Battlefield Gay Sensitivity Training....

Naw, Pilgrims, I ain't talking about being nice to the enemy --- I'm talking about a new Gob'mint policy to bring gay sensitivity training to Afghanistan. A platoon comes in off patrol, and those that don't need immediate medical care -- WILL sit down and listen to a lecture about loving their brother soldiers---- but only figuratively, not literally!!

In their usual cowardly way, some Perfumed Prince in the Pentagon decided it would be better to have this massive policy change announced by the enlisted Army Command SGT Major instead of a fellow Prince with stars on his shoulder. So much more down to earth.... doncha know!!

When was the last time you heard the Command Sgt Major in Kabul, Afghanistan, hold a teleconference Pentagon press briefing with reporters instead of a general or Army PR Flack? Hmmm?

Among his words when he announced that this sensitivity training will begin on the battlefield 'forthwith', was also said:

“While we own those soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines, we’re going to execute that training on the ground. We hope that it will have little impact on their combat and security operations here.”

As you read the linked article, if you wish, read between the lines and ask yourself why the news was released in this manner.

Another phony baloney millionaire hits the air waves....

It's getting plumb tiresome hearing all these left wingnut billionaires and millionaires complain because they are getting tax cuts.

Last night, at the multi-buck soiree that Obamanation had taxpayer paid staff set up for, taxpayer paid food and drink supplied to, singer John Legend proclaimed,

"People fought to give me - a millionaire - a tax cut this year," he said. "I didn't need it. And all the other millionaires didn't need it either."

He went on to whine that he is frustrated with the discourse that's coming out of Washington these days. The question he didn't answer was: How many bucks over his annual tax bill has he told his tax accountant to send to Washington in April?

All these spoiled celebs, bid'ness zillionaires and even overpaid talking heads on TV, spend their evenings complaining about not being taxed more ----- and then spend their daytimes working with their high priced (and deductible) tax attorneys designing trusts, tax loopholes and other ways to cut down on the money they have to send to Washington...

Is hypocrite spelled with a capital H in these cases.......??

President of ALL THE PEOPLE????

I noted in Politico.com, that Obamanation (and his Veep, Bite Me) has invited the Governors of the states to a private meeting at the White House today. They topic will be, "the ways Washington and the States can work together to grow the economy and create jobs' --

What's that you say? Not all the Governors? Just the Democrats?

We have fifty states, twenty-nine of which are governed by Republicans --- and they are excluded (as a group) from this POTUS hosted White House meeting to 'grow the economy and create jobs'!!

Kinda makes one wonder if The One had his fingers crossed when he took the oath of office -- or perhaps, this meeting is more about how to stop the Republican Gov'nors' efforts to regain control of their states budgets... A battle meeting to protect the unions, perhaps?

Hmmm.....

MAN BITES DOG STORY?????

Tired of the way that the TSA workers treat their customers and themselves, a restaurant near SeaTac Airport (Seattle-Tacoma Int Airport) has placed all TSA workers on a "NO-EAT' list.

"According to The Raw Story, the owner of the restaurant (which is unnamed in the article) is fed up with the way the TSA has treated its clientele. The owner himself is a frequent flier and, according to an employee who is quoted:

has an amazing ability to remember faces. If he sees a TSA agent come in we turn our backs and completely ignore them, and tell them to leave.

Their kind aren’t welcomed in our establishment. A large majority of our customers—over 90 percent—agree with our stance and stand by our decision.

The restaurant employee notes:

We even have the police on our side and they have helped us escort TSA agents out of our cafe. Until TSA agents start treating us with the respect and dignity that we deserve, then things will change for them in the private sector."

Apparently, the 'Stockholm Syndrome' has not yet taken over this great country and it's TSA prisoners!!!

As you watch this short video of AFL-CIO Chief Thug, Richard Trumpka, bragging that he has daily contact with the White House and twice weekly visits to the White House.... let your mind wander and picture the chief of an oil company or Boeing or a gob'mint contractor like Haliburton, leaning back and bragging this same way about his access to George W's White House...

My God, the MSM would be breaking legs rushing to their newspaper and TV offices to share the horror of it all.....

