The DNC Chairette, the gift that keeps on giving....

I thought for years that Howard Dean was one of the greatest gifts that the Dims gave the GOP when they appointed him as Chairman of the Democratic National Party. He was in a class with 'Bite Me' Biden hisself when it came to gaffes and shootin' hisself in the foot.

But he was second fiddle to the tune played by Obamanation's appointee to this position at the DNC!! Debbie (of the golden locks) Wasserman-Schultz is in a class by herself. Here is an example of her latest pronouncements. If you listen real close, I think you'll hear her say that those dastardly Republicans want to declare 'illegal aliens' as illegal aliens!! Lord what will those rascals do next?

But now, in a moment of levity, even if unintended, she assures us that those Republicans are at it again and are going to make us all drive foreign cars .... what's that you say -- she does?? Say it ain't so!



Yessir, election year, with all it's tension, long hours, and suspense should be a whole passel of knee slappers with this motor mouth with the curly locks at the helm of the DNC..... Game on!!

....and I should add; 'Thank you Mister President!'

Although I think I'd enjoy playing 'pot limit' poker with Obamanation and winning a pile of his 'stash', I'm not too sure that having him play America's hand is good thing.

Let's see now.... he's betting on an 'Arab Spring?' - I'm not sure- but I think that's his euphemism for the democratization of the the Middle East.... he looked at his hand, and threw his Israel card away (or under the bus - some would say) and opted to keep his Egypt and Iraq cards to draw to.

He drew a Yemen card - to build his hand with - but I see in this morning's headlines that the good folks of al-Qaida are taking over it's capital ... the Muslim Brotherhood is looking like a high card in Egypt, Libya (you remember Libya, "We will be finished in a matter of days, not weeks", yeah - that place is turning into the Mother of all Messes....

His Pakistan card is growing weaker, and Afghanistan is turning into a one eyed jack. Hmm. Meanwhile, he is reaching back over his shoulder to borrow more chips from China to put in the pot... dunno how he pays them back - even if he wins....

Hoping to improve his hand, he goes to Ireland, England and the Euro G-8 meeting to build his hand --- and even Lec Walensa, his fellow Nobel Prize winner won't take a meeting with him!!

I sure hope American voters remember that old Kenny Rogers song next year, and knows when to fold 'em!!

Down here in Texas, we got us another one of them fights twixt agnostics and a school board. From Foxnews.com:

A federal lawsuit was filed Friday by the Americans United for Separation of Church and State to prevent a Texas school district from allowing prayer during graduation, according to FoxSanAntonio.com.

The suit was filed on behalf of Christa and Danny Schultz, who have two children in the Medina Valley Independent School District, including one graduating on June 4, according to the San Antonio Express.

The group wants the school district to remove a student-led invocation and benediction, but the school district says that the remarks do not violate any laws or school policy, according to the Express.

"Public schools can't require students to take part in religious worship as the price of attending their graduation. This is settled law, and the district needs to stop resisting it," the Rev. Barry Lynn, the group's executive director, told the paper.

A school spokesman says the group is just trying to create a political debate.

"It is sad that someone would choose the commencement exercises of the 50th anniversary of our school district as a forum for stirring political debate that threatens to needlessly cast a shadow of controversy over the pinnacle event of the class of 2011," school board president Roland Ruiz told the paper.

According to the Schultz's attorney, they previously asked the district to stop public prayers during school events.

"They're not atheists, they're actually agnostic, and (the parents) don't believe a school-sponsored prayer should be part of a school-sponsored event," attorney Don Flanary told the Express.

The group says their son might not attend his graduation if they don't eliminate the prayer during the ceremony.

Seems to me, these folks solved the problem and answered their own question with that last sentence..... What my kids would call a 'no-brainer'!!!!

............ that's what my educated and kindly Grandma would say about what happened here in Texas yesterday!

I have neither her education nor refinement, so I'll simply say the Texas Legislature reached over and grabbed their collective ankles yesterday - after poopin' in their proverbial messkits!!

Background: All Texans stood a little prouder this last couple of weeks as our State Legislators moved a bill along that: "would have made it a misdemeanor for TSA personnel to touch “the anus, sexual organ, buttocks, or breast of another person including through the clothing.” The penalties for violating the law would have included a $4,000 fine and up to a year in jail."

