney took office halfway through a fiscal year, with a projected deficit of $3 billion for the following fiscal year.And yet, Romney balanced Massachusetts' budget each year he was in office and left the state with a surplus, without raising taxes.

To the contrary, every single budget Romney submitted included income tax cuts -- all of which were rejected by the 85-percent Democratic Legislature. (The last time Massachusetts legislators approved an income tax cut was when it was attached to a bill raising their own salaries by 55 percent.)Romney balanced the budget by slashing spending, eliminating ridiculous corporate tax loopholes and increasing user fees for government services consumed by only some citizens, such as court filings, taking the bar exam, boating, hunting and golf licenses.He cut state spending by $600 million, including reducing his own staff budget by $1.2 million, and hacked the largest government agency, Health and Human Services, down from 13 divisions to four.

He did this largely by persuading the Legislature to give him emergency powers his first year in office to cut government programs without their consent.Although Romney was not able to get any income tax cuts past the Democratic Legislature, he won other tax cuts totaling nearly $400 million, including a one-time capital gains tax rebate and a two-day sales tax holiday for all purchases under $2,500.

He also vetoed more bills than any other governor in Massachusetts history, before or since. He vetoed bills concerning access to birth control, more spending on state zoos, and the creation of an Asian-American commission -- all of which were reversed by the Legislature.As Barbara Anderson, executive director of Citizens for Limited Taxation, said, "What else could he do?"Romney left his successor, Deval Patrick, Democrat and friend of Obama, with a "rainy day fund" of $2.1 billion, more than tripled from $640 million when Romney took office. (Of course, as soon as Romney was gone, Patrick raided the rainy day fund, increased government spending and raised taxes.)

Meanwhile, when he was in Congress, Santorum wouldn't even vote to eliminate federal funding for the National Endowment for the Arts. Santorum supported all sorts of big-government spending plans -- No Child Left Behind, prescription drug coverage for seniors and the "bridge to nowhere."But you'd think we would at least have Santorum's vote against federal funding for pornographers and deviants. Alas, no.The NEA, you will recall, uses federal taxpayer money to subsidize crucifixes submerged in urine, photos of bullwhips up a man's derriere, poems celebrating the Central Park jogger's rapists, photos of amputated human genitalia, vomit, mutilated corpses and dead fetuses. (And that was just the children's wing of the museum!)But Rick Santorum voted against cutting funding for the NEA every time a vote was taken both as a representative and a senator -- in 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1997 and 1998.

These weren't accidental votes. Each one was deemed a key conservative vote on which members of Congress would be graded by the American Conservative Union.There's your "true conservative," values voters.Unfortunately, the more time a person spends in Washington, the more likely he is to consider it perfectly reasonable for the federal government to redistribute money from hardworking taxpayers to pornographers, con men, charlatans and thieves.America is on a precipice.

Unless we send Lizzie Borden to Washington next January, our country will begin an inevitable decline into a useless socialist country, with no money for national defense, no entrepreneurship, no new businesses being created, no new pharmaceuticals or cancer cures -- just the endless redistribution of an ever-dwindling pool of wealth from the makers to the takers, overseen by career politicians like Rick Santorum.

Mitt Romney has spent no time in Washington. He was a rabidly frugal fiscal conservative in a state where cutting government spending was as foreign an idea as it is in Washington today.Do you think a man who slashed government spending in North Korea, put the corrupt and financially bleeding Olympics on solid financial footing and rescued dozens of companies from bankruptcy would consider a photo of a bullwhip stuck in a man's buttocks a wise investment of the taxpayers' money?

Now then, thank you for putting it in perspective Annie! The primary season is the only excitement in my political decision making this year in any event. Come November 6th, it's a no brainer for me and hopefully for 51% of the rest of America.

If these last three years with this Alinsky oriented socialist has been tough on this country, I don't even want to think about four more years of him in that Oval office without worrying about re-election. I think we could kiss goodbye to what little is left of the 1st Amendment as well as the 2nd, 5th, and 10th! Take a friend to the polls this November and call six others ....................please - for our grand kiddo's sake!

But lest you think I have gone super soft -- be advised that there are a couple of good solid conservative Republicans out there that I wish were in this race!

I understand Eric Holder is at it again......

using the good offices of the Attorney General to continue his crusade against the Second Amendment and gun ownership.  In this clip, a CSPAN clip from 1995, he advocates 'brainwashing' Americans against guns. 

We know from watching the hearings in the House & Senate - that he and his underlings (not to mention his boss in the Oval Office) had anti-gun hysteria in mind when they released thousands of guns in the Justice Department's 'Fast & Furious' debacle.

