Feds give $5 million tax bucks as bonus to Oregon for.............?????

Y'all are familiar with Food Stamps? Those vouchers (now credit cards so they aren't embarrassed using 'em) that folks who were REALLY IN DIRE STRAITS would apply for to see them through tough times? Taken from 'the Corruption Chronicles'....

This week Oregon officials bragged that the USDA has given the state $5 million in “performance bonuses” for ensuring that people eligible for food benefits receive them and for its “swift processing of applications.” The money comes on the heels of a separate $1.5 million award from the feds for making “accurate payments of food stamp benefits to clients.” So welfare recipients are clients? .

It marks the fifth consecutive year that Oregon has been “recognized” by the federal government for “exceptional administration” of the entitlement program, according to the announcement posted on the state’s Department of Human Services web site. The state official who runs SNAP assures that her staff will “continue working very hard to exceed expectations” so that Oregonians can “put healthy foods on their table quickly.”

Could this be why the number of food-stamp beneficiaries in Oregon has increased dramatically in the last few years? Since 2008 the state has seen a 60% boost in the number of food-stamp recipients, which means that more than 780,000 people (one out of five Oregonians) get groceries compliments of Uncle Sam.

As if this weren’t bad enough, the feds are also giving the state a two-year grant to test an “innovative approach” to the food-stamp “client eligibility review process.” This will make it even easier for people to get food stamps because it grants state officials a waiver that allows them to grant the benefit without interviewing the candidate.

When does it end? Where does it end? When the Dems have every man and woman and their kids (or man & man or woman & woman and their kids) on the dole and dependent on the Federal Gob'mint for food?

The Obama administration is now giving three quarters of a billion tax bucks to an outfit called Tenopah Solar, connected to Nancy Pelosi through a literal 'brother-in-law' deal.

But not for nothing mind you --- if, unlike Solyndra, this Tenopa deal works out --- it will create == are your sitting down and ready to be impressed? === 45 jobs. Yessir, forty-five jobs created at a cost to the tax payers of only $16,377,777 per job. (Yep, thats $16 million bucks plus per job)

Must be room in the Guiness Book of Records for this one!!!! Now even ole' Pecoz is afraid that I might've misplaced a decimal point here, so click here and go to the source for yourself..... my head hurts!

Apparently, American taxpayers are going to pick up the tab for a new half billion dollar office building on Manhattan's East Side. All those mullahs, tin pot dictators and bully boy brothers-in-law apparently need more space.

I kinda like Gob'nor Huckabee's idea better. How about taking a jack hammer to the existing building and tell these Ahmadinejad lovers good bye. They'd be very comfortable in one of the Euro-Socialist cities. And New York city would get it's parking and traffic problems eased.

Of course, I've been saying for years, that we should offer the UN, the now closed Minot AFB in North Dakota as a home. If they truly just want to meet and do the bid'ness of the people of the world, I'm sure they'd rather be far from the hustle and bustle of NY City. And Minot would sure offer the bucolic scene they could enjoy!

There are all those empty barracks for overnight stays, a gymnasium, and even a flight line to fly in and out of. What else could they ask for?

White House snubs turning into a trickle and then.......?

Last month. looking for a good photo-op to display his all American visage, the POTUS invited all the good ole' boy winners from NASCAR for a grin and grip. Not all accepted. Some had scheduling conflicts... right!!!

Now, Obamanation needs an NFL photo-op so he has invited the 1985 Chicago Bears Super Bowl Champions to come by and be his poster props.

One of the players, Hall of Famer Dan Hampton, didn't pull the old 'scheduling conflict' gamut. He stated flat out in a radio interview that he is 'no fan of the guy in the White House' in the first place and also put off by the dis-invite of wives and kids. I get to go, but sorry kids, you aren't invited!

So, the Four-time Pro Bowler will stay on the bench for this one!