That's pretty damned straightforward and certainly in keeping with our State Motto - "DON'T MESS WITH TEXAS'......

But after the Bill passed the House and looked to be gonna pass the State Senate, U.S, Attorney John Murphy sent a letter to the powers that be and said words to the effect that if the Senate passed the bill, TSA would CANCEL all flights out of Texas!!! The excuse being the TSA crews wouldn't be allowed to do their groping in accordance with federal edict.

Now if that ain't a bunch of hogwash.....and a Texas sized bluff!! If this country is in the toilet already - imagine what would happen if the Gob'mint shut down the national hubs of United Airlines, Delta Airlines, SouthWest Airlines and others at Houston and DFW - we'd really be in the can.

The Texas Legislature had the opportunity to start the greatest battle over States Rights since South Carolina seceded from the Union and fired on Ft Sumter 150 years ago last month in April 1861 ......

Not to be, alas, the TSA screeners will keep up their lawful duties:

• Reaching, twice in one pat-down, into the underpants of a whining 6-year-old.
• Groping the breasts, inner thighs, and crotch of a female passenger who had just cleared security.
• Patting down a wheelchair-bound 14-year-old victim of brain and spinal cancer.

Hot Damn! If Texans won't stand up and be counted over the abuse of our women and children --- where does it end? When Federal Brown Shirts coming marching into our state buildings and schools instead of just Blue Shirts in our airports?

Gore’s transcript documents that during his sophomore year at Harvard he earned a "D" in Natural Sciences 6 (Man’s Place in Nature). Also, as a senior at Harvard, he earned a C-plus in Natural Sciences 118.

Gore, along with the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2007 for his work on global warming.

It's been a strange, strange day, Pilgrims.....

I went to my bed last night with pictures of a an ebullient Obamation sipping pints in an Irish Pub and celebrating his very Irishness. Even weirder were the crowds of otherwise intelligent Irish folks who had no clue they were being used for photo ops..

Hell, BO has paid more attention to his dead Irish GGGGreat Uncle or whatever -- than he has paid to his Grandma in the Kenyan hut, or his aunt in the Boston housing projects ......... or his brother!!

Still the people lap it up.

Then I wake up this morning to see a headline on the Drudge Report that Tory PM Cameron and Dim POTUS BO have started a new burlesque team and their first song and dance is "We are the Thatcher and Reagan of the 21st Century'! Either or both Maggie Thatcher and Ronald Reagan showed more ability, skill, and daring in one day than these two wusses have shown in their entire young lives!! What a crock......!!

The day goes on, I get three e-mails directing me to a new White House PR Release announcing that some flak (or is it flake?) named Jesse Lee has been named the new White House Plumber (I thought that office died with Nixon) and is going to be in charge of chasing down and destroying 'Unfavorable Online Media' stories. A new 21st Century 'Enemies List' perhaps?

The story didn't mention whether they had issued him a Darth Vader Uniform and a ray gun or not. How does that go now --- "President of ALL the People" Yeah, that's it - I remember!!

I thought that pretty much rounded of my day -- Obamanation-wise -- but as Billy Mays used to say, "Wait - there's more!"

My good friend Dave up in Maryland tells me that the Senate is under pressure to do what it typically does not: Work quickly. Why? Because they must consider whether to vote for a four-year extension of the Patriot Act which expires Friday. The White House has urged senators to speed it up because once passed by the Senate, it must be approved by the House and then be loaded aboard an aircraft to be flown overseas to be signed into law.

First Gingrich opens his campaign by offering himself up to David Gregory on NBC's 'Meet & Be Pressed' where he is immediately skewered as a racist and worse. He is obviously not - but when Gregory owns the microphone - it's hard to make a point.

Then he continues the self inflicting gun rampage on the same program by attacking Congressman Paul Ryan's budget proposals............ the only sane or workable proposal put out by anybody so far. Attacking a popular and hard working Republican committee chairman is not great TV for a wannabe GOP nominee.