I have a simple proposition.... if every durned Hollywoody, gas bag politician, and hypocritical limousine liberal will take a simple oath before a federal judge, under penalty of law, to forswear any personal ownership of a weapon, any hiring of any a personal bodyguard who carries a weapon, armed rent-a-cop or off duty law officer, or armed on-duty gob'mint employee law officer,  then yours truly might be inclined to listen to what they say and the advice they have to offer. 

But in the absence of such certification and magnetron screenings like the rest of us sheople, I say their words are as valueless as their promises! Zip, Nada, zero, Bee Ess!

A new perfect example of political spin.......

We all know what political spin is..... we watch it week in and week out.... emanating from Washington, from Sunday TV talking head shows.... and after debates. 

But I just read one of the greatest 'spins' on unhappy facts that I have seen in years...

Obama and his team bragged that they were gonna raise a BILLION DOLLARS to wipe Republicans off the political map this year..... but in fact, as reported by the Washington Post, "At this point in the last election cycle, Obama had received such large donations from more than 23,000 supporters, more than double the 11,000 who have given him that much this time. President George W. Bush had more than four times that number of big donations at this point in his reelection."

Watch out now - here comes the spin: Among the litany of excuses for folks sitting on their billfolds - "... the extended Republican primary has shined a spotlight on a field of potential rivals that many Democrats believe Obama will easily beat."

Yeah, right, the entire House up for grabs a third of the Senate (mostly Dems) and Obamanation hisself.... and they want us to believe that the reason Dim folks ain't digging is because the GOP candidates are gonna be easy to whup!  Right, I believe that....... not!

Do I hear folks whistling as they pass the cemetery?

ABC just reported that our esteemed Federal Gob'mint just awarded a prize of $10,000,000 (million of our tax dollars) to Philips Corporation for their innovation in devising an affordable 60 Watt Light bulb to replace the current old fashioned incandescent bulbs. 

The good news, the bulb will last ten years, and only uses 1/6th the energy.  

The bad news,  the durned bulb costs $50.00 US Dollars.   Yessir - I'm going out this afternoon... let's see now, 36 bulbs, $1,800 plus tax.... hmmm

Congratulations Philips Corporation - the same gob'mint that 'misunderestimated' the cost of Obamacare by a trillion bucks, ($1,000,000,000,000)  recognizes your good work!!!

"Police: Carjacker Walked Out Of Court, Carjacked Second Car"

LOWELL (CBS) – A day after he was arraigned on carjacking charges, a Lowell man is back behind bars after police say he escaped court in handcuffs and carjacked a second person.

Twenty-five-year-old Adriano Ortiz-Columbo managed to leave the court house after his arraignment on Thursday on charges that include carjacking, assault and battery and failure to stop for police.

Police say he walked across the street and swiped an SUV from the Autozone parking lot.

Officers tracked him down a short time later. He was hiding underneath a trailer when they rearrested him.

Ortiz-Columbo was arraigned on a new round of charges Friday.

He is being held without bail.Police say because of his attempted escape and other charges, he could be looking at a lengthy prison sentence.

As my Grandkiddo's would say --- "Well Duh!"

And they probably strip searched Granny in her walker before she boarded.....

AA Passenger Causes Disturbance After Flying out of DFW Airport

FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) – A disturbance on-board an American Airlines flight scared passengers and landed a man in police custody Friday.

Flight 2401 left Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport bound for Los Angeles. Passenger Lori Barber said about 15 minutes into the flight a man charged past her, demanding to see the pilot.

Barber told NewsRadio 1080 KRLD the man was hard to miss.

“Well he was wearing two pairs of glasses, one with a red beam coming out of the lens, and he had three or four ‘man purses’ on and he had Superman socks on,” she recalled.

After preventing the man from entering the cockpit, he was subdued and the flight continued.

A spokesman with American Airlines said the FBI took the man into custody at LAX, for exhibiting “suspicious” behavior during the flight.

Barber said the man was acting strangely before boarding the plane and that flight attendants witnessed it. She feels he should not have been allowed to get onboard.

American confirmed that no weapons were found on or used by the passenger.

There were nearly 150 people on-board the plane when the incident happened.

God Bless the TSA -- they are keeping our skies free of terrorists and trouble makers... except the ones that are hard to spot in their disguises....

Wouldn't it be plumb perfect if we could get one or two of those light weight final four fighting for the GOP presidential nomination to think and talk like this man!! Lordy, Lordy!!

Another Bill of Rights Amendment down the toilet..

... with little fanfare Obamanation signed H.R. 347 into law last week. 

Like most onerous federal laws, it was sweetly titled...... "‘‘Federal Restricted Buildings and Grounds Improvement Act of 2011’’.    

Now, doesn't that sound innocent...?

But what this bill does in just a couple a couple of short paragraphs is grant the Secret Service the right to declare any building, any street corner, any park, and public facility in the United States as a 'restricted area' where citizens may NOT assemble, demonstrate, or speak freely.

