Sheriff Joe Arpaio to the Senate?

I read this morning that polls show Sheriff Joe Arpaio of Arizona leads the pack for replacing Senator Kyle of AZ when he steps down next year ---and he hasn't even announced that he is interested in the job.

But then, I don't reckon he will.

He has enjoyed a long career as Commander in Chief of Maricopa County, Arizona! Why would he want to downgrade his position to junior most Senator in a camp of 100?

I don't think so......