Now......... on Radio Iowa - he proposes that local boards should be established to grant 'legal' status to illegal immigrants!!! Here's the exact quote:

“This is, at the risk of — as I do on occasion — of getting into trouble with the news media,” Gingrich said, in answering the question, and a few people in the audience chuckled. “…I’m looking seriously at the way the Selective Service Act used to work in the 1940s and World War II where a local Selective Service board who knew the local people made the decisions…because I think we are going to want to find some way to deal with the people who are here to distinguish between those who have no ties to the United States and therefore you can deport them at minimum human cost, and those who, in fact, may have earned the right to become legal, but not citizens.”

Okay Pilgrims........ here is a Pop Quiz: We have one of these boards set up in one of our so called 'sanctuary cities', like Boston or San Francisco. Can you imagine them turning anybody down, except maybe a convicted serial killer -- but then ask him to reapply after six months of behaving and not killing anyone?

On the other hand, in the more conservative parts of the country (aka - 'saner'), do you reckon that every Thomaso, Ricardo and Habib would get an instant free pass and Green Card. Neither do I....

Nor do I have any idea what the hell, the former Speaker of the House, for whom I've always had great admiration, is smoking lately. But he sure ain't drinking from the well of common sense!

Up Up and Away!!!!!!!! Oh My!!

Employers whom the president peevishly ordered to "step up and start hiring" got more economic bad news yesterday when a study found that their healthcare costs will rise 8.5% next year, due in no small part to (surprise!) Obamacare.

The study cited three key causes adding to the cost increases. The first is the consolidation of more hospitals and physicians to meet government requirements... which reduces competition and thus raises prices. The second is the increasing dependence on private insurance companies to make up the difference to hospitals and doctors for the habitual underfunding of Medicare (which is slated for $500 billion in cuts under Obamacare) and Medicaid. And as the insurance companies' costs go up, so do the premiums charged to employers.

The third reason is a significant increase in recession-related "stress-induced illnesses," which oddly seem to have skyrocketed since Barack Obama took control of the economy.

But it would be unfair of Hope n' Change to focus only on the areas in which Obamacare is causing costs to go up. So in the interest of journalistic integrity, we need to note that another study has shown that many emergency rooms will not be charging more for their services in the future.

Unfortunately, it's because they're going out of business at a frightening rate... especially those emergency rooms which are most dependent on getting reimbursement from the government. And as a result, the remaining emergency rooms must serve more patients, causing longer waits and allowing less attention.

If employer healthcare costs continued to rise at 8.5% a year as they are expected to in 2012, it would be catastrophic for the job market - but experts say that won't happen.

When Obamacare takes full effect in 2014, it will be much worse.

Yesterday Big Sis (Napolitano) announced an 18 month extension for 'Protected Status' for thousands Haitian refugees in the US. Don't ask me where she got the authority - but she made the announcment.

And just as sure as God made little green apples, yesterday afternoon, the Executive Director of the "Haitian Women of Miami" (yes they have their own incorporated association and paid staff, these poor refugees) praised the Obamanation Regime and then asked:

"whether officials have considered a family reunification parole program for Haitians, “like there is for Cubans.” Such a program would speed up the immigration process for thousands of Haitians on the island whose visa petitions have already been approved."

So, there you have it Pilgrims, these folks ain't never going to have to go home to Haiti, and they know it. So now they want the Gob'mint to expedite immigration for the rest of their extended families. No waiting in line like the rest of the world.......... just 'C'mon down'!!!!!

Suspicions confirmed.... BO's Porkulus Bill lost jobs...

A new report examining the American Recovery & Reinvestment Act ... (read Stimulus or Porkulus Bill) released yesterday dramatically shows that the TRILLION TAX DOLLAR BILL created or saved about 450,000 Gob'mint jobs ...... BUT destroyed or forestalled 1,000,000 plus jobs in the private sector...... (click on charts to see detail)

Why? Because most of the money went to offset state shortfalls and Medicaid increases instead of supporting private sector (remember the term 'shovel ready'?) jobs.

The shoveling was done Pilgrims, but it was bovine excrement that was being shoveled....along with a trillion of our TAX dollars...... not projects.

You all watched (or heard about) the Senate hearings last week at which 'Chuck-You' Schumer and other life long political hacks railed at the evil Oil Men and their obscene profits....