As a for instance: If Jolt'n Joe Biden was coming to your home town on one of their hundreds of political fund raising trips around the country ... and decided to speak at a local college as well as the hoi poloi fund raising site... the Secret Service  (SS) only needs to designate and post the surrounding streets and yards as 'restricted buildings or grounds' and neither you nor your fellow citizens could peacefully assemble with or without signs, to protest or make a political statement!

Yes, read that last sentence again ... that's what it says.   And you can be 'fined and/or imprisoned' for violating such a posting. 

So, Pilgrims, our Dear Leader (and all of his minions) - who already lives in a citizen free bubble. just had it thoroughly sanitized by the stroke of a pen. 

Might the day be soon arriving when entire neighborhoods, villages, towns or cities may be 'locked down' so as to prevent any possible affront to the ruling elite?   

Is this what the Founding Fathers had in mind when they discussed 'citizen leaders'?

And I don't lay the blame for this abomination of a law only on the steps of the White House.....  it had to be passed in the Republican led House and the Democrat led Senate before it reached his desk......if they erased the 1st Amendment this easily, can the 2nd Amendment be far behind if he gets a second term???

"Less than a week after a US staff sergeant allegedly massacred 16 civilians in Kandahar, American soldiers were banned from bringing guns into a talk by Mr Panetta at a base in Helmand province.

Around 200 troops who had gathered in a tent at Camp Leatherneck were told "something had come to light" and asked abruptly to file outside and lay down their automatic rifles and 9mm pistols.

"Somebody got itchy, that's all I've got to say. Somebody got itchy – we just adjust," said the sergeant who was told to clear the hall of weapons."

The man who just threw Catholics and freedom of religion under the bus (and famously was a 20-year member of a radical, racist, America-hating church) invited dozens of allegedly religious activists to the Whitehouse to coordinate his "prayer vigil" to support Obamacare

In commenting on this clear blasphemy and Constitutional assualt, the Rev. Patrick J. Mahoney is direct and eloquent:

“It is troubling that President does not celebrate the National Day of Prayer at the White House or attend church on a regular basis, (as he did all during the 2008 campaign) yet he will call for prayer vigils to help support and promote his political agenda. Mr. President, prayer should never be about advancing a political agenda, but honoring God.

Here's a snap question, Pilgrims......

On this map to the right, all of the areas in RED are Federal Public lands. I don't know about you, but as I gaze at this sea of red, I am reminded of the red ink our gob'mint is currently swimming in..... and ask myself, Why?

Why does the government hold deed to millions and millions of acres? They provide no source of tax income to the local, state or federal gob'mints. They neither encourage development of neither natural resources or population/commercial growth. Look at Alaska, California and Nevada!!!!

And worse, they are a cost, yes an expense to our federal tax dollars every year. Heck, the Department of the Interior has a visible budget of over $12,000,000,000 (billions) each year.....

And my final question to myself is.... how come the Feds lay claim to so little land in the original thirteen colonies? Perhaps those folks weren't willing to give it up as easily as it was taken from those that joined the union a hundred years later under the political hubris of 'manifest destiny'.

But then, look at Texas with it's expanse of independent white! Aha, Texas was an independent republic when it became a state in 1845 - and not a territory subject to political flim-flammers in Washington and elsewhere .....

Speaking of Income taxes...... and the federal deficit!

Have you written your check to pay your 2011 Federal Income Taxes yet. Or, if you are one of those who have it withheld paycheck by squeezed paycheck...... have you looked at the total that you paid?

If that number dismays you -- be of good cheer - keep in mind the good uses to which your dollars are put....

The Air Force is pulling nine cargo aircraft from military ops to support Obamanation's stepped-up re-election campaign. Because he will be making multiple campaign stops on the same day, they need these nine additional C-130s and C-17s to ferry his Cadillac armored SUV's and limos ahead of him in a game of tax dollar hop-scotch!

These of course, are in addition to the two Boeing 747's (AF1 & 2), five Boeing 757 wide body's, and eleven Gulfstream executive jets to fly all his underlings around to press the flesh and wave the blue flag.

A parting question; just Air Force One, costs $181,000 per hour to fly - multiply that by this veritable fleet of personal airborne limos and flat cars..... Now then, how far does that paltry bit of tax money they took from you go to hep' the cause?

The richest oil sheik, the wealthiest kings, the greatest tyrants --- couldn't even dream of living in such a vast lap of luxury and carbon footprints!!!

Ohio state Senator Nina Turner has introduced a bill to regulate men's reproductive health. She says the bill is no different than legislating 'a woman's womb'.

"Before getting a prescription for Viagra or other erectile dysfunction drugs, men would have to see a sex therapist, receive a cardiac stress test and get a notarized affidavit signed by a sexual partner affirming impotency, if state Sen. Nina Turner has her way.