Pointing out that it is a 'do nothing' Dem led Senate that is holding up gob'mint, ...he points out:

"In terms of recorded votes, the two bodies are as different as Times Square and the Everglades. Through September 15, the GOP House had voted 711 times. Meanwhile, across the same period, the Democratic Senate had only 137 recorded votes. So, the allegedly lethargic GOP legislators whose sloth dooms the nation actually are five times as energetic as their indolent counterparts in the Democratic Senate. "

"While House Republicans adopted a budget last April 15, the Democratic Senate has not approved a budget since April 29, 2009. This Democratic inaction seems to violate the U.S. Congressional Budget Act, which requires passage of an annual budget resolution. Indeed, the Senate rejected Obama’s budget in May by a vote of 0 to 97 — with every Democrat in the chamber voting nay.

Obama can disagree with every piece of paper passed by the GOP House. But when he slyly bashes Republicans by accusing “this Congress” of “doing nothing,” he simply is lying through his teeth. If Obama wants the entire Congress to get something done, he should tell Harry Reid to wake up and do his job."

So, Pilgrims, when you here BO's TOTUS telling you that Congress is the problem, listen carefully, cause the real answer is buried in there somewhere..

2012 - the year of the mental breakdown in the USA?

With Herman Cain's recent breakthrough in
Florida, a very interesting scenario is beginning to appear faintly on the radar screen in America.

We all know (through independent polling) that 95% of all the Blacks that voted in 2008 voted for Barack Obama! That wasn't racist of course, that was just how they felt about the candidates.

Although the majority of Blacks have historically voted for the Dims, they had never voted at that 95% level before. Notwithstanding the fact that every white person that did not vote for Obamanation was accused of being racist!

Cain is a successful, no nonsense, strong, well spoken businessman who knows how to create jobs, wealth, and plays well with others. Some attributes that the incumbent is totally lacking in his skill set. Although he wouldn't be my first choice (as of today) for the Republican Nomination -- I could sure go proudly to the polls next year and vote for him over BO-NO!

But what really tickles my fancy is to picture the schizoid mindset of the Black voter who voted for BO ONLY because he was Black. If Cain gets nominated, they'll have to choose between a proven loser black candidate and a potentially successful black candidate..

Wouldn't that be fun to watch? If Clinton, Jackson, Sharpton and friends can't play the 'race' card..... what do they do -- play the Pizza card?

In that next post down below, I was plumb pleased to announce the EPA as this week's winner of the "Poster Boy' of the week for federal gob'mint insanity....

So the Department of Energy gets a free ride. I can't give them the award this week even if they deserve it. The DOE just kicked off a 'Solar Decathlon' encouraging college students to think green in their house designs.

This house pictured is one of the entrants. Designed and built by City College of New York, it cost roughly $500.000 plus labor to build. It is a massive (!) 650 square feet (about the size of two car garage) and might produce enough electricity to be self supporting at least for the light bulb in the ceiling..... but unfortunately it was raining so reporters were left in the dark!!

This whole taxpayer paid scheme is so absurd - that I won't belabor it.... just link you to the story!!!

No wonder we are going bankrupt... DOE Secretary Steven Chu....... hmmm, isn't he that one that wants every roof in America painted white or something?

Here's the new poster boy for all that is wrong with Washington DC and the federal bureaucracy!!

The Environmental Protection Agency, (EPA should be a four letter word) , in all it's regulatory fervor has banned the sale of Primatene Mist Inhalers from your local drugstore, Walmart shelves!

Why you ask? Well hell, those little pump inhalers that help a couple of million asthma sufferers get through the day are powered by CFC's. That's what makes 'em mist! And our Feds and EPA signed on to some bigger international bureaucracy agreement called the Montreal Protocol and agreed to stop selling these earth killers.

Now keep in mind, that Mexico (to our South) and India (to our East) and other countries have no such bans and use CFC's by the ton for air conditioning units in houses and vehicles - as well as other uses. But do our civil servants in DC care.......... hell no!

The replacement inhalers for these old family friend Primatene Mist inhalers cost three times as much (still under patent, doncha' know) and can only be obtained by prescription. Meaning - pay a doctor a hundred bucks to write out that little piece of paper.

Lord luv a duck........ when are the good American folks gonna pick up the sticks and pitchforks and cross the DC beltway and straighten things out!!!