Here is a set of facts ---

The per gallon profit for these oil companies during these good times is about 8¢!!! Yep - eight cents.

The taxes imposed on us per gallon by Federal and State governments is about 47¢!!! Yep, forty-seven cents ----

Six times as much as the profit the oil company makes, and the gob'mint doesn't explore, drill, ship, refine, or deliver to the pumps.. They just stand there at the pumps with a gun on their hip making us pay up!!!

Don't it make you feel proud of our Senators and their demagoguery ?

Microsoft and Starbucks make more net profit, percentage-wise, than the oil companies for crying out loud.

If you want to get mad, get mad at the Congress and White House for assuming we, the unwashed public, are so durned stupid that we believe their lies, pandering, and pompous windbagging...... or perhaps - is that the problem..................that too many of us do believe them?

Keeping my fingers crossed..............

..........while I am waiting for Congressman Paul Ryan's announcement today whether he'll run for the vacant Senate seat from Wisconsin.

I am hoping that popular ex Gob'nor Tommy Thompson's announcement that he will run if Ryan doesn't - causes Ryan to decide to stay where he's at in the House and finish his Budget job. Greed for a higher job has ruined many a career and many a great plan. I hope this isn't another instance.

My message to Congressman Ryan - stay in the House, finish your work while the GOP is still running the joint -- six years from now that task in the House will be done, and then 78 year old Senator Thompson will be ready to step down and be called Senator/Governor/Secretary Thompson the rest of his life as he writes his memoirs!

And then, young 48 year old Congressman Paul Ryan will be ready to be Senator Ryan!!

Ease back son......... do it right!!

I was reminded of that old rule of investment survival when I read the Bloomberg report in this morning's Washington Post. What brought it to mind was this headline:

"Treasury to tap pensions to help fund government"

It went on to say:

The Obama administration will begin to tap federal retiree programs to help fund operations after the government loses its ability Monday to borrow more money from the public, adding urgency to efforts in Washington to fashion a compromise over the debt.

Treasury Secretary Timothy F. Geithner has warned for months that the government would soon hit the $14.3 trillion debt ceiling — a legal limit on how much it can borrow. With the government poised to reach that limit Monday, Geithner is undertaking special measures in an effort to postpone the day when he will no longer have enough funds to pay all of the government’s bills.

So Pilgrims, let me get this straight -- our Gob'mint has spent it's way to near bankruptcy, used up it's line of credit several times, and now once again - instead of reining in spending (or even considering such a step) is saying out loud that they are going to start raiding the obligated retirement fund piggy banks!!

The federal government’s largest housing construction program for the poor has squandered hundreds of millions of dollars on stalled or abandoned projects and routinely failed to crack down on derelict developers or the local housing agencies that funded them.

Nationwide, nearly 700 projects awarded $400 million have been idling for years, a Washington Post investigation found. Some have languished for a decade or longer even as much of the country struggles with record-high foreclosures and a dramatic loss of affordable housing.

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, which oversees the nation’s housing fund, has largely looked the other way: It does not track the pace of construction and often fails to spot defunct deals, instead trusting local agencies to police projects.

The result is a trail of failed developments in every corner of the country. Fields where apartment complexes were promised are empty and neglected. Houses that were supposed to be renovated are boarded up and crumbling, eyesores in decaying neighborhoods.

In Inglewood, Calif., a sprawling, overgrown lot two blocks from city hall frustrates senior citizens who were promised a state-of-the-art housing complex more than four years ago. Although the city invested $2 million in HUD funds, the developer doesn’t have the financing to move forward.

In Newark, two partially completed duplexes sit empty in a neighborhood blighted by boarded-up homes lost to foreclosure. The city paid nearly $400,000 to build the houses, but after a decade of delays, the developer folded and never finished. The money has not been repaid.

In Orange, Tex., 35-year-old laborer Jay Breed lives next to a dumping ground littered with tires and other trash, where a nonprofit developer was supposed to build 50 houses for the poor. Five years later, with $140,000 in HUD money gone, no homes have gone up.

“It’s a wasteland,” Breed said.