It's been recently reported that Two-Thirds of Wisconsin Public School 8th Graders cannot read proficiently - despite highest per-pupil spending in the Mid-West! One might wonder how this condition could come to pass -- but like they say - a picture is worth a thousand words.

Here is a graphic explanation of the cause of such an oxymoronic condition. Best funded school system, low performance results. This Wisconsin school teacher was protesting, along with thousands of other teachers, in Madison on Monday --- take a long slow look at that sign that she carefully thought up, designed and printed.

At least her tea cup is accurate!!

It appears the 'gloves' are finally coming off......

I woke up this morning with this quote from Speaker of the House Boehner staring me in the face:

“The President of the United States has a unique opportunity and responsibility to lead this nation. President Obama has acknowledged the challenges we face, but – thus far – he has done nothing to offer solutions. Now, worse, his political organization is colluding with special-interest allies across the country to demagogue reform-minded governors who are making the tough choices that the President is avoiding."

Whoa Nellie! I guess Boehner saying this makes him a racist or something. I reckon Tingly Leg Matthews will tell us later today -- But if you'd like to read the rest of this powerful quote -click on this link to HOTAIR.

Chicagoland, a city of deep cemeteries.....(and broad shoulders)

I noted the sad story today that a Cook County (Chicago, Ill) cemetery has been saving land by burying the dead eight deep.

While some folks are expressing disgust at such treatment of the deceased, I also hear a rumor that voter registration employees have been getting in line all day at the local ACORN Office to get assigned to Homewood Memorial Gardens for their task. The very idea of being able to register 8 new voters every six feet just seems like the dream job of a lifetime, one opined.

No more block walking! Nor even walking across broad acres of cemeteries... Stacks of new registrants right at their feet, and just in time to help Rahmbo become mayor!!

More on the story here.

This is our America????

On Thursday evening, Sec of State Hellary gave a speech at George Washington University condemning governments that arrest protesters and allow free expression.....

During her speech, a 71 year old Vet wearing a Veterans for Peace Tee shirt, stood quietly and turned his back on her.

He was immediately attacked by a uniformed cop, a gestapo (?) agent in civvies, handcuffed and wrestled out of the hall where he was brutalized and left bleeding in jail.

About those public employee protesters.........

I believe that if I was smart enough to get elected Gob'nor of Wisconsin, Ohio or New Jersey..... or as Speaker of the House of Representatives.....

That I would be smart enough to hire some real sharp PR flacks and give them marching orders to go out and turn back the slings and arrows of the SEIU, other unions, and community organizers by mounting a publicity campaign pointing out to the electorate - that these folks are marching and protesting against the Taxpayers of America! Not their elected officials.

Their gob'ments are broke, the coffers are empty, the tax payers have no more to give to these public sector workers --and users. So every sign that is raised in protest is raised in protest against John Q Public, homeowner and taxpayer for not paying more!

Does this makes sense or is it just me?

Besides, this new union organized tactic of picketing and demonstrating in private neighborhoods where elected leaders and corporate officers happen to live is bringing this whole scenario to a new low......There oughtta be a law ...IMHO!

Michelle Obamanation's answer to Obesity? Gary Varvel thinks so...

Daffy Definition "Schizophrenia"

Remember that old column? When defining the schizophrenia of the American Public, one need look no further than current polls....

I offer the following definition without comment:

Latest Polls (Real Clear Politics)

POTUS: Approval rating - 49% Disapprove - 41%
Direction of Country: Approval rating - Right - 36% Wrong 56%

Obamacare: Approve - 33% Oppose - 51%
Defunding Obamacare: Disapprove - 55% Approve - 35%

So 49% of those polled approve of the POTUS leading us in the wrong direction!

And, 55% of those polled do NOT want Congress to defund a program that 51% oppose!!

Sheriff Joe Arpaio to the Senate?

I read this morning that polls show Sheriff Joe Arpaio of Arizona leads the pack for replacing Senator Kyle of AZ when he steps down next year ---and he hasn't even announced that he is interested in the job.

But then, I don't reckon he will.

