Chicagoland, a city of deep cemeteries.....(and broad shoulders)

I noted the sad story today that a Cook County (Chicago, Ill) cemetery has been saving land by burying the dead eight deep.

While some folks are expressing disgust at such treatment of the deceased, I also hear a rumor that voter registration employees have been getting in line all day at the local ACORN Office to get assigned to Homewood Memorial Gardens for their task. The very idea of being able to register 8 new voters every six feet just seems like the dream job of a lifetime, one opined.

No more block walking! Nor even walking across broad acres of cemeteries... Stacks of new registrants right at their feet, and just in time to help Rahmbo become mayor!!

More on the story here.