Do any of you chickens getting plucked out there doubt for even a minute, that any GS civil servant in that EPA building can't get all the inhalers they want for free right there in the tax payer provided, in house clinic? I don't!

When I am reincarnated, I hope it's as one of the chicken plucker class instead of the chickens!!

as the Gob'nor of my great state of Texas - Perry looked to be a shoo in as "Mr Conservative" in the current GOP Pamplona bull run for President.

And then, after braggin' on how he'd put boots on the ground to defend our border with Mexico, he was forced to not only admit that illegal alien students attend Texas colleges but that they get to do it at taxpayer subsidized resident rates -- a cost of as much as $22K per student per year for Texas taxpayers!!

What is so complicated and hard to understand about the word 'illegal' in this country?

Putting it another way, supposing all these constitution ignoring milk sops in gob'mint approved programs for bank robbers/car thieves/rapists/muggers/murderers to attend our State Universities at the 'resident' rate and not be arrested and tried in a court of law.......

Welcome to the GOP Reality Show Debate....

As I watched the debate last night, that old tune, "There's no business like show business, like no business I know!" kept running through my head.

Was I watching a political debate between nine candidates for the highest office in the land? Or was I watching a Fox/Google Reality Show with bells. whistles and sound bites.

I guess maybe I'm just old fashioned and aint 'hip', or 'hep' or 'cool' (or whatever the word of the day is) but I damned sure think it could be done better. Not in the snide, accusatory way of the leftist NBC/CNN, but not in the Mr Rogers, Fox/Google way either.....

I'm willing to bet that every headline today will include the obviously rehearsed comment from the anonymous dude on the end about his neighbors dogs producing shovel ready jobs........

"There's no business like show business..........."

Who would of thought that Sarah Palin would start looking like the only serious and qualified candidate............................ so soon!

Last evening, in Jackson, Georgia, under the watchful eyes and despite the protests of 500 local protesters and thousands of other around this globe, Troy Davis, a black man, was executed for the capital murder of Police Officer Mark MacPhail, a white man twenty-two years ago.

Davis was convicted of the murder twenty years ago. His conviction and sentence has had more reviews by courts (including the Supreme Court of the USA yesterday - again) than almost any case in history. Supporters of this 'smirking' cop killer include such luminaries as Jimmah Carter, the Pope, and Bo Diddly (or Pee Diddly).

Coincidentally, another convicted murderer was executed last evening. Lawrence Russell Brewer, a white man, was executed in Huntsville Texas for the heinous murder by dragging of James Byrd Jr, a black man, back in 1998 - a mere 13 years ago.

Two losers, both convicted by the same system of justice of a capital crime - both executed. One enjoyed the support of thousands and 'met last night with family and supporters' before he was put down in Jackson Georgia. The other, was supported by no-one, died alone and without fame.

What makes them different?

Living off the (Buffett) FAT of the land.....

It's only a rumor, but some are saying that when Obamanation keeps honking for passage of his Buffett Tax plan, he is really talking about the Justice Department's and the White House Break room buffets with the new tax money flowing in.

Apparently, this is what the mid-morning snack buffet would look like.

Right now the are limited by a shortage of funds to $16 muffins, $76 lunch boxes, $10 cookies, Swedish meatballs at five bucks apiece, and $32 Crackerjack boxes... Wonder what the prize is?

Of course, I understand that with all of the deep thinking and serious planning that goes on at those Justice Department 'Fast & Furious' meeting, they need all the fast burning calories they can get.

And those gardeners tending Michelle's White House vegetable garden (whilst she jaunts off on her high flying vacations) need a little real nourishment as well.......... Who could begrudge either group?

I understand that the Mexican Attorney General has now counted up to 200 crimes committed by the holders of these Justice Department issued weapons. And that the count is up to an admitted ten more on our side of the border. Don't know how true it all is... don't care.... where is Judge John Sirica when we need him?

We have truly fallen thru the 'looking glass' !!

I recall when I was a lad, the unions would pick one of the big three motorcar companies to strike, go on strike, and after ruining their year (or years), extort a contract. This contract would then become the template for the union's contract with the other two automakers.