The Post examined every major project currently funded under the HUD program, analyzing a database of 5,100 projects worth $3.2 billion, studying more than 600 satellite images and collecting information from 165 housing agencies nationwide.

One of these days the citizens of this country are going to have to decide if we want a constitutional president or a constitutional king for four years......

Every president for the last 80 years has been handed more and more independent authority by the Congress......... as it acts to free itself from pesky tasks. Wanna start a war? Go Ahead!, Wanna stop oil drilling? Go Ahead. Wanna keep Boeing from opening a factory in South Carolina? Go Ahead!

The latest of these power handovers has been proposed by Senator 'Chuckyou' Schumer, with Senate Bill 679, a Bill which would end the Senate's authority to 'Advise & Consent' on high federal appointments by the POTUS. More than 200 high positions would be exempted from their review, pesky little work tasks that they are anyway.

You'll note that even 7 Republicans including Mitch McConnell have signed on.. How about swifter action by these inventors of the three day work week, , not more abrogation of responsibilities!!

If you recall your history books, our Forefathers offered George Washington a crown - and he refused it..... as well as a third term. Now we have a US Senate that's trying to crown the POTUS by going AWOL in it's responsibilities!

In Texas, our Legislature only meets every two years...

......and then only for a few months..... but Hot Damn!! Watch out for them when they do!

When some TSA agent stands in a Texas airport waiting to 'cop a feel' like this dude in the picture --- they have a whole 'nother' thing to worry about!

It may not make it thru Federal Courts but the Texas Legislature today passed a bill making it a felony offense (with jail time and fines) for any of these minimum wage bullies to touch “the anus, sexual organ, buttocks, or breast of another person” including through clothing.

It also prohibits searches “that would be offensive to a reasonable person.”

The bill’s chief sponsor is Republican Rep. David Simpson, who said, “this has to do with dignity and travel, and prohibiting indecent, groping searches.”

He believes it will keep Transportation Security Administration officials from treating travelers like criminals, though the measure may be superseded by federal law.

After a brief but raucous debate, lawmakers approved the measure with little opposition — drawing applause from supporters.

Some ole' boys with way too much time on their hands have been doing their homework and discovered that having the middle name of "Wayne" can be a dangerous thing. I want you to click on this link. and look at all them ole' boys with the middle name of 'Wayne' who have been accused of murder.

Not all were convicted but every durned name on that list has been accused of murder! Not just manslaughter mind you -- but murder.. So if you got a neighbor........ y'know, just saying.

Oh and by the way, when you go to naming your sons or grandsons, you might wanna think plumb hard before you hang that Wayne in the middle of his name.

Of all the possible causes - I kinda like that 'John Wayne' excuse the best... how about you?

I am happy to announce that the Darth Vaders of Washington haven't shut down all of Blogspots' sites....... Don't even believe this glitch was caused by the Obamanation announcement of gob'mint's new cyber policies........ It's been a frustrating 24+ hours for us all!

Back to bid'ness as usual.... with one caveat! On Wednesday I promised myself that I would take a three day break from mentioning, commenting on, making fun of, or drawing attention to the one that is currently (and hopefully - briefly) occupying the White House.

So we'll just have to look at other stuff twixt now and Monday ........ stuff being a technical term I have come to live with!

Obama has been making "gutsy calls" all over the place!

In full campaign mode, he's been deploying his administrative agencies to do favors for his big contributors, to the detriment of ordinary Americans.

Last week, Obama made the gutsy call to threaten public schools that are asking students for proof of residency. The memorandum warned school districts that it's illegal to ask students for proof of citizenship or legal residency status.

Obama's wealthy donors need illegals so they can get cheap nannies, cooks and pool boys.

On the other hand, illegals being paid off the books are not helping Americans find jobs.

According to a May 4, 2011, report from the (liberal) Pew Research Center for the People & the Press, 76 percent of "hard-pressed Democrats" -- defined as "religious, financially struggling" -- agree with the statement: "Immigrants today ... are a burden on our country because they take our jobs, housing and health care."

As Kausfiles observes, maybe financially struggling Democrats believe immigrants "take our jobs" because they do.

Whose side is Obama on?