He has enjoyed a long career as Commander in Chief of Maricopa County, Arizona! Why would he want to downgrade h
is position to junior most Senator in a camp of 100?

I don't think so......

The ultimate 'Dear John' letter (or) Whose face is red now?

"In my capacity as the Career Manager for the Versatile Engagement Long Career, [....] I write to notify you with regret, I must issue you with 12 months Notice of Termination"

Thus read the E-Mail that a Brit Tank Commander Warrant Officer on the front lines of Afghanistan received.............along with 37 other career Warrant Officers and Sgt Majors.

Or as the headline reads in the British Daily Sun "Heroes Sacked by E-Mail"

Big time oooooops!

I wonder if the Prime Minister will send a similar E-Mail to the Career Manager for Versatile Engagement.......

'Lame Stream Media!!!'

(Tip O' the Stetson, Al)

I ain't believing it.............

Obamanation readily admits that America's debt now equals it's total US Economy --- $15 Trillion ($15.000.000.000.000) !!!!

And offers no reduction of that debt between now and the next election. I cannot believe it, even from this hand puppet.

Pictured here with OMB Director Jacob Lew who looks like he'd likek to be anywhere else -- with anybody else....

For a great short column spelling this insanity out, click here to go to the Washington Times article.

Winter closing in on Minnesota?

A five foot two inch, 400-pound woman was foiled in her getaway when she was shoplifting $600 worth of electronics in a store in Rochester Hills, Minnesota! Apparently the cart broke down from the weight and got stuck going through the door alarm.

She punched out the store guard, then threatened to punch out a police officer..... a Taser settled her down, apparently. They'll do that - I hear!!

I wonder if she'll sue because the handicapped cart couldn't handle her 'wide load'?

Again, in Rochester Hills Minnesota, a foreign single mother married a convicted murderer who has been in prison since 1993. All she wants for Valentines Day is a Green Card, because after all, she is married to an American.....

Maybe it's all that snow............?

Superbowl Flyover or Super Fiasco?

I read this morning in the London Daily Mail (where I seem to find most of my accurate current US news lately) that the Navy spent $450,000 to fly five jet fighters from Virginia to Arlington to fly over Cowboy Stadium during the Superbowl.

As we all know, the stadium roof was closed - the fans only saw the same five second TV shot that we did.

- The Navy claims it serves as a 'training' mission and aids recruitment.
- The NFL gets the flyover free in exchange for the five second promo.

I'm not such a purist that I would say that flyovers of a closed stadium is similar to a cheerleader on the roof of an empty gym.......... but as a taxpayer, I gotta wonder,

..with all of the Navy & Air Force Reserve jet fighter squadrons here in Texas, from the coast up to the panhandle, wouldn't it make just a tad more sense to scramble five of them locals instead of Virginia's?

Just pondering..

Ron Reagan Jr - Paris Hilton in drag?

I just read yet another (sigh) interview with the ill begotten spawn of Ronald Wilson Reagan.

In the interview he opined that his Dad was more akin to Obamanation than Sarah Palin. And I got to wondering -- is it possible that whatever fruits and vegetables make up Paris Hilton's head - are some how related to young Ron's?

Lets see, neither have accomplished anything on their own - neither have exhibited any tangible talent, they both live off their names and their legacies - they both bring shame to those names and legacies... that's a lot of coincidences.

Now don't get me wrong Pilgrims, I'm not ready to compare young Sarah Palin to RWR just yet either. She has many miles to travel and years to grow. On the other hand, at her age, Reagan was a radio sports broadcaster and B Movie actor, not a past Governor, Veep Nominee, and national conservative icon.

She has 36 more years before she'll be the age RWR was when he was first inaugurated ...

But.........comparing Reagan, in youth or as an elder, to Obamanation is tantamount to comparing Winston Churchill to Sean Penn!!!

Why doesn't he find another liberal radio network that nobody listens to like his old stand, Air America ..... and disappear..... he ain't gonna peddle anymore books in my neighborhood!

Regarding 'Oooops" post below....

Ramirez reminds us.........

Just a couple of days ago, the world learned that Obamanation and his minions turned over British nuclear missile information to the Russkies to get them to sign the START Treaty!!