Fast forward to 2011. This year, the United Auto Workers union just signed a new four year contract with General Motors, a company Obamanation gave them 17.5% ownership in at the expense of the taxpayers. The contract provides $5,000 signing bonuses, plus profit sharing, $3 per hour pay increases for starting level wages (already at $15 per hour) and guarantees more union jobs.

This is the 'template' that the UAW will now go forward with in their negotiations with Ford, and Chrysler - which they don't wholly own - yet.

And to think there are some folks in this country that can't understand why we are spiraling down the toilet bowl of history......... !!

Hey, maybe I'm wrong...... but if I was a motorcar company forced into paying an assembly line worker $56 per hour to tighten the screws on a new robotic ally installed dashboard or the lug nuts on the drivers side wheels...... I think I'd be looking at 'a foreign strand' to do bid'ness on!

So that's why he always hides behind his TOTUS!!!

Somehow, Pilgrims, I don't find myself reassured......

.....in a recent column in Salon.com, Alyssa Battistoni, tried to reassure us great unwashed crowds out here -- you know, those of us who haven't signed on to the progressive agenda yet --- that we shouldn't worry. One of the paragraphs I found most intriguing was:

"Yes, $534 million is a lot of money, and 1,100 jobs is a lot of jobs, but Solyndra represents just 1.3 percent of the Department of Energy's loan portfolio. America's investment in renewables, and particularly solar, lags behind that of many other G-20 countries as a percentage of GDP. Yet sheer investment isn't enough to ensure a robust renewable sector; it has to be smart investment. And that doesn't mean fussing over individual companies; instead of picking the right companies, we need to pick the right policies. We need to look at what's worked elsewhere, particularly in Germany, which continues to blaze the trail in solar innovation, production and installation."

What do I find so un-reassuring in that paragraph? The first sentence. If Solyndra represents just 1.3 percent of the Department of Energy's loan portfolio ........ that means DOE has a LOAN PORTFOLIO IN EXCESS OF $50.000,000,000 IN SIMILAR LOANS!!

By the way, for those of you who like ole' Pecoz, has gotten blinded by all the zeros in the Obamanation administration (no - not the cabinet and czar zeroes, the budget and debt zeros) that number there is $50 Billion Tax Payer's Bucks being managed by politically appointed bureaucrats that can't get a real job in a real economy!

In these days of Trillions and such, $50 Billion may seem like chump change, but folks if you stack $50 billion one dollar bills on top of your roof, your house will cave in. I sure hope that don't happen at the Department of Energy!

About that new Jobs Bill............

.... our POTUS says "if congress loves him, they should pass his jobs bill."

One group who already loves him to the tune of millions of campaign bucks, is the American Trial Lawyers associations. If they loved him yesterday - they're really gonna love him if this new bill is passed! 'Cause it's them and theirs that are going to get the new jobs -- as stated on Pages 130 & 131 of the Bill:

Section 374: PROHIBITED ACTS.

(a) Employers- It shall be an unlawful employment practice for an employer to--

(1) publish in print, on the Internet, or in any other medium, an advertisement or announcement for an employee for any job that includes-
(A) any provision stating or indicating that an individual's status as unemployed disqualifies the individual for any employment opportunity; or
(B) any provision stating or indicating that an employer will not consider or hire an individual for any employment opportunity based on that individual's status as unemployed; or

(2) fail or refuse to consider for employment, or fail or refuse to hire, an individual as an employee because of the individual's status as unemployed;

(3) direct or request that an employment agency take an individual's status as unemployed into account to disqualify an applicant for consideration, screening, or referral for employment as an employee

In other words, unemployed persons will now be offered about the same protections as are offered to minorities and protected groups, for race, color, sex, sexual preferences, disabilities, and religion.

If you are unemployed and apply for a job, and HR or the hiring owner/manager doesn't think you are the one they want, call a lawyer and sue!!! It's discrimination and illegal under BO's (love those lawyers) Jobs Bill!!

As a final thought, if this law gets on the books, how many bid'ness owners are going to advertise and offer job openings and open the doors to this Pandora's box. Nobel Prize Winner in Physics gets hot!!!!!!