The Cleveland Democrat introduced Senate Bill 307 this week."

Apparently offended by a 'Heartbeat Bill' offered by state Rep Lynn Wachtmann (R) which prohibits abortion as soon as a heartbeat can be detected, Nina Turner's bill would require "men taking the drugs to continue to be tested for heart problems, receive counseling about possible side effects and receive information about “pursuing celibacy as a viable lifestyle choice.”

Wachtmann says, in a poor choice of words in my humble opinion, that comparing the two bills is like 'comparing apples to bananas."

Looks like they are having fun in the staid state of Ohio legislature..... but the underlying legislation proposals seem to be crossing the country at the hands of lady legislators....... click here for the rest of the story.

American Taxpayers bail out General Motors, now known as Gob'mint Motors and peddler of the Edsel like Volt....

Just in case you didn't feel bad enough that our tax dollars were appropriated by that star lit economy team in the White House to line the pockets of the 'in' people at GM and the officials of the United Auto Workers unions...... you are hereby authorized to feel $400,000,000 (millions)worse this morning.

That's how much Gob'mint Motors paid for 7% of the failing Peugeot Motors of France. A car company who's credit rating has been downgraded to 'junk' status by Moody's.

To help support and rationalize this idiot move - GM claim to fame is their success with ownership of the Euro Opal company --- which lost more than $700,000,000 (millions) last year. Of course - they have the Opal Ampere (read Euro Volt) to prop them up!!!

And on it goes......... Oh, in case you were worried, the Peugeot family, with their $2,000,000,000 (billions) in personal worth, declined to buy any GM stock... guess they are smarter then some others we know.

Like the commercial says to the American taxpayer, "What's in your wallet?"

Iraqi teenagers stoned to death for "emo" haircuts

At least 90 Iraqi teenagers with "emo" appearances have been stoned to death by religious extremists in Baghdad in the past month after an inflammatory interior ministry statement dubbed it "devil worshiping", activists said.

Iraq's Moral Police released a chilling statement on the interior ministry's website condemning the "emo phenomenon" among Iraqi youth, disturbingly declaring its intent to "eliminate" the trend.

"The 'Emo phenomenon' or devil worshiping is being followed by the Moral Police who have the approval to eliminate [the phenomenon] as soon as possible since it's detrimentally affecting the society and becoming a danger," the statement read.

"They wear strange, tight clothes that have pictures on them such as skulls and use stationary that are shaped as skulls.

Religious extremists caught onto the interior ministry statement, and have been harassing and killing teenagers with "strange" or "emo" appearances.

A group of armed men dressed in civilian clothing led dozens of teenagers to secluded areas a few days ago, stoned them to death, and then disposed their bodies in garbage dumpsters across the capital, according to activists.

The armed men are said to belong to “one of the most extremist religious groups” in Iraq.

“First they throw concrete blocks at the boy's arms, then at his legs, then the final blow is to his head, and if he is not dead then, they start all over again,” one person who managed to escape told Al-Akhbar.

Ah yes, democracy and enlightenment have come to this troubled land at the terrible expense of American blood and money..... how can we regret our participation?

I'm certain that Afghanistan will be a 'shining city on the hill' when we pull out or get run out of there by Karzai as well..... More American military blood spilled, more billions of dollars......

Gas prices and the economy were the top issues on the minds of voters on Super Tuesday, according to exit polls.

Seven in 10 voters in the seven Super Tuesday states that hold primaries said the price of gas was an important topic in deciding who to vote for in the GOP presidential primary, according to CBS News. Southern states seemed to care most about gas prices: in Georgia, 81 percent said it was the top issue in deciding, while in Oklahoma, 79 percent said it was the most important. In Tennessee, 77 percent it was important.

The Associated Press found that the economy was also a top issue influencing voters as they went to the polls.

Displeasure with the federal government was also strong among voters in Republican primary contests. In Ohio, eight in 10 voters surveyed in exit polls said they were unhappy with the federal government, and four in 10 said they were outright angry.

So, while the wily Libs of the Left try to take our eye off the ball - as in their failing economy issues, the folks at the polls know what's up!!

Keep your eyes peeled for the next act in the side ring meant to distract your attention from the acts in the center ring..... it should be a doozy -- and meantime, how about letting your GOP Reps know how you feel. E-mails are cheap and fast!!!

Let's see now - their secret plan to win this year: 'Aggravate 100 million female voters for no good reason!' Yessir - that sounds like a winner. They could really seal the deal by writing a new plank for their platform and broadcasting it: "Viagra is evil so we are taking it off the market." That ought to lose them another 50 million votes.

Give me a break -- where is the logic.... where is the thought process.... they have fifty ways to run Obamanation back to Chicago with his socialist tail between his legs ....... and they wanna make an issue out of contraception.