(see Ooooops post below)

Just one more example of Obamanation's lack of loyalty to allies, complete lack of class, and an embarrassment to the Nation!!

Day after Superbowl Benchmarks.....

- Of all the singers, professional and amateur in this great country -- they chose the only one, Christine Aguilera, that could screw it up that bad -- not to mention forget the words....

- Of all the talent and super-show stars in this great country --- they chose the only group, Black eyed peas, who could come up Zero in half time show ratings.....

- Of all the great talents in this country that could serve as POTUS, we chose one who is so petulant as a Bears fan -- 24 hours later, he still hasn't called the Packers to congratulate them and invite them to the White House. (Note - when the Steelers won in 2009, he called the owner, the coach and the quarterback individually and invited them all to the White House.

and finally, the President of the United States spoke to the American Chamber of Commerce this morning for 35 minutes....................... earned two rounds of applause...... yep, just two!!

Not to worry however, his personal press team, aka, MSM, are carrying his water ---

"Time’s Mark Halperin has hailed Obama as “magnetic,” “distinguished” and “inspiring” — in one story. ABC’s Christiane Amanpour saw “Reaganesque” optimism and “Kennedyesque” encouragement — all in one speech. Howard Fineman, the former Newsweek columnist who now writes for The Huffington Post, said conductor Obama was now leading a “love train” through D.C."

Using the words 'Obama' in the same sentence with 'Reaganesque & Kennedyesque' must have brought down at least a couple of bolts of lightning from higher and brighter sources.

I reckon Steve Breen defines the day well.....

EPA runs amok again, still, yet, anon.......

In only the latest example of their bureaucratic muscle flexing - two weeks ago the Environmental Protection Agency --- yeah them again !! ----- promulgated a new rule that:

"... subjects dairy producers to the Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasure program, which was created in 1970 to prevent oil discharges in navigable waters or near shorelines. Naturally, it usually applies to oil and natural gas outfits. But the EPA has discovered that milk contains “a percentage of animal fat, which is a non-petroleum oil,” as the agency put it in the Federal Register.

In other words, the EPA thinks the next blowout may happen in rural Vermont or Wisconsin. Other dangerous pollution risks that somehow haven’t made it onto the EPA docket include leaks from maple sugar taps and the vapors at Badger State breweries.

The EPA rule requires farms—as well as places that make cheese, butter, yogurt, ice cream and the like—to prepare and implement an emergency management plan in the event of a milk catastrophe. Among dozens of requirements, farmers must train first responders in cleanup protocol and build “containment facilities” such as dikes or berms to mitigate offshore dairy slicks."

Trust me folks, this ain't a joke! The above is from an editorial in the Wall Street Journal.

Yessirree Bob! Let a cow kick over a bucket of milk now by God, and you'll have the full force and power of the United States Gob'mint in your barn!!

If ever a Beltway department of thugs. bullies and hooligans needed an old fashioned strop taken to them --- a budget ax wielded on them ---- a big time reduction if force (RIF)...... it's abbreviated name would be the 'EPA'!!!

If Congress is really looking for places to cut wasted funding, the DEPARTMENTS OF ENERGY, EPA, EDUCATION, and HHS are all waving their collective hands in the air - saying "Me, Congress, pick me!!!"

I am delighted to see ..........

....that at tomorrow's Super Bowl Game, in spite of the fact that there will be no cheerleaders (neither team has them). they will be opening the game with this brief video honoring our Nation's greatest ever Cheerleader in Charge!!

Rest in Peace, Mr President!!!

Oooooops ain't nearly a big enough word...

for Obamanations latest flagrant act of disregard for friends and allies.

When I first read yesterday (Friday) in the London Telegraph that OUR GOB'MINT, in direct conflict with Great Britain's wishes, released a wheelbarrow load of top secret information about their missile numbers and capabilities to Moscow..... just because the Russkies asked for it before they would sign the new START Treaty

I can't remember a time in American History where a President sold out an ally with such casualness. Well, there was that FDR feller giving half of Europe to Stalin......

It was disappointing that none of the American TV networks carried this story on their Five PM news last night - but I am happy to see Fox News carrying it every hour today. I dunno about the Clinton News Network or the Saturday morning cartoon broadcast channels.