Dr Ivar Giaever, Nobel winner for Physics, resigned publicly from the Americal Physical Society over it's official position of man caused global warming.

Claiming that the Society's own fact data base says otherwise, he picks up his thoughts of the mass of protons, and multi-universe changes -- and his marbles and walks!!

His thought: "A less than one degree climate change in 200 years is stable, not warming!"

....... and American might ask the same question. As our Community Organizer in Chief traipses around the country asking for 'love' ........ and another half trillion dollar porkulus bill... Apparently if members of Congress 'love' him, they will pass his bill unedited.

I have to wonder if he ever read our Constitution.

For that matter, I wonder if any or all of our Congressmen and Senators have read it?

The very first paragraph of the very first Section of the very first Article reads:

"Section 1: All legislative Powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives."

Please note that this first paragraph does not say that the POTUS shall legislate. It says the Congress shall legislate. The President then can sign, or veto the legislated bills forwarded to him!

Somehow, we have reversed this procedure in this country. I reckon it started with FDR, but it's continued downhill with both parties since then. It seems to this old head, that if we need a jobs bill, the POTUS ought to stand in his bully pulpit and say so. And then get the hell out of the way while Congress legislates a jobs bill if they see fit and as they see fit. He can then accept or reject it.

But what we have is a POTUS whose aides draft a bill, he presents to Congress and says here, take this and pass it. That's not legislating, that's dictating.

Or am I missing something here??

I am troubled by a couple of my more recent observations of life in this country and wonder if you can help.

I read that an illegal immigrant woman from an African nation has not only been living here illegally for years, but also that she has been living in gob'mint provided housing and on tax payer money as well. With flat screen TVs, nice clothes, she is truly living la dolce vita . After years of living in this grand manner on our taxpayer supported dollars, I understand now she has been provided with 'asylum' to continue this freeloader status forever.

Further, I read that another illegal immigrant of twenty years, was recently arrested for drunken driving and .......... immediately released back onto the public streets.

Here is my question Sir; The woman is the aunt and the man is the uncle of an American citizen with a personal wealth of over ten million dollars, not to mention the perks in his current employment - he has even bragged about his relationship with these two illegals in his books.

Why doesn't the US Gob'mint either deport them, or charge the nephew to pay for their support?

By now, every American that can spell 'politics as usual' knows that the GOP went two for two yesterday in the special elections.

As expected, they kept their Republican Congressional seat in Nevada - but hit the loooong ball in the 9th District of New York. A franchise Congressional district wholly owned by the Dims for the last 80 years!!!

Even spending ginormous bucks and bringing their biggest guns out of retirement, Mario Cuomo and Bubba Clinton, couldn't save this district for Obamanation. The good folks of NY's 9th, sent a message. Do you reckon there is anybody in the White House listening..... or are they too busy trying to put a spin on it?

Do I hear a bugle echoing in the background?

As introduced by that gentleman of the union movement, James Hoffa Jr...... BO's troops react!

Apparently after Krugman's latest column ugly column, Donald Rumsfeld cancelled his subscription to the New York Times. Ho hum...... who knew he was just a follower.... following those hundreds of thousands of other subscribers who have opted out in the last few years.

Poor reporting, biased reporting, plagiarizing, and beating the same drum will do that -- even to the Gray Lady!

Sure am proud my retirement income isn't invested in her NYT stock!! Whee Doggies - It charts just as ugly as Obamanation's approval ratings!

And she used to stand so proud in my youth!

No No, I am not giving up the cause. I just don't want to give short shrift here whilst otherwise involved.

Obamanation and his cabal of White House anti-Americans seem to be waving the flag pretty well for us all just now anyway.

Between extorting money from mortgage lenders in the name of anti-discrimination,

- raiding non-union American companies like Gibson guitars to force them out of the country,

- bashing religious universities over the head with Union organizers,

- covering up the facts of 'Fast & Furious' DOJ doings,

- destroying the American economy,

The Obamanites seem to be in their own self destructive mode..... No help from this old country boy needed.

I am working hard on an other writing project which I hope to share with you soon. Hopefully upon my return on September 14th. In the mean time, keep the faith, and don't forget to check back in two weeks...