Forget the grand arguments about whether illegals are hard workers and are a net plus to the beautiful American mosaic. We have skyrocketing unemployment. Our citizens are in distress. Now is not the time to be putting another anvil around the American worker's neck.

Also last week, an immigration judge made the gutsy call to disregard the federal Defense of Marriage Act -- passed overwhelmingly by Congress and signed into law by President Clinton -- and allow an illegal alien to stay in this country based on his "marriage" to another man. He based his ruling on the gutsy decision of Obama's attorney general to challenge the ordered deportation of another illegal alien just days earlier, citing the alien's gay marriage to an American.

By coincidence, Obama has been getting huge campaign donations from gay activist groups. And his wealthy donors also need cheap interior decorators.

How many illegal servants do Obama's friends need? Another million? How about 10 million? Then will Obama start enforcing immigration laws? And isn't it his job to enforce the law, irrespective of whether his campaign contributors need slave labor?

Then Obama made the gutsy decision to sue Arizona to block a state law requiring secret ballots for union elections.

Who's benefiting here -- and who's being harmed? The union bosses will be happy, but American workers will now be subjected to union thuggery coercing them to vote for the unions.

Labor unions did such wonderful things for Detroit's economy that the city recently recorded its lowest population since the 1910 census, and the federal government has had to bail out two of the city's major employers, General Motors and Chrysler.

Currently, Detroit boasts a 47 percent adult illiteracy rate, which is fantastic news for Democrats. (Ironically, I read that in the Detroit News.)

Two weeks ago, Obama's National Labor Relations Board made the gutsy call to file a complaint against Boeing for attempting to build a new airplane production plant in South Carolina -- a right-to-work state -- and demanding that the plant be opened in Washington state -- a dying Democratic pro-union state.

Suing Boeing for building a plant in South Carolina will certainly help Obama raise lots of campaign money from labor unions. Unfortunately, more Americans workers will be unemployed when Boeing and other companies give up on building plants in America and move yet more of their operations offshore.

But the Obama administration is gutsily punishing right-to-work states -- even states that merely require secret ballots in order to obviate coercion by union thugs.

What are Americans supposed to do to earn money? Obama doesn't care: Ordinary Americans are irrelevant to the Democrats' electoral ambitions -- they exist only to justify the hiring of more government workers.

The Democrats have now officially abandoned working-class Americans.

Obama is doing what's in his and his party's self-interest, rather than concerning himself with the mass of American citizens. He is using his executive authority to reward gays, illegal aliens, do-nothing government employees, far-left union bosses, abortion industry executives and global warming kooks.

Are you on that list of Obama's friends?

Democrats blithely act as if big labor, pro-illegal-immigration, pro-government union policies combined with massive government red tape and huge socialist programs will have no effect on jobs.

They incessantly repeat "gutsy call" for "you'd have to have been brain-dead not to make the call to kill bin Laden," hoping the Democratic Party will suddenly seem macho.

Then, after a few weeks of robotically chanting "gutsy call," they can get back to their true passion -- destroying jobs -- at which point they will robotically chant Bush's name to explain why millions of Americans have lost their jobs under Obama.

How gutsy.

Obamanation went to rouse the rabble in El Paso yesterday..

...I'm plumb proud to see that as the sitting POTUS, he didn't stoop to demagoguing the issue of illegal immigration -- but stayed on the high road!!!




Did y'all ever notice that his voice rises about two octaves when he falls back into his Chicago community organizer mode? It get's plumb screechy, don't it.

Here is what Billy Madison would probably say to Obamanation after that high pitched rant!

So what's the big deal.................?

Everybody seems to have their knickers in a twist because ''the computer' picked two Obama appointed judges and one Clinton appointed judge of the 4th Federal District court to hear the Obamacare case in Virginia.

Why the worry -?: All three of these judges took and swore to the following oath:

"I, [NAME], do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will administer justice without respect to persons, and do equal right to the poor and to the rich, and that I will faithfully and impartially discharge and perform all the duties incumbent upon me as [TITLE] under the Constitution and laws of the United States. So help me God."

So, like I say, what's the problem? These folks have sworn to follow the Constitution and the laws of the United States. Not their political bent...........!