Wikileaks cables show that Obama agreed to give Britain's nuclear missile secrets to Russia in exchange for signing START treaty........ according to the London Telegraph.....

Hopefully this is wrong ---- because it is ssoooooo WRONG!

When you read the MSM releases today about Hellary 'sealing the deal' in Moscow..... think of what really happened..... who can you trust in 2011?

Friday, February 4, 2011

Wouldn't it be great..........

............ if somehow this video could be played over and over in some subliminal manner in the bedrooms of Jimma Carter and Bubba Clinton! Maybe somehow they'd get the message, that the intent of the forefathers was for a POTUS to serve his time in Washington, and then return to his private life and home state.

Why, I don't reckon 'W' is even gonna buy a townhouse in Georgetown, DC.....

Ronald Reagan -- the first 100 years....

With the Century mark coming up on President Ronald Wilson Reagan's birthday, everybody seems to be piling on! Even the Dim Dems seem to have realized that RWR is going to be canonized, so they better co-opt him and his legacy as their own....

Everybody has their favorite quotes........ my favorites are those that reflect his sense of humor:

"I hope you're all Republicans." -speaking to surgeons as he entered the operating room following a 1981 assassination attempt.

"I have left orders to be awakened at any time in case of national emergency -- even if I'm in a Cabinet meeting."

"What does an actor know about politics?" -criticizing Ed Asner for opposing American foreign policy

............. and my favorite?

"I've noticed that everyone who is for abortion has already been born."

It will be interesting to watch just how far the Dimmocrats will go to cloak Reagan in their mantle. I have already heard one Dim comment on 'How many Obama characteristics Reagan had'!!! Give me a break ---

And of course.... you've already seen the DNC's pamphlet - Time Magazine's cover down below do their bit for this campaign!!

Annie aims, fires, and hits the bullseye....

Normally, when Ann Coulter hits the target, I quote most or all of her column in here. I think this week I will let you go read her column with a simple click....

But before you click and split however, .... in your mind, review all of the rhetoric we've seen since the sicko caused all the mayhem in Tuscon.. No, don't bother to review the idiot statements of the village idiot with the sheriff's badge. Think of all the calls to action:

- Guns don't kill people -- extended magazines do!

- Outlaw long clips, peace will reign once again!

- Show me a man with room for 23 cartridges in his magazine, I'll show you a killer on the prowl!

Okay, you've passed the test -- now click here to read what Annie has to say on the topic in her column in Townhall.com.

Crime & Punishment, 2011 Style !!

The criminal: 14 year old High School Freshman Andrew M. A freshman honor student and member of his school's Jr ROTC in Virginia.

His confession: "It was a stupid thing to do."

The weapon, a three inch plastic ball point pen tube and tiny plastic pellets. (You knew them as 'spit wads')

The Charges: Three counts of misdemeanor assault.

The Punishment: Expulsion from school for the full school year and a criminal record.

The Question: When does the insanity of 'zero tolerance' end and the beginning of adult, professional behavior return to our schools?

My 2012 GOP Nominee list just got shorter by one!!

I have long been a fan of Newt Gingrich's. I even forgave him his moment of insanity sitting on that couch with Nancy Pelosi in the tree-huggers commercial a couple of years ago.

Unfortunately, as brilliant as he is, I have figured him to be unelectable - primarily because of the political and personal baggage he drags behind. But I still admired the guy -- and his ability to relate history to the present and to the the future.

Alas.. he has come out of the gate running for the rail in this upcoming Republican nomination chase --- and the rail he is running toward is 'ethanol subsidies'. A pox on ethanol, ethanol subsidies, and all involved with this billion dollar tax money boondoggle. Unfortunately, Newt has elected to major in Pandering 101 instead of American History and Statesmanship.

Did he learn nothing from the voters last November?

Every time I go near a gas pump, or the meat and poultry counter in my local grocery store -- all with rising prices --- I will be reminded of Newt's Negatives -- Now back to the search for an honest man.......where is Diogenes when I need him?

Go here for a great Editorial on this topic in the Wall Street Journal.
